Not stringy fatty pieces, just high quality steak! I use to come here all the time when I was working near by but have moved away since then. Was in the area for something at The Cap, and wanted to try someplace new. Looking at reviews, we figured that we'd give Las Brisas a shot. Easily the best lunch choice that I've made in Port Chester in ages. The tortas was huge. And delicious. Did I mention that it was huge? Ordered as a tortas de pollo, y todo, this beast was stuffed with chicken, lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, guacamole, and mayo. I may be forgetting something since I'm still kind of in a food coma. Served hot, on what may have been a loaf of fresh bread, it was epic. Everything else that I saw other people eating looked delicious, and the menu board(s) was huge. Needed a quick place to just sit down and eat but was in the mood for Mexican. This place has amazing food! The food was fresh. The food came out hot and the service was fast and efficient! I dropped my gf off to her company's (employees only) Xmas dinner and was in the mood for a burrito. I came to this place on good faith and of course the reviews. I indeed ordered the steak burrito and was appalled by the amount of hair I found in the side of black beans and rice which was served with the burrito. It wasn't one strand it was several! First time I thought it was cheese but it shouldn't break and I pulled it out of my mouth... I was like it happens whatever I'm hungry I want to enjoy this. I dig in for some beans and rice again and behold yet another strand... At this point I'm like what the hell is going on! I pulled it out and rubbed it ought on the table not thinking that heu I have to show this to management. Then I went digging for a few minutes thinking shucks I'm not going to find anymore, I was wrong. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to take my order and another 30 minutes to serve... Considering there were several others in the kitchen and only 3 other customers I don't think it should have taken that long. Honestly, I wouldn't have written this review if the waitress could have at least offered to give me something else other than walk off after I showed her the hair clumped with a black bean and rice. I even paid for the club soda I had just because what's fair is fair. read more

I love Mexican food! Las Brisas always hits the spot. This is not a place that will visually impress. Take out is recommended. The tacos are great (especially the carnitas and chorizo). The burrito (burro) is excellent. It comes with red/black beans and rice. I've tried many other spots in Port Chester that do not satisfy me as much as Las Brisas. Though my tummy may beg to differ..... Too much hot sauce!! read more

Food was good and owner was very nice. The place is cash only so I was a bit low on cash so owner gave my daughter some extra rice and beans at no charge. Would recommend this place if you want authentic food. There was a bakery not sure that had great treats as well. read more

This is a very authentic grill-style Mexican place. This place has been here for a long time (I started coming here in 1995, and it was very popular among SUNY Purchase students). They tend to cater to the Port Chester immigrant community, but the lady behind the counter speaks pretty good english. I live on Long Island, but I love this place so much that I make an effort to come here whenever I am passing through Westchester co. Really good tacos al carbon! read more

This place honestly has the best steak burrito I've ever eaten. I come here often, and the staff is always very pleasant as well.

I've been coming here since the late 90's and it's always good. Never had a bad experience. I usually get burritos and black beans but I hear the rest is great too. Parking on the street is a little tricky but the food is worth the hassle. UPDATE 11/09/17 : I was at Las Brisas again yesterday and upon recommendation from other posters, ordered the enchiladas. Huevos Rancheros are excellent!!! Place has been there for long time. Same people work there every day and the food is consistent. My coworkers say its dirty but I disagree you can see the entire kitchen from the front counter - ITs WHAT you dont see at restaurants that you need to worry about. And oh yeah no one there speaks English just Spanish and everyone is Mexican which = recipe for the best ethnic restaurants Good place they only take cash - another good sign for good food. read more

The staff is very friendly, but if you speak even a little Spanish, it would certainly make ordering easier. The decor is very simple, almost feels like you are hanging out at a friend's house. I have been a Las Brisas customer for over 20 years. Starting eating there when I was right out of college, new to the area & couldn't afford much else. It's 20ish years later and I still love the place. It's not fancy and it's somewhat self-serve (drinks are in a cooler) but in all the times I've eaten their food I have never had a bad meal.
