When the food arrived, it was brought by a man with kind eyes and an easy smile that made it feel like family. Both of us took our first bite and knew that we had found something special. I had the Butter Chicken Biryani, which was full of warm flavors, and spiced just to my requested level. My companion had the Samosa Chaat, which she said was delicious, fresh and flavorful. Portions were very generous. And the prices were extremely reasonable as well. Before leaving we decided on a dessert of Gulab Jamun, which was the perfect companion to an extraordinary meal. After ordering the dessert, we were offered little sample taster cups of their chai, which I had never tried anywhere before. I now know why people enjoy chai. It is such a full bodied, warm drink with delightfully complex flavors. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting a warm and delicious meal served by a caring and delightful staff.

Food: is below average, some of the items listed where not on the menu Service: the fact that the place was empty, should have been our first sign. Ambience: The air conditioning has apparently been broken for a week. When we asked if there were any fans, we were told they knew about the problem. On the bright side, if you enjoy dining in a sauna, this place has you covered. Even a glass of ice water would have earned a standing ovation--but there wasn't any. We've eaten here before and remembered it being much better, so this was disappointing. Hopefully this was just an off day, but for now we'll be taking our adventures--and our appetite--somewhere cooler.

We ordered idly, baby corn Manchurian, and fried rice. The idly came out quickly, within about 5 minutes. The restaurant was not even busy when we arrived -- barely three tables were occupied, along with a few online orders. More orders started coming in later, and somehow ours was completely forgotten. What made the experience much worse was the attitude of the person/manager(guy wearing spectacles) handling the situation. After we had already waited close to 50 minutes with a hungry toddler, instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, he came over and basically said: "Your rice is coming in 2 minutes. Either take the rice or I'll give you a refund and you can go." Seriously? After making a family with a toddler wait almost an hour because your staff missed the order, the response is essentially take your food or take your refund and leave? Mistakes happen. An order getting missed can happen at any restaurant. The real problem was the complete lack of courtesy, accountability, and basic customer service afterward. A simple sincere apology and respectful handling of the situation would have made a huge difference. Instead, the attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. This was honestly one of the worst customer-service experiences we have had at a restaurant. We were regular customers and came here almost every week. Not anymore. Losing a loyal customer over a missed fried rice order is one thing; losing them because of how rudely you handled your own mistake is another.

Between the Combo for 2 and the Thali for 1, I like the thali for one better as it comes with two small portions of curry and two pieces of grilled chicken. It was better when you could choose your curry options, but now the combo comes with butter chicken and tikka masala chicken. Their butter chicken is good but the Hubbs and I prefer their Khadali Chicken best.
