Started coming to this in and out when it first opened. I use to drive to the draper location from Layton! Which was my commitment to getting my hands on a double double. But now I stop here on my way home afterwork. Sometimes I cut it close and order near closing time. But that doesn't seem to be a problem at this location. The staff is always upbeat and seem very happy to be doing their jobs. One of the staff there made sure I got all the sauces and extras that I wanted before I drove off and told me to have a good rest of the night. Definitely a great job in hiring the workers. Our 4 shakes were only half filled. The cheese fries looked and tasted as tho someone put a slice of cheese on them, put it in the microwave, and then let it sit for an hour. The burgers were mediocre. The staff was stale. The only reason I have two stars is because there was a beautiful view of the mountains. By far the worst In-N-Out I've ever been too. I can feed my family of 6 for $30/visit, where at 5 guys it costs $60+/visit. When having to choose between five guys, Shake shack, or In-N-Out, I normally have to decide how full I want to feel afterwards. In-N-Out is like a sushi full - once consumed you still feel light. In and Out is the only large chain / burger place I really like. I usually go for the double double with grilled onions and a medium drink, which I invariably fill with a mix of their tasty pink lemonade and 7up. And I squeeze a fresh lemon wedge into it too for extra zest. I skip the fries, which I consider to be tasteless, with the texture of styrofoam. But the aforementioned two items hit the spot for me a few times per year. It's not somewhere I go out of my way to get to, but, when I'm in Centerville, it's on my go-to list. read more

The next time I go here, I will stay parked at the window until I get hot fresh fries... so maybe I'll bring a sleeping bag and all my toiletries because I might be there a few days. Have some pride, fix your issues, train your staff better. In-N-Camp-Out always takes at least 10 minutes to get through the drive-through. The milk shakes are great though - similar to Chick Fil A across the street with their drink-through-a-straw goodness but more creamy. The burgers are always great, fresh, and don't sit heavy like most other burger places do. The fries though ... yeah, go next door or across the street to get fries cause these taste like fried styrofoam. And don't try to tell me about how they're all fresh cut and stuff - I know, and it doesn't make them taste any better. Growing up in California In-N-Out was a treat to get on a rare occasion. Now I live in Idaho with none in the whole state, but during my recent travel to SLC I was elated to find quite a few of them. I ordered a cheeseburger & French fries & it didn't disappoint. I don't remember the burger patties being so thin, but all the goodness was there. Nobody makes a "fast food" burger like In-N-Out with all the fixings & the staff was even kind enough to ask if I would like onion or not on my cheeseburger - yes, please! The food at the place is tasty and but can be a bit messy while eating so it is wise to not eat while on the run or while driving a car. The restaurants do have drive thru at each location but tempting as it is I would recommend getting home or being at table for eating for digging into the food. Just be prepared to use plenty of napkins while dining out and eating the burger with the dripping melted cheese and sauces and the delicious and greasy salted french fries. The food is very wonderful to eat but one doesn't leave the place with an out of this world experience that couldn't be repeated at a competing location. The burgers are distinct from fast food chains like McDonalds, Burger King, Carl's Jr., Hardees, etc. to be sure but not necessarily so from other locations. Some of the comparable restaurants to which the In-N-Out burgers could be compared but places at which one will pay more for a burger meal among other menu options are Red Robin, T.G.I. Fridays, Cheddars Restaurant, and Ruby Tuesday just off the top of my head. We had such a nice lunch at In-N-Out! Hubby and I were in town for a medical meeting and had a bit of time beforehand to have lunch. We each had a burger and shared an order of fries. Everything was delicious and hot. The restaurant was very crowded, but there were no dirty tables or overwhelmed employees. Everything was very nicely kept.
