Falls Perk is hands down one of my favorite coffee shops! It's a bit of a drive for me, so I can't make it there as often as I'd like, but anytime I have the chance, I'm making the trip. This visit, I ordered the Banana Bread Iced Latte, and it did not disappoint. I was also so excited to finally get one of their adorable cups--I wasn't sure if they had run out during my first visit, so it was a fun surprise! The service is always a 10/10, and the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting. I love this coffee shop! I've driven 45 minutes out of the way just to go here! They have plenty of seating so you can just sit there and catch up with friends or work. The staff are just the best and even when they have a long line you never wait long for your drinks. My favorite drinks are the pistachio latte (I believe seasonal) and the dirty hippie. Dirty cha lattes are hit or miss but this place NAILS them! Perfection! I usually get a sausage egg and cheese on an English muffin (delicious). Then they have a million different cookie choices. The salted chocolate chip is one you won't regret. Also they lean heavily into the cat decor, which I honestly adore. The park across the street is quite gorgeous too. What a breath of fresh air this place is! I was driving from Noblesville, IN to Columbus, Ohio and I decided to choose the route that was a little more scenic before jumping on the interstate. After a bit I knew I needed some coffee so I opened up my trusted Yelp app and found Falls Perk in an instant. And it was just around the corner from the road I was traveling on, driving through a little town called Pendleton. I found free street parking right out front and when I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by its modern, farmhouse vibe. It had a ton of great natural light too.. It was also packed. Families at tables chatting away, folks working, lounging on the couch... I loved it. It felt like I was in a 2022 version of Gilmore Girls or something. While I was only getting coffee, they did have a small menu of items you could purchase to munch on. The young lady working behind the counter was super sweet when I asked what her favorite latte was out of their seasonal options. She got me with a pumpkin chai but made as a 'dirty hippie" as they like to call it. I couldn't help but chuckle. Making your drink "dirty" just means that you're adding a shot of espresso. I also got mine with soy milk. And I shit you not, this drink smelled and tasted nothing like any hippie I've been around (does myself count?). It was darn right delicious. I would drink one every day if I had the option. Bravo! If I ever find myself in Pendleton again, you bet I'll be stopping by here for a little pick me up. read more

Tried their Valentine's Day German Chocolate Latte and it very well might be the best latte I've ever had. The staff were friendly, and the decor and atmosphere were welcoming and warm. If you've ever traveled much, and you want to feel like you've transported yourself back to Scotland this is your place. I just can't begin to describe how charming this cottage like coffee bar is. They have Wi-Fi in and small work areas. Good lighting and beautiful windows. The staff was so helpful and kind. I can't wait to visit here again. The muffins are the largest muffins I've ever seen in my life, because they were larger than my two fists together I don't even wanna think about the caloric content. Cute little shop, love the little cat clock. The reason for few stars is the customer service. Maybe I'm just used to the friendly faces of another coffee shop but this one did not impress me. Very few times in my life have I regretted leaving a tip when ordering. Today was one of them. When I placed my order, no smiling face, only asked for my order. When I retrieved my order, the girl just yelled out my order. I walked up to gather my items and said thank you. They just kept talking to each other. Did not respond back to me. There a few tables taken in the shop and one couple ordering in front of me so not busy for 9am on a Saturday. Black coffee was hot and tasted ok. Today was a gorgeous day for a hike at Falls Park. BUT, first a coffee! (And a restroom break!) I had a Muddy Irishman and my daughters had a Dirty Hippie and a berry smoothie.All were smooth and delicious -- not too sweet. Falls Perk has a calm relaxed atmosphere. Clean with many windows to allow lots of natural light. There is social distanced seating inside and porch seating outside. Falls Perk is a great place to stop if you are looking for good coffee off the beaten path. The building is paired up with a flower/plant shop. The little house gives a vibe that it's a lot smaller of a coffee shop than it is but that's the case. They do a great job of making the most of their space and have plenty of room for you to work or chill. The style is a modern vintage feel but still maintains the warm vibe. They have accessories and other gifts but the are off to the side and not the focus of the shop. The coffee is good, it's not the best I've ever had but the lattes, cortados, and black coffee are made well. They do care about the quality over the quantity which is awesome. They also have a great staff which is a major plus. They definitely fit the stereotype barista's but they know what they're doing which helps a lot. The coffee is the reason why I didn't give this place a 5/5 star rating. Like I said it's good and they do care about quality but the coffee isn't spectacular. I still liked it and I love that they roast their coffee. As I said though it's nothing to write home about. Definitely better than Starbucks or Dunkin by far so if you are looking for a good cup not far from I-69 definitely make the stop. As I said in the beginning the building looks a lot smaller than it is. It does have quite but if space to work and chill both inside and out. With the flower shop being next door they also have a lot of flowers and plants on the outside which are a great touch. The inside has a lot of tables and chairs to work and there's a couple couches as well. The furniture appears to be more of a setting for work or study than chilling and relaxing, but you could do either. Either way it was a lot more spacious. The staff are great here, very friendly and helpful. They all are unique in their own ways but you can tell they love their job and what they do. They know quite a bit about coffee and are really helpful when it comes to making the right decisions for coffee. Overall Falls Perk is a great stop for coffee and I would definitely recommend it to others. Great staff, great atmosphere, and good coffee. read more

