Everyone is very friendly however those prices are not, everything here is used and is 30+ dollars for clothing and 20+ dollars for stained stuffed animals. While passing through town I had a need to add to my hoard at home. This place was very large and had a little of everything. Each little booth was it's own little shop. Most of them were orderly, priced and provided a wide range of products. I was able to find a neat chess set and some DVDs of movies I liked as a child. Even my kids were able to find something. What I really liked about this place was the couches in the front where my kids were able to just hang out while I tried to add to my hoard. If I am ever in the neighborhood again I will definitely stop in for more deals. read more

i saw this place from a tiktok-- this place is cute walking in but should probably mark their business as four dollar signs--$$$$.. everything was way overpriced for being a consignment. coming from OC the thrifts/consignments aren't even this expensive especially with this place being in the middle of nowhere. All of their pieces are heavily worn, they are more than second hand. used and abused i remember seeing random magazines in the front for 5$ a piece . looked at a pair of doc martins again heavily worn--$85. They're open 7 days a week! It's unusual for an antique mall to be there when you need it any day of the week. Sometimes I really do need to spend at least an hour shopping for treasures. They also have a large parking lot. The store is well lit on the bottom floor, but a little bit darker, as well as quieter, upstairs. Prices are typical for this type of shop-- if you find something you love, you'd probably be willing to pay their price. The front desk/cashiers are receptive and organized. The addition of a cute little coffee stand inside towards the front is such a great idea. All in all, everything about this place is customer-satisfaction oriented. My daughter and me went shopping and was followed by the store employee the whole time we shopped. Downstairs and upstairs like we were thieves. We felt very uncomfortable and harassed. After I ask the employee to please let us shop in peace she called the owner Tina who then said that there was thieves in the store stealing like we had something to do with it. I paid for our items and never return. As much as I don't like theft I don't like judgemental people who mistakenly profile others as well. I will never go back or support that establishment or their estate sales they conduct in the future. Beware if you shop here you will get profiled if you don't fit their expectations of their customers. No stars should be given to this business and what's sad is I like to support my hometowns local business but they need to do better. read more

Luckily, they have a coffee shop inside the store to fuel your adventure AND shopping carts so you can drag your littles along with you! This antique store is very unique and is always full of weird, wild, and fun items! Since the booths are individually rented, you get a nice wide variety of different types of items. Some booths are full of handmade and repurposed items, too! NOTE** If you see something you are interested in, be sure to snag it while you are already there! I have been doing business with In Your Wildest Dreams for many years. During that time, I have purchased many items and also consigned goods to sell. Due to a recent move, I was not able to visit the store as often. However, when I came in January 2025, I consigned many items, and I also saw that some of my previously consigned goods, including Dooney bags and clothing, were still on display. At that time, I also had a remaining balance in my account. When I returned in August, however, I was shocked to find that none of my items were on display anymore, and my balance had been reduced to zero. How can something like this happen? This store deceives and takes advantage of consumers. Because they have known me for years and were aware that I had not been visiting frequently, I believe they deliberately cheated me. I strongly warn others not to consign your items with this store. They should be reported and investigated by the Consumer Protection Agency, and both the employees and the owner must be held accountable. read more

I went to an estate sale run by these company today. I was purchasing a panel divider, I had the price tag on my hand, ready to buy it, a bearded employee with reading glasses on his 30's ask me for the price tag, and then gave it to a buyer friend of his and told me the item was sold. I had the tag on my hand but since the other buyer knew the blonde buyer lady, I was literally racially discriminated. Some of the places in the building smell like URINE very bad. Also, Staff is rude and prices are beyond overpriced for secondhand thrift shop. We saw a chair that another thrift shop had exact model and it was less than half the price this place was selling it at. I enjoy going through all the thrift shops downtown, but this is the one that I just keep walking by now and don't bother stopping by. Inside smells worse than the outside. read more

