This was my girlfriend and I first time at this restaurant. We see it quite often on our route to work and finally found a chance to come in. No, they don't have a buffet - which means the food is freshly prepared and delicious. The people that work here are absolutely great at recommending something you like. A lot of the food is moderately spicy, but they seem to be able to increase or tone down the heat on almost any dish. All the entrees come with either an "a la carte" or as a "dinner" option. The a la carte includes an entree with either rice or naan. The dinner is the entree, with rice, naan, dal (a lentil soup), and a cucumber salad. They usually also have one or two dishes that are specials where you get most of the dinner entree for an a la carte. We love the great Indian food from the menu (no buffet), and the occasional special that looks enticing (posted on a small board inside the front door). Bollywood movies playing on the tv are always too loud - but that's part of coming here, so be warned but that should not keep you away. My co-worker brought me here for lunch and ever since then I am hooked on this place. I tried out many other Indian restaurants and am always referencing back to ICC about how good the food is. My favorite dishes are Chicken Korma, Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Kabab. The Chicken Korma comes with a delicious cashew cream sauce. It goes well with rice and naan. The sauce looks similar to yellow curry, but it's not. If you can't handle spicy curry, then this will be your best dish to order. The Saag Paneer is another great veggie dish. The spinach complements well with the Indian cheese. It didn't taste heavy on the cheese; rather, it tasted light and had a good flavor to it. The chicken Tikka Kabab presented with a sizzling iron plate. As the dish is being brought to the table, you can see the burning smoke which smells incredibly appetizing and makes your mouth water! Not sure why it's taken me so long to write a review for this place! It has long been a go-to when I'm in Dallas, but being here in the age of covid, it has become an absolute staple. Encouraging to see that the staff are always wearing masks, both in the kitchen and front-of-house. The restaurant is kept clean - and from what I can tell, the kitchen is as well. Employees are kind and accommodating. If you call & pay ahead, they'll even bring your order straight to the car. It feels like a "safe" place to order take-out during these times. Though we've never had a dish we didn't enjoy here, the samosas w/ red chutney, veggie korma, and paneer tikka masala are stand-outs and never disappoint. Kheer for dessert is also a treat. OMG, this place is great. Nothing fancy, kind of like an Indian Pei Wei, order at the counter and they bring the food to you. No alcohol. Every thing was great, except I expected the fish curry to be spicier. Maybe because it was a special of the day, but really thats the only taste complaint I have. The pani puri was the best I've had outside India and I've been here for over 15 years. Reason for lack of 1 star was the fish curry and the music was too loud. This is by far the best Indian food I have had in Dallas. They do not offer a buffet and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I love fresh ingredients and food prepared with care and love. This place definitely fits that bill. I also love true spicy Indian food, and this place will accommodate my spicy cravings when I make the request. The service is always friendly and the regular crowd of patrons definitely know their cuisine. Do try the specials on the white board when you walk in. They come with rice and naan as well as some additional sides so it's a small feast for a low cost. Do try the pizza (pizza you ask? Yes! Pizza!). But my tried and true favorites include the samosas, butter chicken, chicken tikka, lamb vindaloo (spicy!), and palak paneer (super fresh & delicious)!
