I honestly really enjoyed this place with my family. We stayed local for spring break and I was looking for activities for my kids and they are obsessed with tigers; so I googled and stumbled upon this place. I honestly did not have any high expectations because everyone told me to go to Sharkarosa last year and that place was a little disappointing. Also people told me this place was a flop too; but they seemed to have decent reviews and tigers and that's all my kiddos cared about. Pulling in I was still having no expectations; we checked in; we had "donated" online prior to arriving so we were given a map and some simple instructions and on we were on our way. They have a ton of cats! Yes I have a love hate relationship for places like this and zoos because I feel sympathy for the animal being in a cage; however I due understand most are rescued and are alive because of places like this. But this place by far is one of the better places; it's clean; workers are constantly cleaning the habitats; the animals overall were active and not in "comatose" "depressed" state as I've seen before at other places. For the most part a lot of the habitats were very large with lots in them; so that was refreshing. I saw a ton of cats I've never seen. I think tigers are beautiful; however I was really in awe of the Lion, Lambert and then the Servals! They were just amazing. They had tigers, ligers, lions, servals, bobcats, cougars, etc. my kids really enjoyed it as well as my husband and I. The memorial wall was touching; and the gift shop is decent. I did find out they offer a feeding tour in the evenings and that's something we may check out in the future. All in all it was a great experience for us. read more

I wasn't expecting to see so many big cats, since usually they're not that visible or active at zoos. I thought most of them would be sleeping inside their (air conditioned and heated) houses in the middle of the day. Not so. We saw lions, tigers, ligers, several bobcats, a several, and a leopard, all up close. Many of the cats have been rescued from people who raised them as cubs, and intended to keep them as pets, so many of the cats are not fearful of humans. The facilities are nothing fancy, but the cats are clearly well taken care of and have plenty of enrichment. There are about 70 cats on the property, and you can probably see them all within an hour or so. It's not a huge place. The paths between the enclosures are dirt / gravel and sometimes uneven. We ended up getting pretty muddy since we came after it rained. It was a little tricky for my dad, who is 85 with mobility issues, but was still manageable. read more

If you're in North Texas, @Insync_Exotics is a fun visit for you and your family. These cats are saved, and your fee pays for their feeding. It costs $30K per month to feed them all. The staff was friendly and eager to answer our questions. Wear some good shoes due to the gravel walkways and it's interesting and humbling to see where we compare to other creatures. We had a 1 hour tour and our guide knew each animal's history and the history of the rescue. There are lemurs, lions, tigers... Most were away and moving around. The facility is well built for safety, there's a plan for moving the animals to facilitate cleaning the cages. They seem well cared for and happy. There were a few places to sit and rest. read more

What a wonderful place. These majestic exotics have been given a pristine place to live out their lives. We are given a beautiful experiment being able to watch them up close. Yes, it's the end of July, and yes, it was 100+ degrees, and yes, it was worth the trip. We were fortunate enough to be there during feeding time for many, so some were moving, waiting for their deliveries. The enclosures are beautiful. We were lucky enough to see a white tiger playing in the pool, but I didn't get a picture of that. Highly recommend. read more

I was looking for a lake park on Lavon and while looking at the map on the south side in Wylie, I noticed In-Sync Exotics. I love big cats and added it to my travel plans. It was hot the day of my visit so most of the smaller species were inside their shelters, lions and tigers evolved in the heat so they were out, if not very active. Almost all were napping and that was fine for me as several were zonked out on platforms close to the double fence separating us (about 7 feet for a few of them). I quietly and respectfully got as close to the outer fence as I could for a photo. I was quite magical. There are about 30 occupied cages and a memorial wall for the rescued that passed on can be found on the south side. Staff are friendly and helpful. A few visitors were trying to agitate or get the attention of the cats. Don't be like them. If you go during the summer and want to bring an umbrella as a parasol, please know that they tend to agitate the big cats and staff will ask that you not use them. Admission is a requested donation of $15 for adults, $10 for children and seniors. Well worth it, as donations go the feeding and care of these magnificent beings. read more

