Best place for my Mom We moved my mom in more than 2 years…read moreago right after the place opened. She came from another assisted living that was part of a big chain and was horrible. This place brand new and is really bright and beautiful, the food is way better than others. It was about the same price as others. Everyone seemed friendly and the best thing was the owners were there every day . Originally she had a really nice little one bed apartment on the AL side. But then dementia started to take hold so she was moved to the memory care. They keep more of an eye on them in memory care I slept better at night knowing she was in this place, it was really nice, extremely secure,clean and above all she was happy there. Which really made me happy because she absolutely hated the one she was in before. My mom passed away last week and I couldn't believe how many people from this place called or texted me to give condolences. They really care. i thank them all for taking care of my mom

It was named in honor of Tracy Gee, who was brutally murdered 35 years ago during a carjacking gone wrong. The purpose of the center is all about ensuring her legacy so that it remains a positive impact to the community. Open 6 days a week, the center offers a number of multi-purpose spaces from meetings to events and community gatherings. There are areas for study and also dedicated facilities for sports and recreational activities, which include a basketball court, a gymnasium, and an indoor playing field. They also host a number of local programs aimed at educational and cultural awareness, fitness and wellness, youth and family activities, as well as community meetings and events to oster civic engagement and cultural exchange. I've attended various meetings and also participated in various community events that have taken place in this very building. I have always appreciated that the staff working here is welcoming to all and truly embody all things community.

I was very impressed that there were a lot of activities going on in other areas of the building as we had our Sorority Chapter meeting. That was a plus for me. Our Chapter meeting was informative. But non residents paid a lot more as we noticed standing in line. It is perfect for our 7 and 1 year old. And adults alike. We tried the snow cones and they were old school delicious. Also tried the hot dog and it hit the spot after swimming. The only thing is we wished there were more loungers and umbrellas. The lifeguards were young but professional. It's pretty broken up for individual needs there is a shallow area for kids, a tall slide for older kids, diving board and a Lap pool. Bathrooms and showers. We will be back!

Houston and the rest of the country could use more places like The Ronald McDonald House. I…read morerecently went on a tour of the facility as a potential volunteer and I was blown away by what they do. The Ronald McDonald House is an extremely low cost ($25/day) facility for families of pediatric patients undergoing treatment in the Texas Medical Center. The facility provides housing to patients who are undergoing treatment at several hospital including MD Anderson, Texas Children's, Memorial Hermann, etc... Priority housing is given to patients undergoing cancer treatment, but many different families stay here. This is so much more than a long term hotel. There are community rooms, computer access, playrooms, outdoor playgrounds, community kitchens, laundry facilities, and more! They even have special kitchens for transplant patients to store their food. Most days of the week, volunteers bring and serve food to families staying here. Best part of the whole place? The house dog, Mogie. Mogie was running around, playing with kids, and was putting a smile on everyone's face. Pet therapy is so important for patients and their families. Mogie was so cute, I wanted to scoop him up and bring him home with me! For $175 a week, a family can stay here, get free shuttle service to/from hospitals, and enjoy many free catered meals. I can't imagine how important a facility like this is when you are from out of town and your family is devastated by a life threatening medical diagnosis. I can't wait to start volunteering here! My mother-in-law went to the Gardens Of Bellaire for rehabilitation right out of the hospital. We…read morewere very happy with the rehabilitation side of the facility. When she had completed her rehabilitation or shall we say our insurance would stop paying for it, we decided to go for into the memory care unit of the Gardens Of Bellaire. What a mistake. There was a woman on my mother-in-law's floor who would always come into my mother-in-law's room and lay down in her bed. None of the staff did anything permanent to stop the problem, even though we complained constantly. About an hour before every meal they would cram everyone into a tiny TV room so that they could get everything ready for the meal. Literally wheelchairs were almost on top of each other. The general manager Jackie, was very rude and showed that she cared very little For those of been placed in her care. The nurses were very nice and that is the only good thing I can say about this facility. The good things that I observed about Bellaire Gardens are the following. The folks in assisted living looked very happy! Since my mother-in-law was in memory care she did not get to interact with these residents. I did however see them and speak with them and was told that the food was good. I also observed that the activities director was very engaging and that many of the assisted living residents participated in the various activities,. I noted they were especially happy when Bellaire Air Gardens brought in musicians and singers to entertain! I had a sense, that everyone in the assisted-living program, was one big happy family!

My wife had to go into a skilled nursing facility for rehab after a couple of weeks in a hospital…read morefor an infection. She entered the Gardens of Bellaire on a gurney and couldn't walk, slept 20+ hours each day and had just gotten rid of the infection. She left the facility 2.5 weeks later in a wheelchair but able to walk a very long distance using a walker plus she could now take care of all her personal needs by herself. The staff is awesome. The Director of Nursing Stephanie Gonzales always had time to talk to me about policies and procedures and how to make the time there as effective as possible. Both Jennifers on staff were also extremely helpful in making my wife's care the best it could be. Charlotte handled most of the daily routines for my wife and she was the most caring person you could hope to have their for your family member. Many other staff members were also helpful and always cheerful. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff were really good at what they do. They amended the program to what my wife was able to do but they pushed her beyond the simple things to get her as strong as possible during the stay. We had chosen this facility because of friends experiences there with family members. I would highly recommend it to anyone I know as well. I spent a significant amount of time with my wife at this facility and saw how they operate first hand. Of course there were occasional hiccups when the staff was busy at meal times but overall it was as best we could expect. Thanks to everyone there for making a difficult necessity a wonderful and effective experience.

They hosted several food trucks and it made it so easy to be able to sit and eat. The inside was nicely designed too, great room for presentations and a couple of restrooms too.

My Grandsons Graduation was held here it was a very nice stadium, I was impressed with all the…read morepolice officers there, directing traffic and controlling the amount of people and very helpful towards the crowd. The field was well kept and the seats and bleachers were all clean. You could see that the parking lots were being circled around by the officers to make sure no one's car was broken into.

Finding the entrance was a little confusing when I was parking but there's plenty of signs showing…read moreyou the right way. The staff here is very attentive, open minded, and kind. I really appreciate how included I was in my teenagers mental health because I truly want the best for him. They offer both virtual and physical appointments which is wonderful for people like me with hectic schedules. The entire building was very clean and I enjoyed all of the wall art and decor they had around. There's lots of hand painted murals!
