I explained…read moreto Jimmy that I have a lot of scarring in my wrist area due to approximately 100 IVs I've received in that area over the last decade due to chronic illness and I also explained that I am neurodivergent and that I may need frequent breaks in order to process the sensation of the tattoo gun and he completely understood me and we made a plan of action. We ended up doing a pattern for the whole thing where he'd tattoo for 20 seconds and then stop for 10 seconds so I could process and then start tattooing again for 20 seconds and we repeated that until it was finished! This tattoo is super important to me as I'm a make a wish kid and my wish was to meet the band My Chemical Romance back in 2022 and for every show date of their tour they wrote something different on the drumhead and for the show I attended they wrote Bloom on the drumhead and I ended up taking it and tracing it so he would have a clear reference image to work from and we ended up listening to their music during the process which was a really nice distraction from the pain and anxiety that I had when it first started since I didn't know what to expect but Jimmy walked me through everything and was extremely patient with me through the whole thing and made sure to ask for my consent and permission before he started tattooing during every single break we took which was incredibly helpful for me and I will definitely be coming back in the future!
