Adj: Efficient and Excellent We were in the area and decided to meet a friend for dinner at this In-N-Out Burger in San Ramon. We'd never been here before, but we knew that In-N-Out is usually consistent in quality and service, and this was very true in San Ramon too! Sunday evening is apparently a super busy time for this location (and many others). As we drove up I was a bit worried b/c the drive thru line went on and on about 2+ blocks past the parking lot! In fact, we saw the line stretching out before we could even see the store. Thankfully, we were dining in, and it actually didn't take that long, I was surprised people insisted on going through the drive thru as my experience is that it's much faster to just order in the store and take out if you were not wanting to dine in. In any case, I went to order for our group while some of us went to meet our friend and quickly found a table with enough seats for all of us. A nice family shared 1 seat w/us. It took about 15-20 for our order, so it wasn't too long at all while we chatted and waited, the time flew by as we enjoyed our conversation. While waiting, we also saw staff cleaning/picking up and wiping up tables, and sweeping while we ate and they were friendly and quick when we picked up our order too. Our burgers were fresh, hot, tasty, and done well, so everyone was happy and the fries were also hot out of the fryers, and our drinks cold and refreshing on that hot summer day. There's not much at In-N-Out's in terms of ambiance, haha, esp when it was bustling, but it wasn't too loud even though it was packed, so we could enjoy each other's company. Overall, we were happy with our dining experience at this In-N-Out Burger location, and we plan to be back and enjoy more delicious and fresh burgers and fries with our customized orders (animal style and/or just grilled onions)! read more

In-N-Out in San Ramon. We came after a long and fun day in Santa Cruz. We had snacks for the road so we weren't super hungry when we got here and good thing, bc the drive thru line was 2 blocks long beyond the parking lot! Apparently, it's often this busy here. Thankfully we were dining in because we were meeting a friend who lives in the area here for dinner. We quickly found a table bc it was quite packed inside too. The wife ordered and then we waited and got our food about 20m later, really not that long at all considering what the line looked like outside, I'd totally come in and take out it'd definitely be faster. The burgers and fries were fresh and delicious as usual. Nothing special but every bit predictable which is how it should be. Fries were very fresh and hot, and the burgers were perfectly done down to the buns. All good. All in all, this store was clean, staff were friendly and hardworking, service was good, and the food was good. We'll be back, but maybe not on a Sunday evening. read more

Our favorite & go to in n out location! It's conveniently right off the freeway & don't be fooled by any long line because this is the most efficient in n out we've ever been to! The food is always consistent & we've never had an issue after a couple years of coming to this location! If you've never tried it, order your fries "light-well" for the perfect crispy fry! Just a mini forewarning, this location does get pretty busy! The parking lot isn't as big in comparison to other in n outs but that honestly hasn't been much of an issue for us :) read more

While visiting a friend in California, I had to stop by In-N-Out Burger to see what all the hype was about. It was my first time trying it, and honestly, I get the obsession now. The staff were incredibly friendly, and our order was taken almost immediately even though there were a few people ahead of us. I went with a classic cheeseburger, and thanks to my boyfriend's tip we also ordered the famous Animal Style fries. They're not on the regular menu, but definitely worth knowing about: fries topped with grilled onions, cheese, and In-N-Out's signature sauce. The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh and yummy. The location itself was also very clean, including the bathrooms, which I always appreciate. Like every In N Out, it has the exact same items but also good service just like every location. They offer burgers, fries, and shakes with nothing else to really add. The interior is just like every other location so there isn't much to say about that as it's got the same layout too. The food was always overall fine but I was never the biggest fan of In N Out because my family and I always had the same problem with their fries. They're always either undercooked or not fried enough so they're not as crispy as we'd like. As for burgers they're always pretty much passable but nothing special. The only criticism and it's like this at every In N Out is how long the drive thru could be. There will always be a super long line no matter what time you go and it could take a while to get your food if you're to do the drive thru. In the end, its a solid location like every other one. It was amazing. We drove past In-N-Out Burger and there was hardly any line only like 10 cars we couldn't believe it! It was sort of a rainy day so they offer kids hot chocolate and luckily my son who is 36 got to have a free hot chocolate because I did bring my kid ha ha the guy was really nice about that actually we ended up getting the grilled cheese with grilled onions and fries. I've been coming to this In N Out for 15+ years. I mean, just since it opened and I was a kid with my parents. Always good, always consistent. There's a reason it has a line compared to McDonalds or Burger King garbage. Except, I just got MD or BK level garbage from here. What's going on? Can't do a well done fry. Can't do an onion wrap. Just slap the slop into the carton and then into the bag and it is what it is. Looks like this place will become one of the things people over 25 remember fondly. read more

