I came here around 6 pm Sunday and we got seated immediately. They also have customer reserved parking right in front of the restaurant which is so convenient. The ambiance was very upscale and clean, had a romantic vibe with the dim lighting. We ordered chai, pani puri, samosa chaat, and a main dish. Everything was soooooo delicious and the portions were huge! I have a low spice tolerance too so it was great that it was exactly up to my standard. I ended up needing to box up half the meal afterwards which the workers did for me which was so kind of them. The service was amazing and I drank a lot of water. Will definitely be back for the best Indian food ever.

This is a wonderful place for a relaxing India food experience. Great wine list and great service from the minute you enter. The food is fresh and flavorful. We enjoyed the shrimp, chicken & vegetable dishes all in fragrant and flavorful spices.

This is my favorite Indian spot in Dallas! I ordered the Chicken Korma (extra extra spicy). It was HOT but wasn't unbearable and the flavors are soo delicious you want to just keep eating. Paired that with some rice and Garlic Naan and all washed down with a classic Indian Beer Taj Mahal... wow this place is truly a hidden gem in the area. It's very clean and the service is on point. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Very dim and romantic atmosphere. The service was great and the food was good. The vegetable samosas were phenomenal. The garlic naan was VERY garlicky

It had been many years since we ate here. No particular reason why other than so many different restaurants to try in DFW. We were in the neighborhood after the kid had a swimming competition so we had lunch here on a Saturday. The restaurant was quite busy, which was something of a surprise. Another surprise was the lunch buffet. I had expected to order from a menu, but the buffet was large (at least 20 items) with a good mix of meat dishes and non-meat dishes. There is also a dessert table, which I did not try. So we opted for the buffet. I tried chicken tikka masala, which was not spicy at all but had good flavor; tandoori chicken which had nice flavor and was smoky; saag (creamed spinach) which was spicy and excellent; yellow rice; potato curry (not spicy) and potatoes were really soft; some veggie dish with cheese and peas that was spicy; and naan bread. Everything was warm and tasted fresh. Naan bread was not as hot or crispy as I like, and tasted like it had been sitting under a warmer, but it served its purpose. Of note was the tandoori chicken. It is not easy to keep tandoori chicken from drying out at a buffet, but the three pieces I had were tender and while not exactly juicy, were not dry. As you can see, I definitely overate, which is why we try to avoid buffets! The Wife had much the same as me but also tried the beef coconut curry which she said was excellent; and the goat curry which was excellent and really spicy. So, the food was very good and we had no complaints. The ambience is fine, the restaurant appears to have been remodeled since our last visit many years ago. The eating area is smaller and darker than I remember. There is now a bar which I don't remember, and that is probably a money maker. Service was a bit slow, but to be fair one guy was doing the bar and the entire dining area where we were seated by himself. So he was busy. The reason for 4 stars is that the buffet was $23 for an adult, which I think it is rather high. Kids cost $15.95. Drinks are separate. So, with tax and tip it was an $80 lunch, which is a lot I think. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the food and definitely will not wait so long to return.

Great variety with many dishes I've not seen elsewhere. India Palace has a very upscale vibe and a weekend lunch buffet that includes cook to order stations (check for hours). There were so many delicious items, I was only able to eat a little of each! The Chicken Tikka Masala is as good as I've had anywhere, and the Chili Chicken was a combination of sweet, spicy and savory that will have you wanting more! I also tried some Chicken Biryani, Beef Madras, Goat & Broccoli Curry, Vegetable Samosa, Mixed Vegetables and Saag. The cook to order station featured Masala Dosa with Cutney and Panipuri with spicy green chili and/or sweet tamarind sauce. Both are something to be experienced. Dosa is a thin, savory crepe made from fermented rice. Panipuri is a light, fried hollow sphere that's filled with potato and chickpea and then to a spicy or sweet sauce. They are eaten in one bite and are a pop of flavor that is unlike anything else I've tried. India Palace also offers a full lunch and dinner menu and a full bar. It offers something for every palate, and is clear why they've received multiple accolades from numerous area publications. If you like Indian food, this is the number one place to try!

Visited for an event and really enjoyed the food here! All the appetizers, entrées, and desserts were flavorful and generous regarding portion size. The service was fantastic, especially for a large group. The seating was clean and plentiful, and the bathroom was also very clean. The service was fantastic! Parking is very easy as there is a large lot right in front of the entrance! Really enjoyed the mango lassi!

    All my rowdy friends!

Javier was a fantastic waiter! This was my very first time eating Indian food and it will not be my last! Everything was delicious and the restaurant mgr, waiters, staff...were all great! They did their job perfectly!

Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer, and Malai Kofta Kashmiri were all delicious!

We went for brunch, which I will admit is overpriced. $75pp before drinks? Wow. Definitely go hungry. Were we mad at it though? Definitely not. There was so much to try, I loved the sushi bar, the kids loved the dessert bar, especially the chocolate fountain. The location is nice and upscale and it's a nice place to go celebrate something. I hope it's not actually closed!

