We were celebrating my Daughter's 19th Birthday; it's one of her favorite restaurants. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, courteous, and welcoming. And I absolutely love the ambience of the restaurant. We ordered, Mango Lassi, Chicken Butter Masala, Butter Naan, Chilli Chicken and Basmati Rice Special thanks to Savio who took excellent care of us. Savio surprised us at the end of the meal and brought out a dessert with a candle in it so we could sing Happy Birthday to our daughter. What we ordered: Chicken Butter Masala: Boneless Chicken cooked in a silky tomato gravy with a hint of spices and fresh herbs, topped with a dollop of butter or cream. Chilli Chicken: Deep fried chicken tossed in house made manchurian sauce. Butter Naan and Basmati Rice.

We were in Rochester for a wedding and we're craving Indian food for dinner. We found Hyderabad Biriyani House and decided to try it out. When we arrived we were promptly seated and the service was good. We ordered the Masala Dosa which was hot and crunchy and filled with spicy potatoes with several sauces for dipping. Next we ordered the Shrimp Biriyani which was very flavorful especially with the Rata sauce. We also ordered the Butter Chicken which was also delicious. All in all this was a very good Indian restaurant. Pro Tip you can customize the level of spiciness of the food.

Hydera-bad? More like hydera-mazingly delicious. I had a dosa craving and this place was 5 minutes away from my mom's apartment. We were seated and brought cold sodas and water while we looked over the menu. I knew I wanted dosa and idly. Mom wanted a dosa too so instead of two regular dosas we decided to share the large. But we didn't know the large would be so... large. We were brought a massive dosa, hot and fresh and tasty, with tons of Sambar and chutney. The idly came out a few minutes later and was steamed to perfection. The restaurant loses a star because the service was terrible. It was Hydera-really-bad. For a bit-busy-at-all Saturday evening, we shouldn't have taken that long to be seated or given soda cans. I'd be back, but I'd know to expect quite a wait

4.5 stars. This restaurant had not opened when I was living in Rochester and I really wish it had. This is the only authentic biryani I've had there! We came here on a week night but had reservations. Good thing because it was quite full! While they call themselves biryani house, they have south Indian cuisine primarily, some north Indian curries and the Biryanis. We ordered the Kodi vepudu (chicken vepudu), the Hyderabadi dum goat and chicken biryanis. They take time to get the orders in, so it allows you to actually have a conversation with your group. The vepudu was very good but too oily. That is the reason I give them 4.5 stars. Everything about it other than that was amazing! Spicy, masaledar and well-cooked as far as the chicken goes. This is definitely a dish for spice lovers. The biryanis were excellent! We ordered a spice level of 6, which I (who LOVES spice and always goes for highest) actually thought was decently spicy!! I didn't need to add any raita to calm it down. My brother, who took a 7 on the goat biryani, thought that was a little more spicy than he liked, so may be that would be the perfect level for me. Both biryanis were delicious. The rice was nice and separate. The meat (both goat and chicken) was really cooked well and the spice and flavors had seeped through it all. Quantities were great. We shared a biryani between two people and still didn't finish it. All in all, really happy with this place and will visit when I come back to Rochester!

Garlic Naan and Samosa (came with two)

I was craving biryani so this seemed like the natural place to go. I ordered a to go order and it was ready within 15 minutes for pick up. I got the Chicken Dum Biryani, which comes with a chicken thigh in saffron rice, a hard boiled egg half, and delicious Biryani spices (strong flavor of mint). The portion was huge and enough for a second meal later. The rice was delicious and the chicken meat so tender. I also got garlic naan and samosas and they were equally yummy. You can't really go wrong with naan! It had a lot of garlic and was chewy in just the right way. The samosas were big and filled with potato and peas and cane with a mint chutney (I think) and hotter red dipping sauce. The exterior of the samosa was a thicker wrapping than I've had before but I liked it a lot. I had a great lunch with huge portions and will definitely order from here again!

