Dr. Gulinson has been my family's vet for over 10 years. She and her exemplary team always go above and beyond to provide excellent care to all of my cats. On my most recent visit, Dr. Gulinson was out of town but her colleague Dr. Howton covered for her and was just as professional and empathetic as Dr. Gulinson. The front desk team member Megan spent almost an hour calling animal veterinary hospitals to try to get my very sick cat an appointment. Of course this happened just before a holiday weekend. My BBF, Peanuts, The Wonder Dog, has been my constant companion for the past 2 1/2 years . Is he spoiled of course, that what concerned parents do! This is my second visit. I was actually allowed inside this time. The Vet is AWESOME. She and herStaff focused 100% on Peanuts. Small Dogs like mine have hip issues ! They are monitoring him for a week. Sent me home with Meds he sets 1/2 pill each day for a week. To say I am impressed does not do justice to this Animal Friendly Practice. We had a horrible experience here. The vet tech cornered our dog who is occasionally aggressive (which we told them ), approached him too rapidly and got bitten, then shouted "F***!!" with my 8 year old child in the room. This vet then reported our dog to county animal control who nearly took our dog away, but after a home visit allowed him to quarantine at home for 14 days. This all because he was 1 day past due on his annual rabies shot. The eye issue we took him there for was never even addressed, and the eye specialist they referred us to blacklisted us and wouldn't even see us after this vet reported our dog to them. Thanks a lot for all the headaches. I can't NOT recommend this vet enough. Don't blame your patients for the bad judgement and inexperience of your vet techs, then report us to the county and blacklist us with other vets. My dogs have been patients here since 1998 and I've always thought that it was the best care anywhere. When the previous vet told me that she was selling the practice and moving to Australia, I was skeptical about the new vet/owner, but she's great. The stalwarts of the office are vet techs Shannon and Taryn, who are compassionate and it's been my experience that they go above and beyond. The care is fairly conservative here, as they'll lay out the options for care and not push anything. They've very mindful of the costs and have done things for me over the years that I would consider "value add". I would never hesitate to recommend this clinic. read more

I really like these guys. We have been going to them for about 8 years now. Since my fur daughter is my world I'm incredibly picky on where I take her and who she sees. They understand her needs as well as mine. They make every effort to care for your babies the way you would. It's a bit pricey as with all vets but I've never felt judged on any of the decisions I make when it comes to the health and care of my babies. read more

Very welcoming staff. My French Bulldog had another erection problem and the Dr was able to help my dog without stressing him. For precautions they are allowing him to stay until I get off work at no additional cost to keep an eye on it. I was taught on how to use some ointments if it happens at the house. They found an ear infection and educated me on how to clean properly and tend with solution. While being there I asked about nail trimming and they did it on the spot. Overall GREAT experience & pricing is VERY reasonable. I called several hospitals before and earliest appointment I found was Monday. I called here and yes they were busy but they still made time for Diesel. This place is awesome. read more

My family has used this vet for years and now that I'm an adult with fur babies of my own I went here. They were very friendly. My poor cat urinated on herself and they CLEANED the kennel out for us while we had an appointment. The appointment went well and she took her time listening to everything. I'm a long time client with my 4th animal now at this clinic but today sealed it for me, again. My lab puppy ate half a bottle of very toxic medicine. They answered the phone before opening. They had me come in before Scotti (our vet) was even there. She called poison control for me and sat on the phone waiting for the information, on our behalf. They were so helpful and on top of it. Jager, my 6 year old bull terrier, has been seeing Dr. Allen since he was 10 weeks old. She is nothing short of wonderful. In fact, the entire staff is comprised of the most compassionate people I've ever met, and they truly care about my dog. Over his 6 years, mischievous Jager has gotten himself into some pretty precarious situations (run-ins with cacti, frolicking in broken glass and, of course, attempting to digest shoes and socks). The folks at Indian Bend Animal Hospital always make him good as new, with as little pain (and expense) as possible. The cost is much more reasonable than other similar facilities in the area. As a full-time working single [dog] parent, I really appreciate that they are open on Wednesdays from 4pm to 8 pm. Dr. Allen has always been patient, even with an annoying first-time dog owner such as myself. I can't imagine trusting his care to anyone else. read more