It was my very first time going to Komodo and the first time experience was not the greatest. Before I go into my review, I did enjoy the ambiance, decor and food. The food was actually really good and the portions were decent. I ordered the wagyu beef dumplings and garlic noodles for starters. I initially chose the Peking duck and was super excited to try it. This is where it started to downhill... As we were ordering starters and drinks, the drinks came out fairly quick and the starters did take about 15-20 minutes which I understand it was a Saturday night. After most of the appetizers came out, we decided to order our entrees because we noticed how long the appetizers took. About hour and some time goes by, the waiter comes back to tell me they just ran out of Peking duck. Which was disappointing so I quickly ordered the Korean fried chicken. The timing with how they ran out the entrees was a whole mess. There were two food runners that were confused with the food orders. 1 of 8 of my friends got their food way before all of us, we had waited an additional 15 minutes before 2 more entrees came out. Oh! My second appetizer (garlic noodles) still haven't come out yet and some of my friends had their entrees....My Korean fried chicken came out but it was fairly quickly so I'm not sure they just threw it in real quick for an apology of taking so long. Two of the breasts we're hard and tough to cut. So then we waited and waited for my very last friend to get her Lo mein...it was an extra 45 minutes until she was able to get her food!!!!! Unacceptable. I was so irritated about that and just ruined the mood. We were all done eating our food by then. We were already frustrated and ready to go at that point, but as soon as she got her food, the veggies were undercooked and it was an overall upsetting situation. I wish I had a better outcome and better celebration for my birthday. I would only recommend this place if you have nothing to do..because you will be waiting for your food for a long time. I suggest to eat before you go and by the time you digest, your food will be ready

Their recent 4th of July post on IG caught my attention, especially the grilled steak with fireworks, so I made a reservation for Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Quick tip: The restaurant is still very busy on Sunday evenings, so be sure to make your reservation several days in advance. The location can be a little tricky to find. After exiting I-35, you'll encounter several intersections and freeway exits with numerous stop signs, so drive carefully. Valet parking is complimentary, and I highly recommend using it. Just be sure to have some cash available to tip the valet. It's well worth it instead of spending 10 minutes searching for public parking and walking to the restaurant. Upon checking in downstairs, the receptionist warmly welcomed me with a complimentary Texas cocktail called Ranch Water. As the elevator climbed higher, the view became absolutely breathtaking. Atmosphere: After another warm greeting from the hostess upstairs, I was seated at a bar table by the window. The sun still filled the dining room with beautiful golden light from about 6:45 to 8:30 p.m., creating a stunning sunset view. It almost seemed surreal that one restaurant could have such stunning views while executing both classic, modernized Japanese sushi and premium American steak so exceptionally well. The culinary journey started with the nigiri. Unlike many other places where Japanese sushi is prepared by Vietnamese or Korean chefs, the sushi here was prepared by an authentic Japanese chef, Kesao, as I later learned from the staff. The sequence of flavors started from the lightest on the left and progressed to the richest on the right. Every bite was full of surprises--the delicate flakes of crispy salt that melted on the tongue, the yuzu, and the other sauces delicately placed on top of the sashimi, along with the Hokkaido uni (and a few other varieties whose names I couldn't identify)--felt like a symphony on my palate that comforted me and brought happiness to my inner child and soul. The entrée course began with the lobster soup, decorated with fresh, aromatic steamed lobster meat and garnished with fresh, unfamiliar herbs. (I wish I knew their names, but the ingredients were way too exotic for an average person like me.) The soup was so delicious that I quietly devoured every spoonful. Here came the rock star of the evening: the steak, prepared by Chef Schlicht. The exterior had an incredible crust with the perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. The knife glided through the steak with almost no resistance. Every bite had a crisp, caramelized crust that gave way to a perfectly tender center. I couldn't quite identify the seasoning, but both the flavor and texture made me slow down and savor every moment until the very last bite. It is satisfying--it simply made my day even better. The fresh vegetables and herbs, paired with Greek yogurt and spices, complemented the steak beautifully and elevated every bite. I chose a dry red wine recommended by the waitress because I was completely intimidated by the three extensive wine menus on the table. She made the perfect recommendation, although I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her personally. The evening concluded with a blueberry yuzu sorbet as my happy ending to the night. It was perfectly balanced. The blueberry yuzu sorbet was like pressing a reset button after the richness of the steak--bright, cold, and wonderfully clean. and full of citrus flavor. The layering of flavors and flawless execution created a dessert unlike anything I've tasted before. The Amazing Mule mocktail was another highlight. It was refreshing, flavorful, and an excellent non-alcoholic option for anyone who needs to drive home. The only aspect that could be improved was the restroom area. There wasn't clear signage indicating where guests should line up, nor was there a staff member available to direct traffic. As a result, some guests waited in front of the elevators while others lined up near the service station, occasionally getting in the way of employees delivering food. As I rode the elevator back down, I realized I hadn't just enjoyed dinner--I had experienced one of those rare evenings where every detail, from the skyline to the final spoonful of sorbet, seemed carefully orchestrated. Crown Block isn't simply a place to celebrate a special occasion; it becomes part of the memory itself.

Get an Uber or drive yourself. The location is stunning. Views are beautiful, atmosphere is very classy, not loud at all. We were there for dinner and got to watch the sunset from our side, which was gorgeous. They did remove the blinds in the middle of our dinner to open up the views, which was a nice touch. They started us off with a welcome drink, a tequila based mix of something. Not my favorite but a nice gesture. Cocktails we ordered ourselves were delicious. Service was great. Our waiter was very nice, very animated. Personally I prefer to be left alone a little more but that is just my preference, nothing against him at all, he did a great job. The bread was a little stale and lukewarm. For a restaurant at this level that is something worth improving. It comes from a bread station near the entrance on the left side and it was clearly not freshly warmed. Food was very good though. I had salmon with crab stuffing which was delicious. My husband had a steak that was cooked well overall but one side was better cooked than the other and the middle was a little cold. Still edible, still medium, just not perfect for what you are paying here. We both had hash browns which were great. This is not a cheap restaurant and we knew that going in, so the expectations are higher and the steak could have been more consistent. Quality food, quality ingredients, beautiful setting. We would come back. Not an everyday place for anyone but absolutely worth it for a special occasion. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not, the stars reflect that.