Chicken dum biryani, spicy level 7/10 - exactly what I like!

It was my first visit and I got takeout. I waited for a little over 20 minutes after I placed the order at the restaurant. They asked me how spicy I wanted for the chicken dum biryani and suggested 7 out of 10 when I said the max. It truly didn't disappoint. For me, it was the perfect level because I drank some cold milk afterwards to appease my mouth but I didn't sweat or get uncomfortable. You get a whole chicken leg and a mountain of rice for 15 after tax. It lasted for 4 meals. For the flavor, quality, and the amount of food, I couldn't complain. I'll try dine-in next time and other dishes.

Decided to Visit Hyderabad on a whim. Had a group of us walking by and they closed for a couple of hours between services. Dinner started at 5 so we were there to give it a shot. Upon entering the decor is a little bland. It feels like they are still getting it together so I may get better in the future. Will note that the bathrooms need some attention...for real. But they are usable. I'm speaking for the men's room only here. But enough about that on to the FOOD! So where the restaurant is a little bland on the inside the food most certainly is not! I'm not a native to the cuisine but I understand why there was a bunch of natives to Indian cuisine eating! The food packed the punch of flavor you'd expect. It was sweet, it was spicy, it was fresh, it was aromatic and got the umami flavor. I love Naan and theirs was soooo good. I still like Naan-Tastic Naan better but they have a close close second. Final verdict: I wouldn't mind dinning in again, I would probably do take out and hopefully their food can travel well. But yes I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for food and AUTHENTIC INDIAN CUISINE!

This place is AMAZING. I have seen it so many times while driving by but never tried it until now. Was feeling in the mood for it and was right around the corner. I used the DoorDash pickup option and it was ready about 10 minutes before the estimated pickup time (I showed up a little too early and didn't expect it to be done)!! The inside is very nice, very clean. Saw some reviews about wait time or bad service but I literally stood there for maybe 30 seconds before someone saw me and popped right over to serve me. Food was DELISH! Literally so good. I got the Chana Masala Curry (made with Chickpeas) and Garlic Naan. Just perfect all around. The curry had so much yummy flavor, just the right amount of spice without being TOO spicy. The Naan was also super flavorful. Went so well with my curry. I moved away from the area and was only back visiting- but next time I'm around I will definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommend!!

Putting in a couple appetizers, we opted in for the kibbeh, baba ghanouj, and manakeesh (za'atar w. cheese). The kibbeh was seasoned and fried perfectly. The baba ghanouj was creamy and accompanied with a very nice and airy pita bread, and the manakeesh was wonderful. It reminded me of a sauceless cheese pizza with the middle eastern spices. For mains, we opted in for the Mashawi which included a trio of meats. Kofta, beef kabob and chicken. All three meats were nicely seasoned, but the star meat for us was the kofta. The side of hummus was nice, and the salad was nicely seasoned even before pouring the dressing over it. Also opting in for the lamb chops, I found these to be perfectly grilled and incredibly tender. These were grilled closer to a medium-well, but still remained juicy and packed full of flavor. We found our server and the kitchen employee (perhaps the owner) to be pleasant and full of hospitality. This small-from-the-outside restaurant blew us away and we enjoyed everything we had. We look forward to returning in the near future to try other items on their menu.

I wasn't wanting to eat a whole platter of them, so I just stuck with the plate. After sitting down, they brought me a dolma, free of charge. That was unexpected and very thoughtful. The dolma was delicious! The kebabs seemed a bit dry but the flavor was great. I was under the impression it came with pita bread, but I never received any. No biggie, as I was not starving. All in all a good experience with good food. I will make one recommendation, there are 2 doors to get into the restaurant. The restaurant was clean, but in between the 2 doors, was pretty dirty with a lot of debris in the corner as you walk out. Definitely 4 stars, but cooked a little bit differently and the floor swept at the entrance, would have been 5 stars. Oh well, I'd go back though!

