    Siciliano Pizza

The pizza is unexpectedly incredible. I stopped for a late lunch with friends. The restaurant is trendy, upscale and clean. There is a lovely bar, indoor and (future) patio seating and a huge tiled pizza oven in the corner. Tables were set with cloth napkins. The servers are friendly and helpful. Water came to the table quickly as did the food. Our server checked on us frequently. The menu features pizza. We order two pizzas (which come in one size) to share. First, the crust tasted phenomenal - thin and chewy. It was one of the best crusts I've tasted in a long time. The Ortolano pizza had an earthy flavor with the mushrooms and eggplant. The Siciliano pizza had generous portion of fresh Italian sausage with eggplant and other vegetables. I absolutely loved the Siciliano pizza. Two pizzas were enough food for three people. There is a small dedicated parking lot and limited street parking. I'll definitely return. This is a perfect date night venue.

Only leaving off a star because of parking issues. Also door on sidewalk side locked. Have to walk in dirt to get to main entrance.

Solid four and really 4.5 stars and easily could be 5. Tried going here a couple weeks back and it was packed! So we made a reservation this time. Still packed, but we got in. Had the Diavola pizza and my partner had the Margherita. The crusts were very good, though I wish we had a steak knife to cut the pizza. The style of plates they provide aren't very flat so cutting the pizza can be quite difficult. Eating it straight from the pizza tray could have been an option if the trays were a bit larger. Big plus on these pizzas is the sauce is actually visible, as it should be on Neapolitan style pizza! Too many places douse it in cheese and hide the sauce. And the sauce here is really good! Caesar salad was good and the dressing had a slight anchovy flavor to it. Once the weather warms up and they open up patio seating, I hope to come back to a slightly less packed and more open atmosphere. But the crust is rocking and the pizza is really good. Just could get a slightly better presentation.

This is a weekly staple for work lunch. It's unique. I'd imagine if you are expecting a regular pizza experience you'll be disappointed. Very good flavor and atmosphere. Service was great.

First thing you should know is that this is some the freshest food you will have. Every single thing made it's mark. Homemade pizza dough, tomato sauce, mozzarella and the meatballs were the best I have ever had. We haver never been to Italy, but I am sure we ate food lije we were.My pizza did not have tomato sauce so I ordered a side. So glad I did not miss out on that. Service started our slow but it was a festival day and they were overwhelmed. They made up for it. Super nice staff. Lastly, try the lemon martini, it's something special. We will definitely be back!

Would highly recommend! Reminded me of the pizza I had on my last trip to italy and absolutely felt like home. Fast and friendly service, excellent quality of food and lovely ambiance. Casual but with bistro elegance. Had the Buratta, the Capricciosa pizza and of course the Stragetti for dessert. Have loved Catello's for years and am happy to say I will be returning to In Italy as. regular now as well.

The service was excellent during out visit. All the pizza come in 12 inches cut into 4 large sized pieces. The Friariella was a 7/10 because it just didn't have a lot of flavor. Now the Initaly was a 12/10, great taste, great crust, and the fresh mozzarella was amazing. I will definitely be coming back here!

As I was coming home from Ft Wayne I was detoured through Pendleton…read more I remembered I had an Italian place marked on my bucket list on Yelp- WOW- honestly this was the best Italian meal I have had in Indy! It is worth the drive!!! All pastas are made fresh. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! They have a piano player as well...what a treat! I sat in the back corner and took it all in! The food was outstanding, I ordered Linguine Frutti di Mare- homemade linguine ( delicious) served with clams, mussels, scallops? Shrimp, cherry tomatoes, evoo, garluc, parsley cooked in a white wine sauce!!! As you can see I absolutely hated it... lol! I has an expression and lava cake for dessert. The lava cake was a little overcooked- that is the only complaint.... Other than the lady sitting across the table from me that talked loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear her conversation. I wish people would be more observant and realize they don't have to talk so loud when they're sitting at their table it made it difficult to hear the piano player and it went from a relaxing stress free feeling to an annoyance. I was so happy when her food arrived. This place is very special. It's very small. I got in because it was very early in the evening. I believe their doors open at 5 o'clock. I would highly recommend reservations, but if you have a special occasion that you're celebrating, and it appeared that several people did this is worth the drive!

The experience comes with either rigatoni or Alfredo noodles with Guanciale. The noodles and sauce were good but the pork cheek was not for us. 1/2 of the bites were pure fat. The rest of the meal was outstanding including the calamari/shrimp appetizer, Caesar salad, and the caprese salad. We already talked about going back to try other main courses. They had 3 options for nonalcoholic mocktails/drinks so that would be an improvement they could make especially for the non drinkers that would still like a NA wine pairing with a nice Italian dinner. You can bring your own with a $15 corking fee. The ambience was relaxing and romantic. They had orchestral music of popular songs so it was fun guessing what songs they were. There was a piano in the center of the restaurant and the mood lighting made the place seem even more cozy.

The orange booths inside reminded me of the 1970s, but seemed newer. The walls are decorated with kitschy country decor. The sign outside claimed the best Bar-B-Q in Indiana, so I decided to give their BBQ sandwich a try with fries and coleslaw. The sandwich was large with lots of saucy sweet pork. The was a slight tang to the sauce, which was good. The fries were crispy and hot. The side of coleslaw was small but creamy and tasty. In response to peer pressure and my lack of self control, I finished my meal off with a tangerine soft serve cone. A small cone was $4. The ice cream was perfectly refreshing and delicious (and the best part of the stop). The staff seemed tired and frustrated, and didn't waste time with pleasantries. Maybe they were understaffed as they worked both a walk up window and inside patrons. Tables needed to be wiped clean, but cleaning didn't happen during our visit. Despite the service, the place had great small town, local charm. I'd return to try the Coney Dog, which looked good. There's plenty of parking in their private lot.