The first and foremost thing we need to address is parking. Parking is crucial when you're downtown. And there is plenty of parking. They have their own little parking lot and there's also street parking. The store is extremely organized and there's a method to the madness. It takes a little to look around and take it all in, but once you start shopping it makes sense. The little plastic colored circles around the hangers are all indicators of size. And on each rack they're all separated by style and color. It's pretty impressive how organized it is considering there's not one article of clothing that's a duplicate. To the right is more "todays" fashion clothes. You will find tons of brand names in extremely good condition. J. Crew, Calvin Klein, H&M, and Lululemon are just a few of the major brands I picked up and purchased. To the left is a variety of shoes (brand new gems I've bought are Nine West, Seychelles, and Vince Camutos) and true vintage clothing. Behind the counter and in locked cabinets you'll see a wide variety of major brand names like Gucci shoes, Louie Vuitton purses, Jimmy Choos, etc, etc. And sprinkled throughout you'll see purses, furniture, and accessories. There are more rooms throughout that kind of branch off from the front area that are filled with different vendors. So that's where you can start hunting for your milk glass or Pyrex. And even a little outside area with patio furniture and succulents. They are extremely particular if you take your clothes in for cash or consignment. They only take clothes in season and certain brands. To me this just shows they have pride in what they sell and have a certain standard. I mean honestly the people who benefit from their stipulations is us, the buyer. I have to say buying your clothes is an extremely smart tactic on them. You take your clothes in, in hopes to take some extra cash home. While they go through your clothes you start shopping around. You start trying things on, find several things you fall in love with and head to the register. They offer you cash, you take it, and literally hand it back to them when you pay for your purchases. True story because this happened to me. I've noticed anytime I go in, no matter what time of day there are always several people shopping. The place is never empty. I've realized that it's because there's something for everyone. No matter what age. It's really cool to see a downtown store thrive. *TIP* If you like it, buy it!! I tried on these really pretty red pants that I was contemplating, but my buy pile was getting big, so I didn't get them. A couple days later I couldn't stop thinking about them. I went back with a lot of hope, but realistic approach that they were probably gone. I scoured the store, but I couldn't find them. I knew they wouldn't be there, but it still made me super sad. I'm still kicking myself and I continue to mourn the loss of the pretty red pants. read more

My friend and I came to shop recently at second Saturday. We had bought several things from different vendors outside and no vendors had bags to give us which was fine. We didn't mind holding our things. After shopping outside we decided to look around inside. Assuming they have cameras and people at the front desk they'd notice WE CAME INSIDE WITH THESE CLOTHES. We walked around for a couple minutes and were approached by one employee who then asked us if we wanted her to hold our things in the front which we replied no because we purchased them OUTSIDE. She then made a comment that just sounded like she didn't believe us but left us alone. That first interaction made us uncomfortable but we brushed it off and kept walking around. We were then approached a SECOND time by someone else asking us the same question and when I told her once again we bought these clothes outside the comment and mannerisms she had were coming off as rude and she clearly didn't believe us. We knew they thought we were stealing at this point but AGAIN we brushed it off and tried to enjoy our time shopping and looking at the booths. I ended up finding something to buy and so did my friend so we went up to the register to pay for these items and I was questioned about the items I bought outside. I explained how I got them from a vendor outside and the price I paid hoping they'd get off my ass about it already. In my mind I was willing to pull out my phone to show the proof on Venmo that I paid for them OUTSIDE!! My friend noticed other employees talking behind the counter and looking at me as I was paying for the item I found inside the store. They didn't question me further or persist the situation but I was extremely uncomfortable. This is not the way you should treat people especially if you want to keep returning customers. You have cameras for a reason. I understand theft in retail is a pain to deal with but if you continue to treat EVERY person you THINK is stealing without proof or assume they're stealing just based off of how they look then your reputation is gonna spread around and nobody will want to shop there anymore. People wanna shop without being made uncomfortable. Get a better system. read more

I wanted this be something that worked for me. A destination on my downtown Bakersfield shopping network. Common now, no greeting when coming in. No acknowledgement you have even come in. Store set up as used and vintage clothing store. I am from the days of Aadvarks, Flips and other shops of these types and thought yay! No, big disappointment. Overpriced, not that interesting. Most of us have expensive tastes, but when it comes to a budget most of us ladies have to also live realistically, that is unless we love extravagant spending, while live in the poor house. I've always wondered why women who afford these luxuries toss such nice looking things out from their closets, because I hold onto things for decades. No really, I do! I'm not joking. I have a Diane Furstenberg dress from the 1970's! That dress in my closet, and I purchased it at this store years ago...smooth as butter! so why the heck did I find a $200 pair of Italian made Isabella Fiore heels for only $8 and a and a pair of $150 Steve Madden Heels in size 10 today for only $18? I find it hard to believe that there are so many name brands here for the taking at ridiculously low prices. I mean, please don't raise your pricing, this is the only way women like me who want nice things can afford nice things. I am a student. I love this place! I do!
