One of my favorite restaurants in Port Chester. Every dish is so authentic and has so much flavor. I got the Lomo Salado small size and it was just enough and tasted so good. Though this is a very small restaurant and there's limited parking, I would still recommend going here. Just plan giving your self time to find parking and a spot to sit if it's busy! Everything was wonderfully delicious. Came here for dinner after visiting the Kensico Dam Plaza for the opening weekend of Winter Wonderland. My 6yo loved the chicken quesadilla. The chips and guacamole were amazing, especially when cmixed with their jalapeño green sauce, which was so good we bought some to bring home. Incazteca is honestly some of the best Mexican/Peruvian you will get in Westchester. My wife and I recently went for lunch and they had some of the best steak nachos I've ever had. The food is very authentic, comes out hot and made too perfection. We also ordered a burrito that was huge and a 1/2 order of the lomo Saltado. The portions are perfect I feel like they don't skimp at all. Everyone who works there was very pleasant and always smiling. It's not the biggest restaurant just so you know it does at times feel like you're on top of the table next to you but I think it's well worth it. Also parking can be a little bit of a pain I recommend parking in the parking lot near A&S. I was looking for a place to get some Lomo Saltado. When I was browsing through Yelp I noticed that one reviewer mentioned how good the Lomo Saltado was jjp. I ordered take out and didn't want to wait to get home to try it. So I pulled into the Port Chester parking lot. Before I parked saw a cop parked nearby me and was like ehhh let me go to another spot cause I don't want this officer seeing me grubbbbb and thinking something is wrong with me when I do my happy eating dance lolllll. Needless to say the Lomo Saltado was bombbbb. The meat was tender. Fries meshed perfectly. Veggies yum. I also ordered plantains (maduros) and just delicious. Anddd I also got a horchata. Very good! Incazteca is a little gem in this town. It really doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is spectacular. There's also a lot of street parking on the side street next to it. This would have really been a five star review but our food took 45 minutes to come out and the restaurant wasn't exactly busy. I think they got backed up with to-go orders and got them mixed up with regular orders in the restaurant. It was definitely a little annoying since we were in a time crunch. Other than that, our server was polite and friendly. She did apologize for the food taking so long and I know it wasn't her fault, it was definitely the kitchen. Even our drinks took a long time to come out. We got some complementary chips and salsa. They were delicious, fresh crunchy chips and a great salsa. They also bring out their three homemade salsas for the chips and food. They were all delicious, one was smoky, one was creamy and one was spicy. Yum. We went with chicken tacos and a salmon and shrimp mushroom chipotle cream sauce dish. Both were excellent. The chicken in the tacos was flavorful and tacos themselves were fresh and hot. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the mushroom chipotle sauce was to dye for. There are really no complaints on the food here. If you're coming for a relaxed dinner where you have time, I'd highly suggest this place. If you're in a hurry you might want to try somewhere else because the service is definitely slower. I don't remember the last time I was completely shocked at how wonderful every element of a restaurant was - the food, the staff, the cleanliness. The food - Incazteca offers a large selection. One side of the menu is Mexican, the other side is Peruvian. My companions and I stuck with Peruvian and everything was outstanding. We started with a lovely yucca appetizer and then each of us had AMAZING entrees - tallarines verdes, saltado de pescado and saltado de camarones. We kept swapping plates and cooing over how good everything was - and how incredibly plentiful. Everythign was cooked perfectly - and I have to say the fried fish may be my new favorite fried fish - so delicate, and flaky. We had no intention of getting dessert - but one glance at the homemade desserts in the display case had us change our minds. We shared a tres leches caramel cake - and so very glad we did. The staff - SO accommodating. They were happy to answer all questions and to make suggestions. They kept our water glasses full and checked in with regularity to see if anything else was needed. We were the last table to leave - and the whole staff were hard at work cleaning all surfaces in the small dining room and in the kitchen. I haven't tried the Mexican food on the menu but im sure that's great too. They give you a whole bottle of the green sauce to use while eating and it's great and has the right amount of spice. I trekked 20minutes to the outskirts of port Chester to try out this yelp favorite. Confession that Peruvian food and me fell in love a long time ago. Bottom line - this is dependable, utility peruvian food sold at reasonable/value prices. Everyone there was latino and appeared to be having a nice time. No music and no ambiance to speak of. Maybe six tables. Seemed to be doing a steady take out biz, grubhub etc. The dishes are straight up renditions, neither any attempt at interpretation nor of