I took S.W.F.'s 2019 word for it that smelling the paint for months was a very unusual occurrence. The new blinds have been airing out every day (except during rain), and when we walk into the room after the window has been closed overnight, the paint smell is still strong. Almost six months airing out the blinds! S.W.F. did offer to make a replacement set, but given their track record, and not wanting to waste materials and energy, we'll give them another few months to air out. But will never buy their wood blinds again! If you don't like the smell of wet paint, you may be disappointed with S.W.F.' wood painted blinds.
