I was new to the area and sold by the good reviews, as well as a close family member who had used their service for *decades*. My experiences started out great--they have several people who do the visits and I only met one of them, but he did great with my cats and was clearly an experienced pet person. This was never an issue. There were a few bumps, like when I asked for my plants to be watered, and they said that it "wasn't necessary" since I would only be gone for 2 days, but I know my plants, and of course I come back to them wilted. But the cats were fine and they even used the hand-vac to clean up extra litter around the box, so I was fine letting small things like that slide for the sake of a consistent relationship with a small business who did a perfectly fine job for the premium ($43 per "30 minute" visit) which they charge. I was just glad to have consistent and readily available cat care to trust when I went away. I like to think I've always been an easy to deal with client, having super friendly and low-maintenance cats, a clean apartment (leaving the A/C on for days when I'm away in the summer), giving plenty of notice when booking visits, paying well in advance, and leaving all supplies neatly on counter. Over the last several months I'd noticed several inconsistencies with what I'd come home to find after being away--the most disturbing being both the cat's water fountains completely dry after 4 visits in January. This could've been a life or death situation if I didn't come back when I did, but nothing like this had ever happened before with them, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt if this being a one-off and didn't mention it. I always fill water fountains before I leave, and water they take several days to run completely dry--the steam gets lower for a day, and then goes out. This means to be left DRY, the only explanation is that the water fountains were not checked or refilled for several days in a row. After coming back from a weekend trip 2 weeks ago, I noticed several more inconsistencies, things which I've addressed with them before, and decided to send an email mentioning these, and finally deciding to mention the water fountain incident. My intention if this email was a tone of appropriate concern over these building inconsistencies, and really just needing and expecting to receive a reply like "so sorry this happened, we will be sure to be mindful with future visits when addressing the issues you've mentioned for future visits". Instead, they clearly took my comments very personally and replied very quickly saying that I clearly didn't trust them and they were going to mail me my keys and not come back. I was pretty shocked at the lack of professionalism and impulsive reactivity of this response, so I replied with another long email apologizing if I offended them, explaining that the reason I'm mentioning these things was because I DO (did) trust them and just wanted to ensure the same quality of care I've been paying for since the he beginning. With the water issue, the brushed it off saying that it was over a month ago so how were they supposed to remember what happened (this lack of response only validated my concerns). The screwed up thing is that after these defensive and unprofessional responses, I basically ended up begging them to stay, if for no other reason than I had booked them for this coming weekend, paid in advance, and would now have to scramble for last minute coverage or cancel my plans entirely. Additionally, my cats, like most pets take time to get used to new people, and hiring someone new causes them (and me) unnecessary stress. I don't like leaving anything less than a 5 star review for deserving small businesses, and unlike Naomi from Pet Sitter's Club, chose to wait and make sure I was level-headed and not emotionally reacting before posting my experience. All in all, Pet Sitter's Club provides adequate care for a premium fee as long as you don't provide any feedback that can potentially be perceived as criticism, don't expect consistent service, and don't want to feel valued as a customer. Now that they've showed their true colors, it's clear I should not have given Naomi and James my trust for as long as I did.

Exceptional Dog Care Service Near Crocheron Park!…read more I can't express how happy I am to have found Doggy Do-Gooders! I've always been extremely hands-on with my dog, Kuma, a 13-year-old Pomeranian Poodle who's energetic yet reserved and a bit high-maintenance (white fur challenges, anyone?). For years, I found it difficult to trust anyone else to handle his care, but Doggy Do-Gooders completely changed my perspective. I discovered them through a friend's recommendation, and I was surprised to learn how conveniently located they are near Crocheron Park in Bayside. Their team--particularly Jason and Alix--has been fantastic. They come directly to us, which makes everything so seamless, and their care and attention to Kuma make them feel like part of the family. The service is incredibly personable. Jason has an almost intuitive understanding of Kuma's needs, from walking to overall handling, which gives me such peace of mind. They've even managed to work with Kuma's quirky reserved nature while ensuring he gets the exercise and engagement he needs. What I love most is their reliability and professionalism. They're always punctual, communicate well, and even send updates during walks (sometimes with adorable photos of Kuma!). These small touches make a huge difference, especially for someone like me who's always been cautious about delegating my dog's care. Doggy Do-Gooders is a true diamond in the rough. I wasn't able to find them on Google, but that makes them feel even more like a hidden gem. If you're in the Bayside area and looking for trustworthy, caring, and professional dog walkers, I can't recommend them enough. Kuma and I are so grateful for their service--it's been life-changing! If you want peace of mind and top-notch care for your pup, don't hesitate to reach out to them. They've completely exceeded my expectations!

