I randomly ended up at The Pour House Pub on a Friday night. I don't often go out in Stafford, but I partied with some friends who live in the area. Later on in the night, we decided to stop by The Pour House Pub for a drink. The Pour House is located in a shopping center next to a pizza joint so parking shouldn't be a problem. Better yet, you can order pizza from the bar. The Pour House is your typical neighborhood sports bar. It's casual, with an outdoor patio, a long bar, TVs, and some tabletop seating. Plus some pool tables. Service was good but nothing really stood out to me. The biggest turn off was that you can smoke indoors here. Even the bartender was smoking. Not a fan. read more

I have been here a few times and have really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. You can shoot pool, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a nice strong drink or an ice cold beer. The bartenders have always been friendly, and they will make sure your drink is exactly the way you want it. I have always been pleased with the selection of alcohol, and if I choose to have a beer, it has always been ice cold. Beer drinkers understand the importance of an ice cold beer. Other menu items include pizza, hamburgers, chicken tenders, nachos.... It's your typical bar food, and it's delicious. If you are a pool player, you may be interested in a tournament. This place is always jumping with die hard pool players. Many come with their own stick, so bring your "A" game if you step up to the table. I am not a pool player, but I do enjoy watching others play. I love how they point to the ball, and then tell you what pocket they will sink the ball into. It's awesome when the ball actually hits that pocket! I have learned to enjoy the simple things in life, and pool is enjoyable. Pros: free play arcade games, pretty cheap pitchers of beer (including Fat Tire and Blue Moon), great staff, a huge screen for watching sports, pool tables, a very big space. Cons: Forgot I was in Stafford until I realized that people were smoking in the bar (they even sell cigarettes in the vending machine inside). I know this would be a draw for some people, but as a person who gets headaches from the smell of cigarette smoke, I might choose not to return for this reason. Definitely divey, but if you don't mind cigarette smoke, it's a pretty cool place to grab a beer. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The owner is completely rude to the black customers that come in the bar. I noticed the recent time it happened that the owner was intoxicated and aggressive. I have been to pourhouse several times and I have witnessed it several times. I have seen several people drunk to the point of being violent and it seems to be no problem for the bartenders or owner, but the presence of black people is a problem here. Came here with a few friends last night. Most of us live in the SL/MoCity area and wanted a place that wasn't too far. My friend passes this place all the time so we decided to give it a try. The space is pretty nice. Ample tvs all around and a huge projection screen in the main room. Pool tables and arcade games scattered around. I love darts and was pleased to find they have dartboards in the back! Just ask a bartender for the darts. Other entertainment: Shuffleboard, 2x4 Jenga set, XBox, and even saw a few Connect 4 sets behind the bar, which is sure to be interesting with a couple drinks in you. It wasn't very crowded when I went. Everyone was pretty friendly and just having a good time. There's also a patio if you prefer lounging outdoors. The bartenders were great. Very friendly and quick on the drinks. Like other reviewers mentioned, the drink prices are decent and the quality is good. Did not have any food so can't say anything about that. I came here to hang with some friends and watch one of the basketball games. The place is fairly new so everything was clean inside. TVs were all around the bar with a fair amount of pool tables and a couple of old school arcades with free play. There was a projection screen on one of the walls with the game being projected. It's pretty big so I found this to be pretty awesome. The drinks here are pretty cheap. They offer this wristband special that costs $5 for a wristband and $1 for each domestic after that. If you end up drinking a lot, it's a pretty good deal. The bartender was pretty good with getting our drinks on time so I was pretty impressed with the amount of people she had to serve. Also, there is a small restaurant next door so the bar allows you to order through them. If you get hungry, this can be pretty convenient. I'm not exactly sure what the restaurant offers but I do know, among other things, they offer pizza. Since I had a pretty large group, the staff allowed us a pool table with unlimited play. The pool tables are bar size so they're a little small but I still played some good games. Overall, this is an above average bar in Stafford that I'd definitely go to again. With good prices, lots of entertainment, and an awesome staff, what more can you ask for? read more