I've never ordered anything I don't like, and I generally don't order the same thing twice. Easily the best food in walking distance from RIT. Service is always excellent, ambiance is always great. I don't typically go for the buffets but the buffet prices are also fantastic, but dining by regular sit-down or take out isn't terribly expensive. (14.99 per person)Would be fantastic for lunch breaks and meetings. I chose a buffet because my BF had never eaten Indian food. I wanted him to try a little bit of anything. He thought it was good. He tried everything, but he wasn't overly impressed. He is also a huge meat and potatoes guy. I really didn't expect him to impressed. I just enjoyed seeing him try something new. I am from another area, that had amazing Indian food. The Indian Buffett, I am used to, is very large and the restaurant was always filled with Indian people, which is rare was because people from India, very rarely go out to eat their homeland food. I think it spoiled me. Because this was not even close. But also the price was half of what I would have paid. I was happy with it, to satisfy a craving. But I am going to try other Indian restaurants to compare. It's a great deal, and if you are unsure if you like Indian food, this is a good way to try a little bit of something, to see if the flavors are for you, without spending a lot of money. Makes me wonder if their dinner and weekend selections are different, hmmm! That thought literally just came to me. lol I did feel like it was more for vegetarians, and I highly recommend it for Vegetarians. Many of the foods were meat free. The rest were all chicken. The service was excellent. They were very nice, and it is owned by a small business was owner from Nepal. I love supporting our local immigrant businesses, as well as black owned businesses. I enjoyed it, and will go back. But this is my first Indian restaurant I've tried in Rochester, so I have no idea how it compares to the others in the area. I also might go back and order off the menu. I would have loved a biryani. Maybe some goat if on the menu. Also, I may have missed it, but I do not recall seeing anything sweet. India has some amazing sweet treats. The restaurant was lovely, its decorations were pretty and on point. I loved our table, we had a small table away from others and by the window. It gave it more of a lunch date vibe. We had fun. Our server was very nice, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. It's a nice place and I recommend giving it a try. This review is for the buffet thus I cannot attest to the a la carte options. Pro: unlimited chai. Con: somewhat small selection of menu for which the food was not particularly memorable, mostly oily. Service was otherwise ok. for those not exposed much to Nepali/Indian food, a good option to pique your tastebuds. For those experienced with Nepali-Indian, quite watered in flavor, too and too much sugar in their savory dishes. Chai: the only good thing amongst their dishes to be honest. Would rather spend my buffet money sitting here drinking this for 2 hours reading a book and just skip the meal. The butter chicken had too much sugar. This seems to be a trend across the US in American-Indian buffets catering to the American taste buds. This was disappointing but at least the sauce was fun to dip for your naan. Chick pea dish- a curry like dish with bell pepper undertows. Fried fish dish- think a fish fry with some veggies. Definitely a heavier dish. Fried rice- an ok dish as well. I ate here tonight and everything was genuinely delicious. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and asked for it spicy. It delivered ~ bold flavor, a nice kick, and a rich, creamy tomato sauce that tasted fresh and well balanced. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked and made the ideal base for soaking up every last bit of sauce. And I have to say it: the garlic naan might be the best I've ever had. The garlic wasn't just sprinkled on top, it felt like it was tucked into the folds of the bread, so every bite had that buttery, garlicky goodness. I kept dipping it into the tikka masala until the bowl was basically spotless. I also had hot chai, and it was outstanding. So good I ordered a second cup. What I ordered: * Chicken Tikka Masala ($19.99) ~ Boneless chicken cooked with onion, green peppers, tomato sauce, and cream * Plain Basmati Rice ($5.99) * Garlic Naan ($5.99) ~ Topped with garlic and cilantro Good to know: This restaurant is tucked in the back of the grocery store. When you walk in, you'll see a comfortable seating area up front with booths and tables. It's a great setup for a lunch meeting, a casual dinner, or a quick bite before heading home.