Falls Perk Coffee House is nestled on a quiet street in the heart of downtown Pendleton, IN. It is a repurposed old home complete with flower gardens and a white picket fence. Step in and you are greeted with a bright, clean environment in which to enjoy you coffee, latte, or muffin. In short, a nice place to visit alone or with friends. They have all the usual coffee house selections and a small collection of baked goods. They don't prepare any of the food on site but rather source what the offer from local places. They have t-shirts, mugs, and a collection tchotchkes available for purchase as well as bulk ground and whole coffee that they roast offsite. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I am a creature of habit and when I find something I like, I always order that and it isn't any different at Falls Perk. My go to coffee drink is the Trusty Justy with an extra shot. The Trusy Justy is a nod to the owner which is a latte with caramel and hazelnut flavoring added. The extra shot comes from my desire to get that slightly bitter note from the espresso. I haven't visited Falls Perk in sometime because they did have a set of baristas who took shortcuts with making the drinks which resulted in a disappointing experience. I am pleased to say staff has changed and the drinks are back to the standard I have come to expect from Falls Perk. My Trusy Justy today is frothy, hot, and is perfect! 9:30 am on a Sunday was the perfect time to check out this cute coffee shop off of Main Street. Once it got closer to 10 it seemed like it was standing room only aka the place to be. We sat outside on the patio and it was a great day for it. The barista was patient with our orders because none of us had been before and everyone enjoyed their drinks. A few people got yogurt parfaits, a chocolate chocolate chip muffin and it was warm, and an everything bagel with cream cheese that was soft and tasted like it was homemade. My coffee was the iced Trusty Justy which is a carmel and hazelnut latte and it was tasty! There's street parking in front of the shop and we were lucky to get a spot. This is a charming little coffee shop located a block off the main drag in Pendleton and a stone's throw from the park. Before even entering the shop you can't help but love the charming facade, flower window boxes and big porch with seating and a trellis. Cute as a button! Upon entering you'll notice the lift ceilings, stylish decor and abundance of natural light. I was also impressed that they offer baked goods from Sunrise Bakery, kombucha from Circle Kombucha in Indy and a fun and creative coffee menu. I opted for the seasonal coconut cold brew. Ok my prior review was a 5 * dropped a star because Ive noticed the last 4 or 5 time here the espresso tasted off. It tastes like they are pulling to long of shots trying to get quantity not quality in the cup. Could be a training thing, if so all staff needs retrained. After exploring downtown Pendleton on a cold and rainy Saturday, I was so glad to find Falls Perk Coffee House around the corner from State Street. The term House is accurate as it very much looks like a house with a patio from the outside. Inside, the large seating area has high vaulted ceilings and soft earth tone colors making the place very pleasing on a day like I was there. The dining area was made up of a variety of table sizes and despite the day, had a fairly large crowd in the early afternoon. The south wall was filled with windows to let in day light while the north wall had the order counter towards the rear. I had finished lunch just a short while before, so I passed on trying any of their baked goods and simply ordered a small black drip coffee. After paying, they gave me a cup and pointed out the self serve drip coffee station which had several flavors (I went with the House blend). To my delight, the coffee was not scalding, so I could enjoy it right away. Good flavor too. Note that there is only a single restroom for visitors to share. Where I sat by the hallway that leads there, the room had a steady line of visitors, so you may wish to sit elsewhere if that is distracting or you may have to pay attention if you need to use facilities yourself to time your visit. Overall, the place is warm and inviting and from what I could tell, the fancy coffee drinks weren't taking too long to be called out. I had a good internet connection while enjoying my coffee. This place is really cute...if you can describe food places on Yelp that way! The building is a quaint little shop set in downtown Anderson. It's hard to find and the signage isn't loud. The inside is well decorated and clean. Plenty of relaxing seating. Some comfy chairs available if you don't want to sit at a table. The staff did a nice job at getting our order together quickly and accurately. They were modestly friendly on this occasion. The drinks were pretty much standard. My wife loves the coffee. I had a strawberry banana smoothie which was also very good. We tried the blueberry scone and cinnamon sticky bun. The staff warmed them up. The aesthetic of this place is just Walking up and seeing the fall sign and the front door made me feel like I was in Gilmore Girls! My husband got the Chunky Monkey which is like a blended mocha, espresso, peanut butter thing. This is the type of drink he typically goes for and he really loved it. I got an iced americano and asked for it to be made a certain way. The barista made sure that what she was doing was how I wanted it and then asked once it was done if she'd left enough room. That was really appreciated! Everything is trendy and comfortable. We were there on a Sunday morning and there were various people working and studying at tables. Plenty of room. What a cute find in Pendleton! I was meeting a friend halfway from Munice to Indianapolis, and found this highly reviewed coffee shop as a potential meeting point. Glad we visited! Pros: It is an open and bright coffee shop with quirky decor (IKEA vibes for sure). Everything is also incredibly reasonably priced.
