Ehh came here with my husband for the first time and likely won't be coming back. Pros: Lots of tee time availability, easy to navigate website and booking, on the cheaper side Cons: Tee boxes are torn up, half of the grass on the course is dead, had sprinklers going I. The middle of the fairway during heatwave (which was totally fine) but it created puddles in the middle of the fairway in some areas, greens were tall and very wet from the sprinklers. We wanted to love this place. My husband actually came last year and really enjoyed it. But this year was a different story. Tee boxes have so many chunks missing and are very uneven, much of the grass on the fairway is either dead or missing (causing pockets), and they absolutely drenched the course to the point where there were puddles, mud, and soaking wet greens. It was atrocious. I get there was a heat wave but there seems to be a lack in water drainage that really affected the game. read more

Wonderful course. Every hole has a challenge to it. Never seems to be overcrowded. Played there around 30 times over the last 5 years.

Great course, nice people. they have a restaurant and bar you can relax at. only thing that could be improved is my swing!

If you have a tee time before 10 am, Restaurant and Bar are closed. You're own your own for snacks and beverages. Carts are run down and need maintenance. Fairways are hard pack and dead grass. Restroom on the course hasn't been cleaned in years, and they don't have cart service. We paid $150 for two people and a cart, it wasn't worth it. Driving range is below par also. Before COVID this place was a hidden gem. Now I won't be back! read more

I took my business partners and they are beginners the group behind us didn't like how slow we played and made false reports the Marshall came talked to us and we where good the front desk guy was really rude didn't explain an and kicked us out don't recommend. read more

This course is near my son's house in Estacada, OR. We pulled in late afternoon on a Saturday. They have a sliding green-fee scale based on day, time of day and season; four of us played nine holes, my son paid $110 which included 2 two-wheeled carts and two boxes of balls, not sure of the green fee - pretty good for a Saturday, Aug 1. We had to walk as no carts let out after 5pm. Anyway the staff guy in the pro shop was fantastic, kind, helped me choose a golf glove, and told us we'd probably have the course to ourselves (no one came up behind us, which i like). The pro shop is nicely stocked and i thought prices were reasonable. Stunning view of Mt. Hood on the first fairway and elsewhere. Tee boxes well marked and usually had a picture of the hole layout; there are some nasty doglegs. Course is fairly forgiving for the newcomer. Not much in the way of heavy brush to lose your ball in, at least in the first nine holes. Greens in great shape, but there were some muddy areas on the approach to some greens. It appears you can get discounts booking your tee-time online. There is a driving range here - we came out another day and got two large buckets of balls (buy tokens in the proshop, a dispensing machine is in the driving range) - looked like 60+ balls for $9. The range nets are in tatters in the most heavily targeted ranges, so you might have to yell 'FORE' a few times as your misdirected ball sails onto adjacent fairways. I like this course, will play again. read more

really great course. It's out of the way a bit in BORING, OREGON. But possess some outstanding views of Mountain Hood. I play here about once a year. This time weather was superb, no crowds, a great day out on the course. The fairways were a little hairy and the greens had some sand. It's a course I recommend driving in a cart. Hole 12 is a very interesting hole. Sharply elevated par three surrounded by a sand trap and shrubs. My brother and I played and we didn't get paired up with anyone. After we finished - we had a beer upstairs in LeaderBoard, their sports bar. It was a nice time. I drank a Backwoods Beer and they offered a free little snack mix. Also, the pro shop folks were friendly. Hit this course up, it's scenic and a good challenge. Fair pricing and you can always get a tee time. read more

