We just ate here for the 1st time for my in-laws 42nd wedding anniversary. They are from India and have been wanting to eat here since this place opened. From 1st impressions it doesn't look like much from the outside, a red single family house that must have been renovated a long time ago. ( I've lived in Webster for a while and honestly didn't know this was here lol) the parking lot is huge so no need to worry about finding parking and they have a nice handicap ramp. The inside is totally different, though not that big, it had nice hardwood floors, a cozy seating area, a fireplace in the middle of the dining area and traditional Indian decor to and religious relics to make dining there an enjoyable experience When we stepped we were greeted immediately and seated immediately, granted we were the only ones there lol, the gentleman who was the only one working was our server and cook and he was extremely pleasant and patient with us when we ordered. The food was excellent, I ordered the Beef Curry, my fiancee ordered the Tandori Chicken for the table and myself and my father in law ordered the Sula wine to go with, I never had indian wine before but now I highly recommend trying this In conclusion I highly recommend this place, and I wish I would've dined here sooner, this restaurant has so much potential and space (maybe an area for outside seating in the future) for becoming a staple in the Webster and Indian Community and I hope it continues to grow and do well!

So good. Just as good as any of the other India House locations. This location used to be PhuKet (sp?) so it's small. Weirdly shaped restaurant. They don't appear to have many tables set up for in-house service - but we had no issue getting a table. You can tell they just opened - slow wait staff, with not many people eating in the restaurant. A steady stream of take-out patrons coming and in and out though. Food was fantastic. Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Makni, Naan and Chana Masala for our table. Masala tea. We devoured our meal. Food was fantastic. Our favorite India House restaurant is on Clinton near Goodman - but this food is just as good. Welcome addition to Webster. The only downfall was we sat at the table closest to the front door. I was freezing.. door opening and closing and I realized (at the end of dinner) that there was a draft coming from the power outlet near my legs. Tough seat in the winter in Rochester! We will probably be back - Most definitely for take-out! Yum.

Food came in containers that made it look like they were microwaved meals. Like a microwave dinner type of thing. Wouldn't go back.

(14.99 per person)Would be fantastic for lunch breaks and meetings. I chose a buffet because my BF had never eaten Indian food. I wanted him to try a little bit of anything. He thought it was good. He tried everything, but he wasn't overly impressed. He is also a huge meat and potatoes guy. I really didn't expect him to impressed. I just enjoyed seeing him try something new. I am from another area, that had amazing Indian food. The Indian Buffett, I am used to, is very large and the restaurant was always filled with Indian people, which is rare was because people from India, very rarely go out to eat their homeland food. I think it spoiled me. Because this was not even close. But also the price was half of what I would have paid. I was happy with it, to satisfy a craving. But I am going to try other Indian restaurants to compare. It's a great deal, and if you are unsure if you like Indian food, this is a good way to try a little bit of something, to see if the flavors are for you, without spending a lot of money. Makes me wonder if their dinner and weekend selections are different, hmmm! That thought literally just came to me. lol I did feel like it was more for vegetarians, and I highly recommend it for Vegetarians. Many of the foods were meat free. The rest were all chicken. The service was excellent. They were very nice, and it is owned by a small business was owner from Nepal. I love supporting our local immigrant businesses, as well as black owned businesses. I enjoyed it, and will go back. But this is my first Indian restaurant I've tried in Rochester, so I have no idea how it compares to the others in the area. I also might go back and order off the menu. I would have loved a biryani. Maybe some goat if on the menu. Also, I may have missed it, but I do not recall seeing anything sweet. India has some amazing sweet treats. The restaurant was lovely, its decorations were pretty and on point. I loved our table, we had a small table away from others and by the window. It gave it more of a lunch date vibe. We had fun. Our server was very nice, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. It's a nice place and I recommend giving it a try. After long days of classes and late nights studying, their food was always something to look forward to. The flavors were consistently rich and authentic, with curries that were warming, filling, and perfectly spiced. Even now, I still remember how reliably satisfying every meal was, which says a lot years later.

Dont let a bite go to waste. Also dont skip on dessert. I wish I could tell you the name of what I ordered but it was a pistachio and rose water kind of wet cake with a cream sauce? Im not doing it justice, but it was so dang good. Thanks Thali of India for your phenomenal service, fantastic flavors, and overall great experience!

The late-summer weather was perfect, and it was a wonderful spot to dine outdoors. One thing we always appreciate is the complimentary self-serve chai. It's rich, decadent, and almost buttery, making it a great way to start the meal. We began with the Veggie Samosas, and they were fantastic. The pastries arrived piping hot with a crisp, flaky exterior and a flavorful filling of potatoes, peas, and spices. The dipping sauce really put them over the top. Next was the Chana Masala, which remains our favorite dish on the menu. The chickpeas were tender and packed with flavor, while the rich onion-tomato gravy had just the right balance of tanginess and spice. We could easily eat a whole bowl of this on its own. We also tried the Dal Makhni, a new dish for us. We're still fairly new to Indian cuisine, so we weren't exactly sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. Rich, creamy, and incredibly comforting, it had a wonderful depth of flavor. The lentils were perfectly cooked, and the spices were subtle and well balanced. We happily used every last piece of naan to scoop up the sauce. The naan itself was soft, warm, and wonderfully pillowy. A small detail we loved was the presentation. The food was served in charming metal dishes that added character to the meal and looked great on the table. Check out the photo! With excellent service, delicious food, complimentary chai, and a relaxing patio, Himalayan Kitchen continues to be one of our favorite places to eat. Whether we're ordering takeout or dining in, it never disappoints, and we'll definitely keep coming back.

Himalayan Kitchen in Webster did a really impressive job capturing that essence! The Butter Chicken sauce was absolutely outstanding--rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. While it's made with chicken breast instead of thighs, the taste more than made up for it. I paired it with rice and garlic naan, which complemented the dish beautifully. The only thing I wished for was a side of lentils to round out the meal. My husband ordered the chicken and shrimp chow mein, and he said it was one of the best he's ever had--high praise! And the samosas? Simply AMAZING. Crispy, flavorful, and definitely a must-order. On top of the delicious food, the service was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be back!