I think it's funny how alot of reviews complain about the smoke when that's one of the main reasons my friends go. Personally, I'm not a smoker and I don't mind it at all. The drinks are cheap and strong, the crowd is good, the staff is friendly, and the bands are loud. Oh, and the arcade machines are on Free Play. Even karaoke nights are pretty fun. So I first came here when I was looking for a good place to have a drink in this area, I wasn't so sure after reading reviews regarding the smoke, but I will say I've been pleasantly surprised to see that the smoke has not affected me much at all. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, and it's a nice place for a drink that has a good selection of drinks. if you ask, they will generally be able to provide, or suggest an alternative . The owner is an avid pool shark, so the tables here are decently sized and have good felt. If you're a billards player, this is an excellent place to come. There's also a pizza place and an ice cream shop that's connected to the bar. The wings they have are perhaps the best wings I've had in a long time, with the hottest sauce actually managing to beat me, where most places I can eat the hottest wing sauce without trouble. This place had me eating four out of five of their hottest and then going to the ice cream shop. I will recommend this place to anyone. The bartenders are friendly, the bar's atmosphere itself is clean and usually has patrons that are respectful to others. I honestly have little to no complaints about the location. Highly do NOT recommend to go here. This past week I went there for the first time and I was sexually harassed there and no one did nothing. The guy decided to also steal my phone, which I told the bartender about and she did nothing. I continued to throw a whole fit twice in front of the customers and worker's and I'm assuming you know my response. When I called them before doing the review they were sympathetic only because he did not want the bad review but the worker that was there that night was on the phone as well and decided to switch her story that she did not see anything happen after confronted by the manager. They also caught it on camera and could not give me any information on the guy because they do not have the proper equipment. I'm disgusted with this place, and I usually don't give reviews unless mistreated--discrimination at a all time high. I was told by the owner that I was not allowed in their business because of my attire. When I asked the bartender to be more specific, she stated it was my white shirt. I then pointed out several other customers in the bar with white shirts on dress code as well, and her response was, "it's the owners' discretion." My guest and I are Black Americans. I don't think I can add anything that anyone else has posted. Pretty much every review is spot on. Yes, it's a dive. Yes, they allow smoking. My daughter likes the place because of that. Smoke doesn't agree with me so I don't like it but I can tolerate it in small doses. People are usually nice and ask if it bothers me and when I say yes, they move over a spot or two. It's a great place for a beer or two and a shot or two. The cherry bomb was the bomb! I like starfuckers too. And I can get a craft beer! (usually Love Street) There are the usual accoutrements, pool tables and bad karoake and sports paraphernalia and big TVs. It's dark-ish with a fair bit of neon. The bartenders are lovely and sweet. I like the tall, svelte brunette, my bf likes the bosomy blonde. If you want good service, TIP THEM. Works for me. A WARNING - first time I went there, I turned into the wrong driveway, one right in front of the one for the parking lot for the strip center. Narrow and dark and unlit I drove down it looking for a place to turn around rather than back out. There is a huge-ass hole in the pavement in the corner, I drove right into it. Had to call a wrecker to pull me out. Cost me around $700 out of pocket to repair the damage to my car (new tires, alignment/balance, and a new fender). Nice little neighborhood bar. It's got lots of pool tables and a huge projection screen. The jukebox is freeplay, so that's nice. I usually go on Saturday nights and wish they would get some kind of entertainment in there on those nights. A couple of years ago, they used to have bands or karaoke, but I haven't seen anything lately. It's still a nice place to have a cheap drink. Since I live so close, it's usually my first choice to go out for a drink. The staff is usually pretty nice, but it seems that every other time I go there, there's a different bartender. Okay, so during the week this place opens at 3 pm. They have what they call "happy, happy hour" until 5 pm. During that time, they have decent domestic beer and shot prices. After five, there isn't really a reason to patronize this establishment unless you want to be consumed by cigarette smoke. So today, I arrived here at 5 pm which is their opening time on the weekends. The pictures that I've posted are what I found in the men's room at the opening time. Obviously, someone felt poorly the night before and threw up all over the men's room. It was filthy and disgusting. If the management of this hole doesn't care enough to clean the restrooms, he doesn't want my business. He's not going to get it either. Absolutely disgusting. Oh, there won't be anyone available to clean the bathrooms until 10 pm. By the way, they serve food here so I would recommend that you don't eat here if this bathroom is any indication of the cleanliness of this place. I've only been here a few times before but trust me, I'm never going back. read more