I've visited this establishment three times in the last 4 years and I love it each time. The animals are all rescued from some pretty nasty places. Most of them have their stories posted outside the fence with their names, birthdates, and rescue dates. They all have access to large, grassy play yards and live watching the tigers play in their giant pools. Recently went and visited the newest rescued tiger cub, Minnie, and she was all about chasing the water spraying from the volunteers water hose and stalking and "attacking" guests that were walking by outside of the enclosures obviously. read more

I had sooo much fun at this place. I can't justify taking any stars away because when you consider they're a rescue and rehabilitation organization they do really well with what they have. They warned about cats being hissy and not bothering them but we only experienced one cat in a bad mood. The rest seemed very content and were just relaxing in their pens. Three of them were laying splayed out on their backs which we found hilarious. One HUGE lion was sleeping on top of his little house and was dreaming which was also hilarious. I really wish this place were about 10-20 minutes closer to me and I would come volunteer after work. You just can't beat getting this close to big (and I mean BIG) cats while supporting a good cause. You're only about an arms length away from them with 2 fences in between for protection. There are quite a few tigers, but also various other big cats. I have never seen lions this big at a zoo. Overall worth the trip. Happy to support them. Just note that when you come, these are wild animals. Many will be hiding and you won't be able to see them and a few might be grouchy. Be respectful of that and you'll have a good time. read more

This place is AMAZING! I have been there twice in the last month. They have everything from lions, tigers, cougars, leopards, coutamounda (Think I spelled that right), bobcats and even a little black short hair kitty roaming around. It costs $10 for adults and $7 for kids. They are only open for self guided tours on Saturday and Sunday from 11-6. They have a newly added guest services building with "bathrooms", snacks, souveniers, etc. The grounds are kept extremely clean and the volunteers are super nice! The first time, I went early in the morning and the animals were roaming around making for great photos. I was blown away at their size!!! Some of the animals like the bobcats were hiding but hey, it was 100 degrees! The second time, I went in the late in the afternoon. I guess the animals were having their nap time. We roamed for about 2 hours and got to see the bobcats that we missed last time. One even ran up to us and started trying to charge my boyfriend. HOW COOL! This place is a great spot to take kids or have a date. If you love kitties of all sizes then you have to check it out. Such a good thing the owner has started. These cats are given to her because they can no longer be cared for or someone took on more than they could handle. I was enough to meet the owner and you can tell how much she's adores the cats. On top of all the exotic cats she also has 16 domestic cats. She's truly a cat lady with a big heart. A donation is all it takes to see all the cats, however not required, but taking care/feeding, health etc is expensive. This cat sanctuary is non-profit and really are doing a good thing. We contacted this place for volunteer opportunities, when we were down and out, and looking to give back, and thought our previous tiger experience, as former zookeepers we would be fairly treated, well we were wrong. Per their volunteer requirements you need to visit the park and pay admission. Okay, we did even though it was like the last bit of money we had at that time. We needed to see and chuff with tigers, so we forked over the 25 bucks or whatever it was at the time. We told the admission lady who we were and that we were former zookeepers at g.w zoo, and her body language, attitude and face changed. She was succeeding at making us regret coming there, we told her we were here as the first part of the volunteer process, and she started saying well there will be no cub petting here. No duh lady Instead of treating us as guests which I had to remind her we were paying guests and that I was beginning to worry if we would be treated fairly. We walked around the park in disbelief, so emotionally we did not get to enjoy anything about this place. The lady that takes the money is rude after you hand the money over. So I asked for our money back over email because we were lured there with the opportunity of getting to give back to tiger, and they wouldnt so yeah im pissed we were judged, based on the politics of an employer. When I have to tell someone that I am an animal care worker and that I will work with animals especially if they are in a bad situation then I don't feel like I'm dealing with actual animal lovers, if they don't get it. A true animal caretaker will care for animals in need regardless of the situation and sadly this place can't get over politics enough to see what we are about. read more