This review is about my experience using the drive thru. Now my goodness this was the longest line I have ever seen for an In-N-Out. I was kind of intimidated. But thankfully, the others in line followed direction and there weren't any unruly drivers around. There were two attendants for us cars. One was super nice to me. I felt so bad for him though. He said he was handling well and he's sure his shift will go by faster because of it. I like that line of thinking. I would say it took another ten minutes for me to reach the second window. When I got there, my drink was ready but my food was not. So they had me pull over to the side and wait. Thankfully the wait wasn't long. I got my order in five minutes. Order: cheeseburger, animal style, extra grilled onions, extra pickles, ketchup already in the burger, and no tomatoes. A side of fries and a coke for a drink. This fast food burger juggernaut based in Baldwin Park in Southern California doesn't need to advertise, they don't need to have coupons , they don't even do DoorDash or other delivery apps. Why fix what's not broken ? They are doing fine without all that . They keep prices low over time and their have a super loyal customer base and cult following. They keep it simple and they pay their employees whom are mostly young adults very good livable wages and eve offer college tuition assistance . Each site employs plenty of workers to make sure your order is correct and tasty every time . One important way they keep their prices low is that they produce their own burger patties not too far away from their restaurants so the logistics are not that expensive. We've been to many In-N-Outs in both Southern and Northern California and I was blown away by the staff at the San Ramon location. First, Joey at the register asked my chatty dad "how his day was going?" And I thought to myself "are we at Trader Joe's?" So friendly here and then Katie came to clean our table and she carried our shakes for us, all with a beautiful smile. Drive thru is insane but it's quick. We ordered inside. Lines were quick. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of parking. People are often in and out dog here's always parking. Not much a a wait even though it looks busy inside always. We maybe waiting 10 mins maybe less. It's our first visit at an in n out since they announced their elimination of artificial dyes. So you'll see a slight difference in their ketchup. Pink lemonade. Strawberry shake to name a few items. I never thought I'd be disappointed by in n out but this place has done me wrong twice. On a previous visit we ordered animal fries and there was a hair in my fries. My husband took the fries over to the counter and the worker had a clueless look on his face not knowing what to do. How about let's replace the fries with a hair inside? Then on another visit we ordered through the drive thru on a surprisingly slow night. There was only two cars in the drive thru including ours on a late Wednesday night. I ordered my usual and my meat was raw. RAW very vividly pink raw. I took two bites and immediately felt sick to my stomach. I had to drive back and get a new one. Known for it's massive drive through line this location of In-N-Out Burger was always a favorite of my family's whenever we were in town. After seeing the nearby San Ramon Christmas Tree Lane lights the honey and I stopped in for a quick burger and fries. Lucking out and nabbing a parking spot, we walked in to order and sat at one of the open tables while we waited for our number to be called. My coworkers and I were trying to figure out where to get some food after an event and this was something we could all agree on. Shakes are good but have over 50 grams of sugar, so I try to stay away whenever possible. Food comes out pretty quick, runs like a seriously well oiled machine. Not a bouje burger but generally hits the spot. I recommend the fries no salt, and then squeeze the juice off the chilis for extra acidic spice. Overall recommend. Sadly disappointed in this location. I usually go to the San Leandro location but stopped by this location on the way home. Unfortunately that was a big mistake! I was in the drive thru line on a Friday around 2:00PM and service was so slow. It took me 35 minutes to get my food. Honestly I don't really care about how long it took because I could tell that they were training a new person and I completely understand. BUT, the new trainee wasn't even the issue! He did great under lots of pressure. The guy helping him completely forgot my animal fries and was rushing the trainee and shooing me to leave when he was holding my animal fries the entire time. I got all my food and went home to eat it, only to be surprised by literally a whole grilled onion in my burger. The grilled onions were burned and it looked like they just shoved all the burnt ones in my burger to get rid of them. My boyfriends burger didn't have as much burnt onions but they obviously don't taste good burnt! Made the bun heavy and soggy ultimately making the entire burger taste bad. I smeared some onions off to try and finish my burger but couldn't. Highly disappointed given that other In-N-Outs are consistent in their food and service. Every worker seemed overwhelmed and stressed which I completely understand, but didn't feel good being on the receiving end of it when I tried being understanding and said thank you and have a nice day but got silence. Have to give five stars!!! Five stars not just for in-n-out beating other burger joints, but also for this San Ramon location vs. the fisherman's wharf location in San Francisco. When I lived in the city, the closest in-n-out location is in Fisherman's wharf so I had no other option, I later learned that that location is more expensive than any other location. On veteran day the manager Joseph claimed that veterans don't receive a complimentary meal. Me and two other fellow marines were disrespected and denied any type of service. This In-N-Out was closest to the dealership we selected so we stopped in for a quick early dinner. Maybe I haven't had In-N-Out in a while but my burger was so delicious. The bun was so so crispy on the edges and the produce tasted more fresh than what I could remember. Of course, I added spread to my burger and some peppers -- so delicious!
