Winter or summer, this is our stop on the way to Tahoe. On Friday nights this place is packed but no matter the crowds the staff here are quick. Always pleasant, and they get our order right 100% of the time. There is a drive-through, indoor and outdoor seating, and very clean bathrooms. In-N-Out is my favorite fast food option, and this location never disappoints. The service soda / condiments area are clean and soda machines always have the right amount of syrup so they taste fresh. The parking lots & outside area are always clean and free from trash. Normally I love In-N-Out, and I've even been to this location a bunch, but I ate here last night (my credit card says Feb 10 at 5:56pm) and my burger was fairly pink and tasted a little off. I'm not usually one to send food back--it was still good--so I ate the rest and went home. Over the last 12 hours I have been suffering the consequences...I haven't had food poisoning in years, and I pride myself on having an iron stomach, but this burger really did me wrong. In-n-Out, a treat for us East Coasters that fell in love with random West Coast institutions while briefly living here. This location is key for those either on their way to or on their way back from the South Lake Tahoe area. This location is just off the highway for easy on / easy off, no schlepping 5 miles down some random road looking for food. This location is great, IMO. Some In-n-Outs can be a little grubby with slightly poor service, but the people at the counter here greeted every guest with a smile and were very efficient in quickly moving through the line of people. Even though they were busy, they did not start freaking out and start messing things up. The finished product was excellent In-n-Out magnificence: double-double and fries, eaten outdoors in the glorious California sun. Fantastic. read more

Since In-N-Out Burger is not located in Central Florida my husband and I decided to give them a try while on vacation. We were both pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the lettuce, tomato and onion toppings. I'm not sure why we do not experience the same degree of freshness at our burger restaurants but we enjoyed the difference. A great amount of attention is obviously being paid to the quality of their produce. The meat patty was tiny but created a taste sensation when combined with the larger amount of lettuce, tomato and onion. It was delicious and almost addictive. We stopped by twice more. Each time getting the single and loving it. Simple, fresh, and tasty. Tastes like separation from Great Britain. Cons: + if you're eating burgers, you don't give an F about your weight or fitness, and you'd probably find Culver's much better than these. I don't know if it is something in the air, water, or that they just add crack into their food, but this is the best tasting In-N-Out I've ever been to! During a return trip from Tahoe once, we stopped by this location to grab some lunch before continuing home to the Bay. Unlike literally every In-N-Out location I've been to where the burgers look like a melted mess, the burgers at this place came out picture perfect. Literally like one would see in a commercial. The bun was perfectly toasted and shaped nice and round, the lettuce was not overflowing and spilling everywhere, and the cheese melted at the perfect position on the patty. Even the fries which usually come out as a soggy mess, was fried to a nice golden crisp. Even the taste thankfully matched the asthetics. The burgers tasted MUCH better than standard In-N-Out burgers, and the regular fries tasted like they were of the well done variety, sans all the extra grease and burntness. Whatever this particular location is doing, I really wish it could be replicated at the In-N-Out locations down here in the Bay Area. Because I certainly wouldn't mind having In-N-Out a lot more often if it was! read more

Shocked this place only has 4 stars... Stopped in with my daughter today on our way back to Tahoe. It was clean, we were able to order quickly and got our food fast as well. Everything was tasty as usual. My review isn't for the food though...the guy working (I think his name is Tyler?) aside from being adorable and sweet, was all over that place checking on guests, cleaning, etc. He came by our table and picked up our tray and overheard my daughter and I talking about stickers and asked if we needed some more and was gracious enough to grab us another sheet. I struggle with throwing out a tip or a review. I'm going with a review because it seems to be a recurring issue with this location. First things first. I am a complete fan of I&O and have been for decades. This is a prime stop for the weekend crowd going up to or coming back from the Tahoe area. I get that it's bound to be crazy busy. What I don't get is what seems to be the recurring lack of staffing, in number or experience, to accommodate this mass of humanity converging here for some roadside nourishment on the drive to or from. This stop was around 2:30 on Sunday so I would suspect some sort of recovery from the peak lunch crowds. As always this franchise, and location, delivers quality food at a slightly slow pace for fast food but well above and beyond fast given all is prepared fresh to order. I don't mind the waiting a bit for a tasty fresh burger. The staff was engaging and friendly as always, On this particular trip it wasn't the best product, but still very acceptable. What killed an otherwise positive visit, this time as well as quite a few previous, was the total disarray of the inside and outside. There we no chili peppers (a fairly standard condiment), no lemons at the soda fountains. Napkins were nearly empty, the tables were so filthy I had to get a stack of napkins soak them and scrub the table. There was food all over the floor. The restroom was a compete mess. Several trash cans were overflowing. The staff on the floor seemed disoriented and so overwhelmed. If the burgers weren't sounding so damn good option after a drive over the summit I would likely hold off to the next I&O down the road. This stop is 100% when the crowds are light but it's time to realize you are going to get slammed and need to plan accordingly for that returning crowd on Sundays and the end of holiday weekends (also the Friday flow). I know I probably sound like a whiner but the I&O model is a simple one that can handle this sort of onslaught with the right staff being keept on task. I'll be back and hope to update this with a better experience soon. read more

I will never eat here again. They do not require masks to be worn by people ordering food or waiting for their food INSIDE the restaurant. Asymptomatic carriers kill, In-N-Out! I have at-risk family members. Even some of their team members making and preparing food had their masks pulled down to their chin exposing their nose. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager who came was one of the people with their masks pulled down! I cancelled my order and promptly took my at-risk family away. I don't care what side of the political spectrum you may be, if you are operating a restaurant then you are now involved in public health during a pandemic. You are putting the public at risk if you don't not require universal mask wearing. read more