Would not recommend this Golf course to anyone. We've heard not so good reviews on this place, but decided to give it a go because of how beautiful the scenery is but to our not so surprised we're disappointed with the customer service of a gentlemen named Bobby. Let's start with the fact that there's rats running inside the place but thankfully we weren't eating at this place. We were enjoying our time and playing exactly how suppose to. Behind us was a group of men that weren't so patient and decided to falsely report us to the marshall. We were approached by the marshal which wasn't a problem and explained to him the situation and he said everything was ok to keep playing and there wasn't any issues with us. But apparently that wasn't enough for the people behind us so they called the front desk and that's when Bobby approached us in a very demanding manner and being absolutely disrespectful without hearing anything from us or the marshall said we had to leave his golf course and he doesn't have time to deal with anything. Bobby was very rude and we were kicked out for no good reason but the fact that people behind us were impatient just like Bobby. If you can't have good communication skills or better yet customer service skills Bobby I don't think you should be working the front desk. Wouldn't recommend read more

Golfed here a few times. Pretty nice setting however..... This is the most poorly maintained course around. Tees are chewed up. Fairways are OK. Biggest issue is the standing water around the greens, even in the middle of the summer. Half the greens on the front 9 have mushy ground around the greens. Much in front of the greens making approach shots far tougher Half the nets at the driving range are gone so stray shots shoot onto the 18th hole or slam into the cart barn Ownership really needs to change their priorities read more

The course itself was fun and well maintained. However the staff has a problem communicating with the people who are not regulars. We scheduled a tee time for 8am. Drove about an hour and a half to get to the course to be told that there is a frost delay. We asked a simple question why not call? The guy at the desk says this" I have been a pro for 35 years and never had to call anyone"! Since we were their we decided to wait and asked if we could be refunded for 9 holes because of time and he says all I can do is give you a rain check. Wow! Unfortunately the management of the club has gone down hill over the years. I have played this course 100's of times but over the last few months it's just gotten worse and worse. The range closes early. No carts out after 5 on days where it does not get dark till 9:30. It's silly little things that make people not want to come back. It's really sad! read more

Took a couple new golfers here on a wddnesday at 12 with no tunes behind us worth noting and come along to the 9th hole and some older (less than a) gentleman comes up yelling about how we are taking too long and what the hood up is and when I tell him I have three new golfers with me goes on to tell me they should be in the driving range and I should teach them etiquette. I state that they have been in the driving range the last two days (not at Mt. View, they have a horrendous driving range) when this guy tells me he works there and is going to get us kicked off the course. Proceeds to talk all sorts of ish saying he works there and blah blah. I end up driving to the clubhouse to tell them one of their employees is acting a fool, and the response I get is oh yeah he's a Marshall here. Clubhouse guy walks out to #10 to talk to him without any interest in actually making things right. This man is a Marshall at this course and feels the need to belittle golfers below his "stature". The fact the clubhouse did nothing to deal with their "employee" makes it much harder to deal with their overwatered greens and bone fry fairways. For the same price there are many other courses locally for us to actually enjoy. Enjoy your "fantastic" 12th hole and unkempt fairways. Thanks for nothing clubhouse staff. Oh and the "Marshall's" name was "doke" or something along those sorts. An absolute love. read more