Free pool on Saturdays and Sunday's! Can't beat that! Also there are rotating drinks specials everyday of the week. The only downside is the smoking inside but the really high ceilings make it much better. Bartender was very attentive and came to our pool table to get our multiple drink orders. For what I spend in a night in midtown/downtown ($100-$250) I can get a whole lot more at the Pour House. The drinks are reasonably priced, but not watered down. The staff is really knowledgeable about their products and is always ready with a good recommendation. There is something here for beer drinkers also. They serve your choice of draft beer in a mini pitcher. It's the highest legal amount of beer that they can serve one person. I always get a little pitcher of Guinness, cause I hate to share. There is always something going on here; league poker, karaoke, or league pool tournaments. And if all else fails, you can sit at the bar and chat with Sam or Brandi! read more

My friend aptly described it as a clean dive bar. Cheap pitchers. Tons of games, including pool, air hockey, foosball, giant jenga, shuffleboard, darts and even board games. Giant projector is perfect for Astros or Rockets games. They're also paired up with the pizza place next door that keeps their kitchen open until 3AM for deliveries. I came here one night after work with a group of friends (6 of us) to watch an MLS match that was playing live that night. My friends had recommended the place as they been there many times and since it was close to our office we decided to go there. We came during a night they were having a poker tournament, as the place was quite crowded, however, there was still plenty of seating at the bar. It seemed like a great place to go (well, when there wasn't a poker tournament going on) and the bar tenders were quick and friendly. Drinks were cheap as well. We were there for about 30 minutes and having a great time when the owner of the bar changed the channel of the soccer match to "World's Dumbest Videos". We figured he just didn't want the soccer match playing on the big projector, which was fine with us, so we nicely asked another staff member (since the owner had walked away) if it was okay to just have the game playing on ONE of the three LCD TV's at the bar. Since no one was watching anything on the TVs (as there was a poker tournament on), and as we had came there specifically to watch the game, we figured this was a reasonable request, not to mention we were also paying customers (and we were the only ones at the bar actually watching the TVs). The guy then told the owner about our request but he just shrugged it off. So when the owner eventually walked by our group, we asked him ourselves if he wouldn't mind putting the game back onto just ONE of the TV's and that we didn't care that it wasn't on the projector. He exclaimed that he was "soccered out from the world cup" and that "this isn't a sport's bar" (although he was quick to mention it was a pub - apparently he's not aware where pubs are from). We were all a little shocked by his response, so we asked again that we would just like the game on ONE TV (out of the many they had there) and again, that we didn't care that it wasn't playing on the giant projector. He continued to refuse, so we asked him if this was how he treated his paying customers. He then threatened to CALL THE POLICE since he said we were arguing (no one from our group was belligerent, yelling, or threatening in any way), which we weren't, we were just in complete disbelief that he was treating his customers this way. What business owner threatens to call the police when their paying customers make a simple and reasonable request? What a joke. We told him we were leaving, paid our tab and left. Oh, and what was playing on the TVs? World's Dumbest Videos, a re-run of an LA/Boston playoff game, and Border Patrol. It's not like he switched it to some awesome live event that everyone wanted to watch. No one was watching the TVs. The owner has serious issues. It's a shame, since my friends had been there many times and really enjoyed the pub and the staff are very friendly. The staff even apologized to us as we were paying and said the situation was ridiculous. It seems even his own employees don't like him. Needless to say, he's lost 6 repeat customers and countless others since we're all from a business just down the street. Go somewhere else - don't give this guy any of your money. read more

The best nights are Monday and Tuesday if you have their pint glasses (purchased there)..you can get a brew really cheap and listen to karaoke and/or play pool and listen to music. I've visited the Pour House Pub 5 times, the service is fast and friendly and there are so many pool tables to choose from, so playing a game is never an issue. The drinks are always cold and I love that I can order delicious food from the pizza place next door.