We contacted them 3 months ago, and they confirmed they can provide the services. I have a friendly confirmation via email from the owner's wife. I called to confirm our in-home appt now 2 weeks before we leave. They were supposed to meet the cats at our home and take the house key. The owner is driving to my house the morning of our appointment, he gets lost and ends up in Hillside in Queens somewhere near the LIE. He calls me 5 mins before the appt to advise me he was confused and doesn't service my area. AFTER THREE MONTHS now you check the address and you go back on your promise and confirmation. Nice, What kind of business is this? Now my cats are left with no care thanks to them. Maybe they're getting old and heartless but you don't do that to people. We leave on vacation with the family and friends and now we have no one to care for our cats. I will make sure to let everyone know that is referring your company how horrible you are. The customer is always right. You should have provided the service anyway.

Very likely because I spend 3 hours a day walking my dog! Anyway, we are probably the 2 people in my neighborhood who spend the most time on these streets walking a dog. We became friends quickly. But I am not only a friend but a client as well in the sense that I was so incredibly impressed with how responsible, concerned and involved Ari is with the dogs that are entrusted to him that I asked him to be my primary contact for my American Kennel Club (aka AKC) Back Up Plan. That means that in the event something would happen to me and I could not take care of my beloved dog, Ari would be contacted to step in for him. That speaks volumes about the trust and faith I have in Ari. I am an admitted over the top dog Mom who is crazy about my dog. I simply could never entrust his well being to just anyone. Ari is a very special person. I happen to know not only Ari but many of the dogs and the owners that he works for. Both the dogs and the dog owners are effusive about Ari, and with very good reasons. He genuinely cares about what he is doing and takes it very seriously. He is always thinking about the dogs he takes care of and what is best for them. Between you and me, I think he cares more about the dogs than many of the owners. I have spent serious time with Ari while he is walking individual dogs and have even met him at the dog run for our development so my dog could play with some of the dogs that he takes care of on a regular basis. Ari happens to have a client who has the same type of dog as mine, which is a Shiba Inu, and we have arranged for the two of them to play together in the dog run and knock one another out. I even recorded their play session and Ari sent it to the owners so they could see what a good time their dog had with another Shiba Inu. Ari also has an assistant who works for him (because that is how busy he is) who happens to be someone I know as well. She is also dog crazy and that is how I met her. I cannot recommend Ari highly enough.

My husband and I reached out to Sean after he was recommended to us by another dog owner we knew, and after we had worked with four previous trainers with limited success. We were struggling with two very large, male adolescent Chow Shepherd mix littermates, whom we had adopted from a rescue without knowing any of the cautionary tales about raising littermates together and how difficult the training process can be. Before Sean, we primarily received criticism and judgment from trainers rather than actual training techniques and strategies. Sean was undeterred by the fact that we had littermates, and he provided clear guidance and feedback from day one. Our dogs were immediately responsive, and our sessions with Sean completely transformed our communication and relationship with our boys. His patience and insightful feedback really instilled confidence in us as owners of large breed dogs, and we have since received countless comments about how well-behaved our dogs are (which we always attribute to his expert training). Sean has remained such an incredible resource and support system for us and was even there for us when we very unexpectedly lost one of our dogs to hemangiosarcoma earlier this year. We were beyond devastated, and he was a beacon of light during that dark and painful time. I honestly can't recommend him and Walk Dog Talk Dog enough.
