On restaurant row Ballard Street in Wylie, TX Coffee At The HUB
    Amigo K.

"Coffee At The HUB" coffee shop, inside a remodeled former home awaits your visit! On the far eastern side of the Dallas, TX metro area, the little town of Wylie established in 1800's is zooming along in a building boom. And a renovation boom! Wylie's historic downtown Ballard Avenue, which is a restaurant row, with boutiques, antiques, and take-a-peek spots, now has "Coffee At The HUB" at 304 N Ballard Ave, Wylie, TX 75098 (next to Frankie's Casa Mexican Restaurant) No drivethru, come on inside, like visiting your Grannie, you have comfy seating of many styles. Good for groups, good for couples, even singles. Outdoor patio small tables with sun umbrellas also. Staff at The HUB offer kind counter service, all types of coffee drinks, and also cool refreshers. I tried a baked gingerbread pastry with a zesty-zingy butter cream icing that was rather tasty! Paired with my usual plain hot dark roast, I was happy Free wifi here, and enough power ports to plug-in a rock band! Very nice restrooms, full ADA access. Free street parking in front, or take the driveway around back to park on cement, use the back patio door to enter. The HUB supports a faith-based charity organization, all people of all backgrounds are welcome here. Those who are interested can inquire with staff. This is a calm, quiet atmosphere, with seating spread out, and good acoustics. You can hardly hear other conversations. A lot of mobile business people stop here, pull out laptops, consult with clients. Friends, retirees, housewives after dropping kids off at schools, etc. Ballard Avenue might be worth a stroll with a cup of coffee in hand?

Cute space to enjoy our goodies!

Coffee with a Mission! Our family loves to shop local and small when choosing where we spend our money, but Coffee at the Hub is even bigger than that. The Baristas that work here are local Missionaries who volunteer at this coffee shop & the proceeds go to support Local & Global Missions. We love the atmosphere here and the beautiful space that they offer. They have a great space for working and for visiting with others.

Great little coffee shop with very friendly baristas. I love the Christian vibe; subtle and not readily obvious but nicely in the background. Very clean and spacious. Parking in the back. Coffee is very nice. Baked goods are just so-so.

This place is super cute! Ordered a London Fog, which was relaxing to drink. Not too sweet. Hubs got black tea with orange. Relaxing vibe - much needed on a busy weekend.

Ordered a medium iced sunshine latte (cinnamon, vanilla, and brown sugar). The flavor was delicious and the balance was perfect. Espresso was smooth and light. The was a bit watered down for my liking, but I would definitely return for a hot one! Staff was kind and welcoming. Atmosphere was casual, clean, and social. Great place to meet for coffee! Would definitely return.

Stopped in on my way home, first time and very easy to miss. Luckily my husband caught it out of the corner of his eye. The ambiance was very peaceful, just a few people working on their laptops. The barista was friendly and confirmed my choices before starting to make my drink. What I enjoyed most was their soft worship music playing in the background

What a great place for the community!…read more I have driven past this place several times but never really stopped in and checked it out, or honestly, gave it much thought. I am not being negative, it just did not register with me. That all changed today when my granddaughter's dance company held a recital at Acacia Collective. My first observation was that there was ample parking, which was nice. In addition to the parking lot in front, there was also an even larger lot in the back. Walking in, I was impressed again. The architecture and its use of woods helped make the place very inviting and relaxing. The people inside were as welcoming as the facility itself. There is a lot going on here... The Acacia Collective houses an auditorium, a coffee shop, a childcare/mother's day out facility, an l shared work space, and more. At the tables there were puzzles being built, people drinking coffee, people enjoying the wonderful baked goods from the coffee shop, and others enjoying the Wi-Fi on their laptops and more. I personally had an Asiago bagel with cream cheese, and also a cinnamon role muffin. Both were delicious! I would be remiss if I finished this review without mentioning the staff at the coffee shop. They were super polite and a joy to interact with. Great customer service! They also worked hard handling the influx of people. Acacia Collective also proved to be a great place to hold a dance recital!

My spouse got the leige waffles and very much enjoyed it. The service was friendly and helpful as well as pretty quick. I was happy to see that since they were a little busy. In my quest to check out new coffee shops, I thought I'd pop by and check out Armor Coffee…read more I liked it, although it doesn't look or feel like a coffee shop - it really is more like a fast-casual full service restaurant. You order at the front counter - there was a very long line during my visit. I think things were held up by the fact that there was a paper menu, and also a digital display board menu (sight lines were poor though) and the menus didn't match! Employees didn't seem sure which menu was "accurate" which slowed down ordering for everyone. Once I'd ordered and selected a table, service was great. They bring your order to the table with the matching number. Bathrooms were clean. They had a separate room for groups to meet. Overall, it's a cool space. Again, it didn't feel like a coffee shop. If you're just popping in for a cup of coffee, it'll probably feel like "too much" but if you want a full breakfast experience, it's perfect.