I volunteered here once last summer for a "Birthday Cat Bash." I arrived early in the morning and it was super dark out because it was expected to rain. I was asked to help with decorating and face painting. I didn't do my research and only knew the place was called "In-Sync." I was taken to this area with a bunch of cages that seemed empty so I started to decorate them with streamers and balloons thinking this was a birthday party for a bunch of cats. A flash of lightening hit and there was this ginormous lion I saw yawning in the corner of the cage, I almost shat myself. He was litterally a few feet away from me. In-Sync Exotics take in tigers, cougars, bobcats and all sorts of exotic cats who have been abandoned and mistreated by private owners. Vicky, the founder of this place is really nice and you can tell she has a love for these animals. All of the volunteers share that passion with her and play/talk with the animals as if they are their own babies. The group gives public tours and educates on the background stories of these animals who are alone entertaining. There's also "night tours" now on Sundays evenings where they pass out pre-dinner bones during the tour. The entrance fee is a little high ($10 for adults/$7 for kids and seniors) but it goes towards a good cause. Almost all of the money the organization makes goes towards the animals. I had a good time at this event and my family came out to support the event as well. There was music, food, one of those bounce house things, arts and crafts, games for the kiddos and face painting (provided by yours truly). Definitely go when there's an event going on, you'll get your money's worth. I'm only giving 3 stars because I feel the facility could be maintained in a way where it's more inviting to the public, had public restrooms and it's located in a random part of Wylie. I was a volunteer here for 2 1/2 years before I sadly moved away from Dallas. Insync Exotics was an eye opener to so many more things than I can list. I can honestly say that spending so much time at this sanctuary changed my life in more ways than one. I always had a passion for animals, but nothing compares to the things you see these cats go through. From abuse to malnourishment to untreatable medical conditions, your heart goes out to each cat in a unique way. After getting involved in one animal sanctuary, you start noticing things about other animals you may have not noticed before, the treatment they receive from people around the world. The layout of the place is kinda crazy but Im thinking it was more because they added additional cages when they took in more cats and as funding become more available. So that was the best $20 bucks I've ever spent. For real. $20 bucks got my child and me into the park. I'm thankful I knew this was a rehabilitation park, because I get so damn sad to see the big kitties in the cage. I was less sad here...but still slightly sad. Anyway, this place is sooooooooo far. I had to drive North of Wylie. This is coming from the girl who stays in a 4 mile square in Plano. The parking in wonky, but you can figure it out. You go into the gift shop to buy your ticket and then you're off. They let you meander around by yourself which is awesome. My son and I saw all the cats in 20 minutes and left. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, we just aren't into fawning. We looked, we acknowledged and moved on. You could easily spend a couple hours if that's your thing. This was definitely better to see cats than the zoo. They are really close to you! read more

I volunteered at Insync for 2 years and would like to respond to Arizas comment on why he gave it 3 stars. The reason Insync is not prettier for the public is that 100% of funds are spent on the cats. For food, medicine, playgrounds, upgrading enclosures and the cost of actually rescuing a cat can be expensive. In 2010 Insync rescued 6 tigers from a breeding facility in Leona, Tx. and in 2011 Insync rescued 20 cats (Lions, cougars and 1 Tiger) from terrible living conditions from a "Sancutary" in Poetry, Tx. They found homes for all of the cats they could not house them selves. Insync will take in the older cats and sick cats that other sanctuaries reject. So, I would rather have my money go to taking care of the cats than pretting up the place. read more