elevating any of the ingredients. My wife had camarones saltados, basically shrimp instead of the classic lomo. It was totally the dish, nothing more nothing less, nothing better nothing worse. The only odd part of this place is that they have another menu of Mexican food?! Wtf. And would u believe me if I told you that I ordered off that menu? Salmon with a mushroom shrimp cream sauce. That was a pretty delicious sauce. I thought the plate of accompanying veggies was a nice touch. Usually places that do two things do not do them well, but this place, which serves Mexican and Peruvian food, is an exception. Both sides of the menu here are very good. Some particular highlights: -Often at Central/South American restaurants, the veggie sides are afterthoughts and not that good. Here, the side veggies are not mushy/frozen and very tasty. -Tamarindo aqua fresca is delicious and not too sweet. -The nachos are fabulous. -Ceviche is consistently fresh with large portions. -I order the chupe de camarones every time - one of my favorite versions of this soup in town. -Reasonably priced -Very nice and friendly staff with good service The place is a bit small, and parking is tough. We visited this new addition to the neighborhood on our ritualistic Taco Tuesday outing. It's a small, cozy restaurant with a handful of tables and two menus. Yup, DOS menus. One Peruvian, another Mexican. You can start off with bright citrus notes of ceviche and settle into body warming mole poblano. Nachos with Chicken a la Brasa (crossover item) - were based with fresh (possibly made in house?) tortilla chips and piled high with giant shreds of rotisserie chicken, beans, tomatoes, melty cheese, jalapeños, crema and a THICC dollop of guacamole. I'm a bigger fan of "Texas Style" nachos, where the chips are individually topped and served in a single layer, creating uniform and balanced bites. But, these more common "pile it on style" nachos managed to hit a good ratio of toppings to ingredients. Great start. The Fried Yuca (Cassava) is simple but a must order. No fibrous cores to be found and perfectly sized wedges that had a crispy exterior yielding to a creamy interior. It could've used a dash of salt but the provided sauces definitely do the job. The Peruvian fried rice had a deep mahogany flavor from the soy sauce and was a delicious Asian influenced tangent on the menu. A thoughtful and classic Peruvian comfort food that reflects the Chinese population in Peru. Tallarines (Peruvian style Spaghetti with Pesto) was pleasantly toothsome and the pesto refreshingly bright. When served alongside the savorier Mexican dishes like the smokey and spicy Chicken Tinga and Chorizo Huaraches, you begin to see the balance the two cuisines give each other. Not forgetting it was Taco Tuesday! The chicken and steak tacos were good and generously filled, as were the tacos dorados (potato filled taquitos). But they were out shined by the other dishes. The combined size of both menus with intercontinental influences can be a bit overwhelming if you're unfamiliar. But take the time to curate a meal from both cuisines and you're in for a great medley of flavors. Service was standard and casual. However, the right waiter could really elevate the meal and experience to an even higher level. Also, no booze! Some ridiculous town building code - figure that out Port Chester! Didn't try their desserts but one chocolate cake in their display looked rich - we'll make sure to save room for our next visit. read more

Incazteca is located along busy Westchester Ave. in Port Chester, NY. The restaurant is somewhat non-descript. The restaurant does not offer off-street parking, but there was generous parking available around on the corner on Merritt Street (free). The restaurant seems to do a pretty heavy takeout trade, especially in the pandemic, as my wife and I were the only diners. However, that could be equally due to the lack of outdoor dining and the small dining room. The casual hole in the wall setting immediately worked in our favor. We were seated right away and we received a pleasant amount of attention from the wait staff. They kept the cups of water coming, which was certainly appreciated given the pleasant level of spiciness in our ceviche appetizer. Following our ceviche, we decided to split a carne asada. The sirloin was sliced thinly and mixed in with peppers and onions that had a nice crunch to them. The gravy that topped the sirloin dripped nicely onto the fries served underneath the steak and vegetables. There were some very delicious looking cakes and traditional desserts available for purchase as well that we passed on. I definitely would return and maybe let my sweet tooth go to work. I was very excited to find a Peruvian food spot in this area as I was not expecting that type of cuisine in such a small town. I ordered the ceviche mixto and lomo saltado. The ceviche was great, I enjoyed the presentation but would have appreciated it more if they just had it mixed up like normal. Everything tasted fresh and I was very happy with it. It was also a very large portion. The lomo saltado was also good. Meat was nice and tender and rice was fresh, not dry or anything. I want to come back and try their dessert and some other dishes because I was impressed by the food. A bit disappointed they don't service alcohol as I would have enjoyed a Pisco Sour, but they serve drinks like Horchata and Chicha Morada.