Dr Allen has saved my suicidal rock eater too many times to count! As for my other 7 dogs, they always get top notch care here as well. Prices are slightly below average, but the service is greatly above average. Considering the fact that my sister is a vet and is closer to my home, yet I still choose to bring my dogs here should speak volumes as to the care they receive under Dr. Allen and staff's trusty watch. I have brought 4 of dogs and one cat here treatment. It's obvious that they really care for animals. They Are compassionate and it shows Dr. G and her assistant are fantastic!! I just brought my cat home after a 5 day stay there at the hospital. We are so happy to have moonshine home with us. We had already said goodbye to him. The staff kept me informed about all of my options and went above and beyond to make sure that moonshine got the treatment that was best for his circumstances. Great vet with affordable pricing. She is great with dealing with my sassy cat, who even tried to swipe at her. They have some friendly cats who live there and helped calm down my stressed out cat. She was able to remove my cats teeth after she got feline stomatitis (badly infected gum and teeth rotting out) and basically saved her life. She even left her with 2 front teeth that weren't infected that way not all her teeth were removed and made a good decision. There was no charge for a follow-up. read more

This place came recommended by my neighborhood app and I am glad we went. we took our kitty Nemo in as he has had issues in the past. From calling to make the appointment to after we left nothing but great care. Shannon was so nice on the phone and gave pricing estimates upfront. They were a little behind for appointment but I didn't notice as they had cute cats and dogs in the lobby to pet. The Vet and the assistant were so patient and kind to my scared kitty. Wow, this animal hospital was "awesome". We had to put our German Shepherd to sleep today due to an illness. The Dr. was so compassionate and truly cared for our dog 110%. We were brokenhearted but the Dr. and his asst. made the euthanasia more bearable. I highly recommend this Veterinary Clinic. Our Sammy was treated with dignity in her final hours. This vet was close to home and I had taken my cat in many times. When it came time to put her down I brought her in and it was the most horrifying thing I'd ever seen. The "anesthetic" sent my cat straight up into the air, legs stiff, claws extended and eyes wide open, screaming. I had hysterics and will NEVER bring an animal there. Actually, after that, I will probably never have another animal. Yes, I've had to have other animals put down, never there, and never with that result. Horrible. read more

The doctors and techs at this hospital bar none have been the most caring and compassionate vet I have ever experienced . My dog swallowed the end of a rawhide bone yesterday and I rushed her there hysterical of course. They gave her immediate attention and saved her life . That let me sit with her as she woke up from sedation and also stayed with us as she came to. Dr.Isom was right by our side and couldn't have been more comforting through my hysterical crying. If you are on a fixed income, DON'T go to this vet. She will nickel and dime you to death. My dog is sick with Addison's, but with medicine is fine. She demands to see her every 2 months for blood work. Which is $75.00. I have told this woman I can't afford this. But it is the only way I can get the prescriptions needed to keep my dog healthy. read more

I really wanted to like this animal hospital. I went in with high hopes but unfortunately it just wasn't a good fit for me and my pets. Only went in about three times and each time I was just treated like a client and my dog didn't appear to be anything special to them. Now I realize that vet clinics are busy so sometimes they can't make you feel important/special but the previous vets I have gone to really seem to take the time to get to know you and your pets a bit. This place really didn't seem to go out of their way to do that. The vet was actually somewhat rude as well and didn't seem to believe the information I was giving. They questioned my dog's date of birth even though I had that information directly from the breeder and it was in my pup's records. Then the vet told me I should get an extra distemper/parvo vaccine after the amount recommended for a new puppy. I've never had a vet tell me to do an additional distemper/parvo vaccine three to four weeks after my puppy received all the recommended ones. I'm sure the vet had good intentions but they didn't give a reasoning as to why my pup needed the additional vaccine so it felt more like a ploy for money. The other issue I had was that I never received a phone call the day before reminding me of my appointment. All the previous vet clinics I have been to have called to remind me of my appointment the day before. Indian Bend only called me after I missed my scheduled appointment to remind me I had missed it. That was the turning point for me. I tried to give this vet clinic a chance but it just didn't work out for me. I have since found a new vet clinic and I really love them. The vets and all the staff really go out of their way to make everyone of their clients feel special! read more
