There are many Subway sandwich stores in our town. I do enjoy a healthy, tasty sub every now and then, which these are. I discovered their extra large delicious cookies a few months ago, I visit a board and care for seniors weekly and the few residents they serve absolutely love these cookies over any other treats I make at home. But the service is the wonderful part! Jot and Maria serve me each week and never fail to wish a happy hello with a smile like a friend would give. Ordered from here a day ago and I haven't eaten subway in a long time so I was excited to see if it's changed. The cookies aren't as good as they used to be. They don't taste fresh and they are very artificial. The sandwich was ok. The bread was soft and the veggies were crunchy and fresh. The meat tasted good but there was barely any in my sandwich. This place was the worst I've ever had. I asked for a turkey, bacon, avocado foot long. She asked if I wanted the sub toasted and I said no so she put the turkey on the sandwich then put raw bacon in the sandwich. I told the young lady to cook the bacon please and I want new turkey. She couldn't understand what I was talking about, so I had to repeat myself 3 times then she finally got what I was talking about. Subway braggs about being fresh. However the corporate brand needs to inspect what the franchises are actually serving. "Subway are you really listening?" I was appalled with what i saw when i visited the store on 9280 Telephone rd. Suite A. Ventura 93004. The owner should have the name Subway pulled from her. The vegetables being served were way passed expired. The lettuce had turned completely orange. The Tomatoes were mush. The bread had to be a few days old. Very stale. I asked the employee making my sandwich for fresh lettuce and she said that was not possible. It had all gone bad. I asked how in the world they can continue to serve produce that has long been expired. She said, "The owner says we have to use all the bad stuff first. Today I ordered online, a wrap with a foot long cookie and a foot long pretzel. When I picked it up, I didn't get the cookie, I got the churro instead, the pretzel was burned and didn't have the sauce like I asked. Bad customer service. The churro costs less than cookie, and they still charged me the full amount. My boyfriend went in to ask for a refund, he brought the receipt and the food to prove the mistake, but the Employee seemed to barely understand him, and told him it was his fault for ordering online that he did not like the food. Horrible customer service, and it's not that we just didn't like it, it's that it was WRONG and I was still charged the wrong amount. read more

If i could give this place 10 stars I would. This subway sets the bar for good fresh food. I came in one night and was helped by Manny. I been to plenty of subways but the love at this particular one just hits the heart different. Manny was awesome. Guided me into food bliss. Today was the final straw for me with Subway. The first subway we went too and waited 20 minutes to find out that they had no ham. They were going to charge full price for no ham. The second subway we went to we ordered 1 foot long with ham and pepperoni and cheese, a bag of chips 3 cookies and a drink. 18 dollars!!!!!!! For a frikkin sandwich meal! No more! To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of subway. I think their prices are too expensive (except for this 5 dollar footlong business) and it's overrated. But this was the first subway in which breakfast was on the menu and I was intrigued :) They had a menu with 4 different breakfast omelette sandwiches, including sausage, ham, and cheese, double bacon and cheese, cheese (with assorted veggies), and something else (i'm blanking, sorry, haha). They also serve 3 different flavors of milk, juice, and danishes. Wilmar D. and I both ordered the double bacon and cheese sandwich, mine with white bread and his with flat. The service was great, the cashier was really friendly and it was pretty quick. The "omelette" was just a premade circle of egg, the cheese was the shredded kind, and the bacon looked deathly white. The entire sandwich also came out very oily. But when I took my first bite, it wasn't so bad. It was actually decent. Of course, WIlmar D. finished before me and let me know that he was sufficiently full and he was over the sandwich. I was midway through mine and had no idea what he was talking about. But once I was on my last 4-5 bites, I got the idea. It's too much for breakfast.... there's just something about it, you just get tired of it really fast and it just tastes really... unhealthy. ROTTEN VEGGIES AND ROTTEN EMPLOYEES! Recently, I went into Subway at 9280 Telephone Rd in Ventura for a Veggie sandwich. All I put on the sandwich are veggies and cheese. The lettuce was at the end of the bin, old and wilted. I asked the female employee to get some fresh lettuce, which she did, but put the old, brown wilted lettuce on my sandwich first. I had to ask her to put the fresh lettuce on. Then, we came to the cucumbers. Again, they were at the end of the bin and she put the last four cucumbers on my sandwich. There were visibly and obviously rotten. I asked her to take them off and asked for fresh vegetables. She told me to, "calm down." She took off one cucumber, but did not replace it with fresh cucumbers. Finally, I had experienced enough and asked to speak with the manager. Marina came to the counter, and did not speak. I asked her why there weren't fresh vegetables. I mentioned that Subway always has fresh vegetables, why don't they? She did not answer, but then said she could make me another sandwich. I wish I had her make me a fresh sandwich, but I had been there too long. The sandwich I had smelled bad, and I was unable to eat it. This Subway needs to have pride in their product and to hire like-minded people. I wasted my money and will never go back. I strongly advise you don't either. There is an illness waiting to happen. I'm a subway fan, always have been and always will be. Jersey Mikes is delicious no doubt, but far too expensive for the common munch. The five dollar foot long is the best thing that has happened in this country since Reagan. Not IMHO, it is proven fact. I love it, even though they change it constantly about what sandwiches are on and off, there's always something cheap and tasty. The service is eh, they make your sandwich. I dont expect singing and dancing but a smile could help! This particular subway USED to be the best subway in the world, filling my italian herb and cheese roll to the brim, but alas, they have become stingy with the produce like the rest. Went here for lunch from work on my way home for a one hour lunch. Not enough staff to accommodate for all the customers with kids allowed to order for themselves. I spent half my lunch hour hoping for another employee to show up. You can't staff only two at the height of lunch hour when children are learning to order. Good sandwich with more veggies ( the extra star) than most stores, but the wait was not worth it. Business people on a fixed lunch time should find another place. read more
