This location rocks! Every In-N-Out will have a looping line around the building. Expect a wait but totally worth it. The burgers and fries are simply scrumptious juicy yummy. Five star customer service, fresh ingredients. All of the employees were courteous and fast. My double double protein style with grilled onions was perfect. For starters I'm not able to eat gluten due to medical issues. So I've seen and heard people that have the same illness as me try this and say that it's delicious you got to try it so I did basically you just get an onion and replace of a bun. And you tell them to make it well done to where it's crunchy which I did. And the first one they gave me I wasn't able to take a picture of but it was kind of tossed together it was like there was a piece of meat a piece of cheese and lightly cooked onions that were still raw sprinkled on the top. So I asked the employee if I can get it how the picture shows and I showed him the picture and he's like okay I'll tell the cook so he takes that one back and then he brings me this one that's in the second picture and third picture. So of course I asked him can you have them cook it a little more because the onions were still raw like they were not crunchy at all and he says that's the best they can do it, and when they normally make this type of burger that's how they serve it. And to make the matters worse I ask for no salt on my fries light well meaning just a little crunchy and of course my fries were full of salt and didn't have any crunch whatsoever. Good morning In-N-Out Burger team, I am writing to leave a positive review of an experience at the Oxnard, CA location on 8/14/23. After picking up my order at the counter, I went to the outside dining area and placed the tray of food down at the table (2 burgers and 2 fries). I left the table for about 20 seconds to get the drinks from a friend inside who was grabbing sauce and chiles. In less than those 20 seconds, 15 seagulls descended in an abrupt fashion and demolished the entire tray of food. The chaos caused a complete mess on and around the table, and my friend and I were shocked and embarrassed at what had just transpired. While internally cursing and thinking about how I'll need to clean it up and purchase a new order, two staff members (Destiny and Lilly) came outside to help us clean and reassure us that our order would get remade. Destiny and Lilly both saw the situation unfold from inside and dropped what they were working on help us. I was taken aback by their kindness and ability to bring humor to our embarrassing and unfortunate situation. If you want a good burger and no selection of any kind then this is place for you. If you want a good burger with tons of options then Jack N The Box, Carl's Jr, Smash Burger, or Hook Burger. An interesting set of circumstances took me to the city of Oxnard two nights in a row. I do not mind long drives, though. It took me a little over an hour to get to the city from the LA area. Of course, with any long adventure, I need some good food in my system. The only place that came to mind in both days was my all time favorite In N out. This particular location was somewhat busy, but not as busy as the locations in Los Angeles. I walked in to a short line, and did not wait long to place my order. The drive thru was not as busy as in other locations, which is not a surprise in this small town in Ventura County. The staff here was as friendly and efficient as other locations. I prefer protein style with light sauce, or just a classic cheeseburger, but grilled onions and pickles are a non negotiable! If you are feeling adventurous, you can always look up items you find on the secret menu and see how experimental you can get. I came through the drive-thru at around noon today (January 1st). I got my usual order that I get at every In-N-Out I go to and told the order taker I would be eating in the car. When I got to the window to pay, the girl at the window said my burger was 'animal style and a fry WELL.' Yes, but I had removed and added a few things other than just animal style and was hoping the other changes were put in, which they were. I then had to ask for a paper mat to eat on because one was not provided to me. Not a huge deal, whatever. Once I received my order, I immediately noticed that my fries were not well done. In fact, they were just barely cooked normally, with some still even being soft. I then went inside and explained there must have been some mix-up, and this was not my fry cooked well. They took my box back to the fryers, and the guy who was cooking them told the worker, "that's a fry well" quietly enough that it was obvious he didn't want me to hear him, but I very much did. They came back and said they would fix it, so I went inside the restroom and washed my hands. By the time I came out, a new fry was put in my box. But it STILL wasn't cooked any more than a normal fry would be. Instead of making a scene and explaining what a fry well is to the guy whose job is to cook the fries, I decided to cut my losses and just leave. I just finished my regular fry as I write. Still a good fry, but not what I ordered. This was my first time visiting this In-N-Out, and I will definitely not be back. The buns on my burger were extra toasty for some reason, but I didn't mind in the end. Regular Fries: I still prefer well done fries, but its a good change of pace. Served fresh from the fryer, salted well, and fluffy in the middle. SERVICE: Busy, busy, busy. It takes a little bit of luck and good timing to score a seat, be it inside or under the shaded tables outside. This is a first for me because I love In-N-Out, but this location needs some serious help. We got here around 5 PM on Saturday after a beach day. Granted that time is a very busy time for any burger place, especially a good one. There was limited parking but we found a spot and walked in but before we got inside we saw that all the tables outside were full and then inside every table was full and there was a line. I had to wash my hands from the beach, the bathrooms were not clean and the trash was overflowing. We finally got to order and here was the order (we had three younger guys plush my wife and I). Two number 1 (double-double), two number 2 (cheeseburger) combos and a grill cheese animal style with animal style fries. Granted the last item may have been slightly different, however after 20 minutes we got our food. People who came in after us got their orders and when they called a larger order (bigger than ours) with a number after ours I was getting ready to call a manager over. We got ours just after I thought about it. It cleared out a little, but when sat down to eat all of the fries were overcooked to the point we only ate half of them. I'm a big fan of the franchise. If you were to come at a given rush hour window, parking is hard to find in the In-N-Out lot, but right in front of the joint is a Home Depot parking lot that can freely be used for anyone. One of the reasons why the lot is packed is because half of it is often not used due to an overextended winding drive-thru line. That might sound bad but I actually like that are able to have the drive thru line wind around the lot instead of having it poke out into the streets of the plaza. The food is of course stellar but they didn't get my light fries correct. When I asked for fries light, I just got some really oily fries that were soggy. I'm not sure what they were thinking but I've gotten light fries before and it's not supposed to be like that. I'll probably order it again in the future and if I experience something different I'll raise the rating on this place. read more