This is not like a zoo, where you may get a glimpse of one or two big cats from behind some tree or rock. This is you + a fence+ five or six feet + another fence+ the most beautiful big cats ever. It is quite an experience. It is easy to see that the cats are loved and this is truly a sanctuary for them. The volunteers are passionate. We had a birthday party there in September and all the families had a truly wonderful time on the tours. I will say that the volunteers expected good behavior, and I definitely understand that it's for everyone's safety. They had no problem telling a kid here or there back up, be quiet, or pick up after themselves. I would definitely recommend In Sync for family visits or parties. In the realm of animal lovers, the staff that runs In-Sync are saints. These people are doing an awesome work of love for dozens of big cats that they've rescued from terrible living conditions. I'm always blown away by the amount of dedication and care shown to these kitties by Vicky (the owner) and her incredible volunteers. I've visited 5-7 times and they are in a constant state of growth to accommodate more animals in need. Yes, the location is tough to find, the grounds are not the most beautiful, and the odors are pretty strong, but that's just the nature of a non-profit organization that truly reinvests everything back into the cats they love. In-Sync is a little rough around the edges, but you have to hand it to them: they're doing a fantastic job. This place is an unforgettable must-visit for animal lovers of all ages. Place is okay and not too expensive, but they're not very organized. Once you park(free) you arrive at the gate, where they send you to an office to buy tickets. A woman at the door tries to chase you inside, to give you instructions. Inside they swipe your card, but no receipt or anything to confirm the amount you paid. After requesting, you get a map that is not very detailed and sent to the cage area. There, there's no rime or reason how you navigate the grounds. Most cages are big but dark and it's hard to spot animals. Oddly there was two big goats and a horse, untied in a corner that didn't move one inch. They looked old but strangely frozen in place. It's an okay experience 30 minutes from Plano. But not very educational read more

A great place! Bless the owner for creating and opening this sanctuary and bless all of the workers/volunteers who genuinely care for these animals. This is a non-profit sanctuary to mostly wild cats but they do have a few other animals. You'll get an up close look at the animals and staff is really helpful/informative. While it is sad that they are in enclosures, this is the best place they can be. There is a need for animal sanctuaries because of humans and selfish greed. Because of needless breeding, because of zoos, because of circuses and animal entertainment acts, because of canned hunting, because of human irresponsibility, because of "educational purposes", because of profit. If these things didn't happen, then we wouldn't have animals living their lives in enclosures in captivity. It is our fault. They cannot be released into the wild since they were born into captivity. The animals are rotated into different areas on a daily basis to prevent boredom/depression and get a change of scenery. The tigers get to play daily in a central courtyard area separate from their living space. They have a memorial wall dedicated to their former animals. Some of the animals they rescue are from abuse/neglect cases, seniors, unwanted "pets", from breeding facility, abused circus animals etc. They will get to spend the rest of their lives being well-cared for and in peace from their previous life. This place is AWESOME! If you like big cats it's a must see! Be careful with kids though. The cats are wild (of course behind two layers of fence though) but, sometimes they do get irritated and can make loud noises or aggressively paw at the fence. It would definitely scare small children. read more

I liked the idea of it more than the reality. There are a lot of cats (tiger, lion, cougar, lynx and others) which is why I can't give it one star. I spent the majority of my visit feeling horrible for the sad animals in tiny enclosures. They didn't seem to have much green space or anything in their environment besides mud, concrete and wire. They didn't even seem happy to eat when some of the staff were feeding them. Honestly the animals at the zoo seem much better cared for from a visitors perspective. read more

Got to say i bet this place is barely open due to regulations. First off, I witnessed horses roaming the grounds freely when they are suppose to be stabled unless the horse is a "free equestrian". There are feral animals roaming the land, which actual attacked a small child while I was here. When the family spoke to the owner about the attack, the owner, a woman, became very hostile, rude, and denied it ever happen. On top of, she called the witness a lying B****. To me, that was very un-classy and poorly and immaturely handled. It stunk like manure and animal feces overwhelmingly. The staff was rude and condescending. And after leaving this place, I did some review and apparently there is an on-going investigation of the park dumping animal feces into the Collin County Creek. Lets petition this place and free the wildlife from these horrendous people. read more

Very cool rescue! Rugged and outdoors, nothing too fancy like a zoo but just a facility where they house exotic felines who had a rough past. Very cool to have something in Wylie!
