Good Morning after…read morebeing let go from my previous employer after 8 years, I was left wondering what next - and while the world was in the middle of a global pandemic it was a difficult decision to make while locked up in the house Reassessing , I made the choice to learn a new career. the programs at Peloton College offered choice in careers that will give me an edge to maintaining employment and at any part of the country should I need to in any situation . Medical Billing and Coding was my choice , and I was determined to attain to the best of my ability the course program and achieve a new successful career not only was it a challenge to go back to school but to also overcome the fear after not being in school since high school graduation 1989. and at being an older adult I was second guessing my own abilities. from administrators to the faculty, I never had a second thought about the quality of training and empathy I was getting from Peloton College and also the fact that the curriculum was based in a classroom , and having to attend the classes 90% in a online format due to the pandemic made it more challenging to complete, but my instructor gave me the curriculum in a matter that I could understood and surpass my expectation of what I could achieve myself. Ms. Diana Bowie not only made it understandable but also made the complexity of Medical Billing And Coding easy to grasp and learn. Peloton College's determination to provide students the tools to succeed in new careers is fully demonstrated. The more time you spend here, whether as a student, a parent, or a professor, the more apparent the budget issues are. One way University of Dallas makes its money is by increasing the price of tuition every year. Academic awards for students do not increase, so you will be paying more each year. Many departments are underfunded, and the former president who focused heavily on increasing revenue was let go due to some back room scandals and drama that the administration will not disclose. There are a lot of instances in which I've felt like UD cares more about PR than it does about its own students. Most recently, when the new President was inaugurated, students were prohibited using from certain parking lots near academic buildings because they were reserved for "guests" at the inauguration, and apparently students are not guests at their own president's inauguration. I have a lot of things to say about campus life like most students. Mainly there is never enough parking to accommodate everyone and it cost $125/year when I was there just to park on campus. The parking fines are extremely petty and show the university's greed for money. The housing requirement for students is similar (unnecessary and only exists to bring in money). The food on campus is mediocre, and Aramark, the provider of food services, has a monopoly over the food available on campus. So having said all that, the education you get here is pretty solid, and professors are generally passionate about their fields while also challenging towards students' preconceived ideas. The core curriculum is focused on God, Nature, and Man, and all the academic subjects that encompass/combine these. I really liked a lot of my professors. UD students are known for their writing skills, and employers are aware of this.

Their vow of stability means they will be there long after the boys leave to make their mark in the world. The education and facilities are top rated. Formerly Radio Shack headquarters (all you millennials who dont know, RS was like Best Buy), the whole building was split between Tarrant has now been aquired by TCC. Back then when RS was still in business they use to share the building, certain sections were RS employees and the rest TCC students/staff. The layout is a bit odd because its on a hill so there are parts where you take an elevator up and then walk down the hall and take the elevator down because not everything is connected. There is a lot of space everywhere you go and you can find cozy little corners to study or take a nap all over the place. If that's not your thing panther island is right outside with plenty of walking trails and during the summer they have paddle boats available for rent. Lots of sculptures and water fountains which look every more beautiful in the summer with the flowers blooming and the Texas heat. I play pokemon go and notice many stops and gyms to keep me entertained. I love this location because there is so much to do between classes, take a walk outside and you are at the trinity river or at a fancy restaurant downtown. This campus in my opinion has the best views of all the campuses, the best cafeteria by a landslide and the best parking situation. Students attending TR need a parking sticker to park here but it is free! All you have to do is go to the police kiosk and show them a copy of your schedule, fill out a sheet and your set to go. Because this parking garage is in downtown they are always strict on parking so FYI. I know a lot of the professors that teach at TCC also teach at other local universities so they are equality professors. You pay a fraction of the price here compared to big name schools. Financial aid is available on top of the already low cost of tuition here. TCC has many clubs and organizations students can join so please take advantage of them.

Needed to run by the advising office and financial aid department to have a few questions answered. Keeping in mind most of the offices are manned by students, I try to keep my cool when dealing with them. However, this one "employee" really got under my skin. Blatantly contradricting something I knew for a fact I read on the school's website, she would not let the issue go. Thankfully someone else stepped in to help after noticing I was about to totally lose it. In the end, I wrapped up all I needed to accomplish on campus and headed on my way. I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2014 from this same campus. A lot has changed since then, but I'm looking forward to taking a few courses for grins and giggles. TCC is a great place for an inexpensive, yet quality, education. Go check it outt!

My youngest is playing football for Texas Wesleyan and it feels more and more like "home" every time we step foot on the campus. This is a place where personal connection to your environment, fellow students, faculty, and staff MATTER. Here the "we care about your child" isn't just spoken, but lived, at every single level of the University. College isn't for everyone. If it's for you (or your child) check out Texas Wesleyan if smaller CAN be better - smaller campus, smaller classes, more tightly reigned focus (after all who really needs a degree in 20 different Chinese dialects?!), and a staff that knows your child's name. This isn't A&M; this isn't TCU. This is like Cheers in a sense - everyone will now your child's name and will do everything they can to make sure they succeed. This is the right fit for my bright, communication-focused, self-directed child; it wasn't about whether he was a big fish in a small pond, or a small fish in a huge pond. This is about finding the right-size pond where he can thrive. I believe with my whole heart that TX Wes is that place. There's a Rosedale Renaissance going on; I can't wait to watch this place and its community get better and better!

The professors are are almost ALL liberal thinkers and Marxist. Critical Race Theory is pushed in almost every class. 1619 is not condemned as fiction and questioning professors blatant biases is mocked. Some classes are even proudly anti American. It is not a safe place for conservatives not Christians.

As you encounter faculty and staff you get a sense of community here that I don't always find on high school campuses. Between my work, and also between having some very active family members in the high school community I have a unique opportunity to visit and work with a lot of high schools. I can honestly say that this one is very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I was here for an event that my grandson was participating in. That event required tickets and essentially you have to go onto a website or get an app in order to purchase tickets even as a visitor to the school. The staff here was very friendly and helpful as far as helping me purchase tickets for my family. I also attended the concession stand and the adults and students There were very friendly, welcoming and helpful too. I have to say my visit here, and all the encounters I had with people that represent the school, including the students was very pleasant.