One of the worst days of my life . It was a great day to Golf on yesterday , but I didn't get to play not due to weather, but because I felt like my life was threaten . As a Member of this course I was disrespected publicly and given a dirty cart , when I approach the person in charge about the dirty cart he said in front of a room of all white people , that he would give me a rag to clean it up myself . people chuckled in the background he laughed . I stepped out of the room gathered my thoughts went back in made up my mind that I was going to play regardless . so I decided to walk the course . As usual I report it to the starter he ignored me and was talking to other people as if I was not even there then , he lets me know that there is a two hour frost delay which is understandable , then I hear in the background who told him he could play , here, then I heard who allowed another one in here , then I heard we have plenty of trees around the third and fourth hole . Being form Tennessee I have heard all these remarks in regards to black people . Now back to the person who was behind the counter the same person for a whole year in 2020 tried to get me to take lessons from him he has always been super nice to me , but when there is a room full of white people he treated me totally different , as a member of this course I felt so disrespected but at the time there was nothing I could do but leave . I was not going to take the chance of being hung , or being jumped on . I was so threaten that I did not even ask for my money back for the nine holes or the cart fee . I just left thinking this is not the same course that I am a member of but yet it was , as a pastor there are just certain things you don't do and as an employee of this course he should've stood up and made it right unfortunately he didn't, so I will not be renewing my membership there and would be looking for an apology from him or they will be hearing from my lawyer for a public apology . I cannot confront the ignorance of the patrons but I can confront the ignorance of the employee that I've known over a year . I will no longer suggest the course to no one black , white , Asian , no one , because no one deserves to be treated like I was treated and humiliate it on yesterday . This is a really pretty course! The 12th hole (pretty sure it is the 12th) is so damn cool and really makes the drive to this course worth it! For starters, this is a seldom played golf course, each time I have played here it has been raining and the course was basically empty. From what I understand though, this is pretty typical and a tee-time is usually not needed (I would still make one though). It is really quiet here, the greens are kept up well and the staff is really nice and chill. The fourteenth hole is a par 3 where the tee-box sits about 100 yards above the green which has a sweet little creek running behind it. The hole is SUPER short, only a light sand wedge shot, but it is tough to judge because you sit so high above the green. It is really dramatic hole because you get to watch your ball sail way up into the sky and then drops so far beneath you. If you hit it too hard you are in the creek, too short on the side of a steep hill; it is a surprisingly challenging hole! This seems to me like Oregon's secret golf course! This was a very nice golf course, not too pricey. The grounds are pretty well kept except that the trash cans could be emptied a bit more often. The views are great. It has a fantastic view of Mt. Hood. I've been to other courses that are just as well maintained but they have paved cart paths. Also, there are a ton of broken tees all over the holes. I think that would have made this course better. Watch out for Hole 12. It's a doozy! Not just the hole itself but also the drive down the hill. (Word of advice though, the ladies' tee is down the hill, about midway but just tee off of the regular tee.) You know how they have refreshment carts that drive around? Well, it would be a golden idea to have a ball cart that sells replacement golf balls. Just an idea. read more

Was not enthused by their treatment. We went on a Monday afternoon around 4 pm. We were planning on going to a different course but saw that there weren't very many cars in the parking lot, it was early. My father went in to see if we would be able to play 9 holes. The guy told us we could play the back 9 because they had groups coming in starting at 5 pm so we couldn't play on the front. We wanted to walk the course and the front is a lot flatter than the back, my father has a bad knee. So, because of this we went to the little course down the street. We drove by Mou tain view Golf Course again at 6 pm, no one on the front 9 and the same cars were still in the parking lot. Ive played this course numerous times and I enjoy the course. It is a little out of the way for me, yet I still made the occasional trek out there. I dont know the reason why the guy told us we couldnt play the front even though there was an hour before the groups were supposed to start playing. I have my own opinions, keeping them to myself. I dont think I will make this trek out there for that course anymore. read more

We are new to golf and have been taking lessons from Pat Akins. He is a wonderful instructor and makes learning the game extremely fun! So far, everyone we have met that works at Mountain View has been both kind and helpful. Since we are new to the game, we haven't actually played a round of golf yet. However, what we have seen of the golf course is amazingly beautiful. Especially the view of Mt Hood from the 1st fairway! read more

Found this place on Golfnow and since we were going be in the area we decided to play this course. Overall the course is decent shape, fairways were mowed and the greens were in really good condition. It had rained a little the night before we played, but the course drained well. The layout is pretty straight forward, but the 12th hole is a sight to remember. The tee box is elevated and the pin is a couple hundred feet below (total yardage was 185yds but we were advised to use our 140 yrd club). The only complaint that we had was the pace, It can get backed up. Fee's are reasonable but search for a deal on Golfnow. read more

The only reason they didn't get five of five is because nobody's perfect. This is a great course with a good atmosphere. A little spendy, but overall a great track. The 12th hole is a mind blowing tee to green par three elevation like you have never seen. So if you are ever on the east side towards Mt. Hood and have a few hours to kill, and your like me, and always keep your bag of clubs in the trunk stop in, and at least play the back 9 so you'll get the thrill of the 12th hole. read more
