I spent $66 tip included didn't receive any rice with my order after i asked for rice and asked again before i left the store and was assured everything was in there. Not only was all the rice missing but not me of the butter chicken looked like the lid was sliced open and sauce leaked every where. I called and was basically told if i didn't make the drive back to pick up the rice then that was it. Stopped here on the way back from Yosemite. Saw this place close by and decided to have their lunch buffet. One word: delicious. Goat curry was on par with the fancy places. Drinks included with buffet which also had dessert. Selection was adequate but everything was well done. The price $9 including tax made it even better. I've tried all of them, and now I keep coming back here. 8.50 for lunch buffet with a drink, and their soda machine is available for self serve, or the waitress will keep you in soda/water and perfectly cooked Naan (plain or garlic). Friendly people, varied buffet layout, 5 star taste, and great atmosphere. If you have never tried Indian, or think that you don't like it, this is the place to try or try again. If you walk out of here not a fan of Indian food...frankly... your tastebuds are out of whack. My one complaint, which isn't really one, is that there isn't a Dinner buffet. Finally! We have found the best Indian food in Manteca. We recently visited this new establishment and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor. We ordered the butter chicken (very good) chicken tikka masala (pretty good) and the Shrimp saag (excellent) they all had the right texture and creaminess and of course spices. Also we added garlic naan which was perfectly prepared. Additionally each dish came with rice for two so it was a good value at $35 for 4 people. Believe the hype. We were hungry this lunchtime and saw the astonishing Yelp reviews for this place. It was amazing. I'm vegan and the chef came out and told me what I could eat. I went à la carte; my wife went for the buffet. We were both stuffed with delicious Indian food for a fraction of what we would usually spend on a meal. They even had peshwari naan, which is hard to come by in California. Anyway... I can't remember the name of what I had but it was an eggplant and tomato curry of some kind. Do it. We shall return. I've been to this place a coupe of times for lunch buffets and dinner with my family, their food tastes really good. I loved everything I have eaten there so far but Malai Kofta and Garlic Naan are the best. Garlic Naan are so fresh and tasty. At first when I saw all the 5 star reviews I doubted it but this restaurant, Indian Cafe, really deserves it. The samosa was tasty, not greasy. The Garlic Naan, Papdum and Aloo Tiki were all fresh and good. The Tandoori chicken (all dark meat) was excellent. The Raita was just the way I like it, tasty but not overly spicy. In fact in this restaurant mild means mild. The Kheer (dessert) was outstanding. Would definitely eat here again. read more

I really enjoy the food here, however they have now changed to a fully online order which I honestly did not love. If I had questions about the menu I had to find go find someone and if to pay in cash was also difficult since you are prompted to pay when ordering. This also made it difficult to leave a tip since you're made to add it when paying through the online system. I had one of the best experiences here! It was really an 11/10 for me. Let's start with the food. When I saw the assortment for the buffet, I knew it would be well worth the $8.50. Samosas, naan, chicken tikka, goat curry, lamb biryani (!!!) etc. Keep in mind the buffet isn't the only option. You can order off their traditional menu as well. I had the lamb biriyani, and whatever masala they used really did it for me. The chicken tikka masala along with the garlic naan was really good as well. The smell itself was mouthwatering. Finally, the goat curry. What can be said? The goat literally fell off the bone. However, the most pleasant part of this experience wasn't the food actually. It was the service! This place is sooo good! My third time here & i came for the buffet it's from 11-3pm and includes a drink for only $8.50! Can't beat that The food is delicious!!! Each time I've came it's been a couple of the same dishes but i always get to try at least 2-3 new ones that they put out for the buffet. He know how to use spices and isn't afraid to use them when asked. It was not good, my Naan was so dry, it was pre-made like what you buy from Costco. The samosas were very oily with little flavor, the butter chicken sauce was very good but the chicken was rubbery. Not as good as some of the other local restaurants. read more
