Ordered some takeout to try the food at Mumtaz. I ordered the Samosas, Chicken Biryani and the Chicken Tikka Masala with a side of naan. The host was kind enough to offer me some kheer to try for dessert. I appreciate how quickly the food was prepared and everything was carefully packaged. My friends and enjoyed the samosas and I enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala. I found the Biryani lacking flavor. The spice was one note, when I expect Biryani to be a mix of many different spices that blend well together. I'm not a huge dessert person, but I personally really enjoyed the kheer. read more

Update: I stand behind the lunch recommendation but I can't brag on the dinner. Service was impeccable but the A-game chef doesn't work nights. The beef shahi korma was tough and lacked the creaminess I look for in a korma. The chicken tikka masala was just poorly seasoned. This is our go to Uber Eats restaurant for Indian food! We always order the Chicken Tiki Masala, Veggie Samosas, Saag Paneer, Garlic Naan, Regular Naan, and Mumatz Mixed Grill. We always share the mixed grilled meats and there's barely enough for us (I think some places it says that it should feed two people and with both of us ordering other entrees it's barely enough to share). The food is so flavorful and tasty! The samosas are flaky and filled to the max (some of the websites pictures make them look small, but they're huge). I loveeee the Saag Paneer...sometimes I think about venturing out and trying a different dish, but it's just so good and with the order of the mixed grill I still get a nice dose of protein. Occasionally, when the Naan arrives there are some hard crusty parts, so when I remember I order the onion kulcha! That stays moist and fluffy! The place was packed during lunch on a weekday, but I'm not surprised because it's honestly such a good price. I tried all their different curries, along with their naan and rice, and it was filling. They didn't have any drinks available with the buffet, but there were two different desserts. There was some rice pudding and some fried puff in sugar water. The curries were good, and dipping them with some naan makes it a happy meal. I ate two full plates and was stuffed! My husband recently wanted Indian food so my daughter had Mumtaz delivered to us. The Aloo Gobi was delicious and just the right spice. Chicken Biryani was tasty and Chicken Tikka Masala was good too. Good fragrant rice to go with all of it and garlic naan and green sauce and red sauce and really good raita. I rcommend. Found this place on Yelp and was able to easily order online for pickup. I don't know if it was a special but got 15% off my order for spending over $15. After submitting the order, I got a text saying the order was confirmed and was able to track it. Also got a text saying it was ready to pickup 10 minutes faster than expected. Now to the food: 1. The chicken biryani was amazingly a container full with lots of chicken which was deliciously awesome! 2. The chicken tikka masala wasn't very spicy so went great with the rice and came with big chunks of chicken. 3. The samosas were perfectly crisped and delicious with the sauces. 4. The garlic Naan confused me for a but because the garlic was orange colored but still tasted good. Oh and everything was wrapped in saran wrap to prevent spillage which is great because I hate when the to go containers spill. Overall good and recommend. Choosing known curry dishes, some tandoori platters, different breads and two orders of biriyani. (Lamb & a special.) All would have been greater had he not ordered everything HOT. I'm not in that distinction any longer, a pleasurable amount of spice is best for my needs and based on the hand used in the other day's order, a request for light spice level would have lended me the ability of a second helping. The trio of breads were gone in seconds. Warm & fluffy while another had chopped, sautéed veggies stuffed within. Whether meat or veg, curries were top notch. We felt as though color of curry also denoted a distinctly spicier level. The food was tasty and arrived hot. Last but not least, biriyani was (almost) quality. All of the rice was thoroughly mixed in biriyani seasoning though it could have used more time in the pressure cooker. Not at peak softness. Best to try when having others to share with. Okay! Sooooo I been going to so many restaurants this past week and we'll non have hit the spot till this place on Yelp hooked it up! I been just itching to have some Indian food so bad that I can't believe I took forever to checkout Yelp for help and here this restaurant most reviewed in the area for Indian food popped up and it did not disappoint! We are talking great service so friendly, calm atmosphere, and clean. Such a great way to end my weekend food spree! The manager Shaharas I believe and Jeremiah both did and outstanding service. The food is so well seasoned and so yummy and dessert was too! We have left overs do to there abundance servings. I won't have to cook tomorrow and get to savior every bite again for lunch. I wish that I knew about this location sooner! Tucked in the middle of a strip of stores, kinda behind Zoe's kitchen, it might be hard to see from the street, but just follow GPS to find it! We were feelin like Indian food and in this area. Searched up on what was nearby on Yelp and came across this amazing hidden jem. We ordered takeout via Yelp, paid and everything and pick up was a breeze. Everything was packaged up so well, no spills what-so-ever and we are very familiar with the spills from order takeout from other restaurants... We got chicken saagwala, chicken tikka, Dal Makhani (lentils my favorite!), and a curry. We always order extra Naan for the kids. Their garlic Naan is bright and colorful! It was recommended that we try the buffet, which is what this restaurant is really known for, so we'll be back to give that a go! read more
