Good north Indian fare, solid, tasty, and attentive service. The goat kadai - one of their specialities - was excellent, flavorful and spicy. Their chicken tikka masala, though, was only okay, somewhat bland. Similarly for their saag paneer; however, the sabji vindaloo and bhindi masala were quite good. Nice roti, naan, and steaming hot paratha went well with the meal. But no beer! It's BYOB and unfortunately I didn't know that. Add a liquor license and this might bump up to a 4 star. read more

Very good quality Indian food. I like the fact that you can tweak the spice levels - mild, medium, spicy and Indian spice. The place has a good ambience to eat in. Loved their buffets before the pandemic. There's a lot of delay and disorganization in pickup of food. So thats something they could improve in. Good place recommended by a local friend of mine. They had a lot of help here, and almost everyone who worked here was able to take small orders throughout the meal (for example, "one more soda" or "we need more rice"). We were lucky we got there right after opening (5pm) because the place got pretty full, and they were quickly loaded with take-out orders... they dedicated a whole long table to putting take-out bags on to. It was nuts. Nice to see they're doing well. The service got a little bit "spotty" for a while because of how busy they were, but it was still OK. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes for a Chai that my wife ordered to-go just before we paid the bill. I couldn't wait to get out of there by that point. But the food was good. Chicken Tikka Masala was nice, I liked the Mulligatawny Soup even though there weren't very many actual lentils in it... I wasn't crazy about the Chicken Soup though. It was very salty. read more

What an incredibly pleasant surprise! Friends took us here so our expectations were high. A major plus was the service. When was the last time you were in a restaurant where the server, when he brought out clean plates, used a cloth napkin so his fingers did not touch the plate ? Between the four of us we ordered about a dozen different items. Extremely tender lamb; the seasoning on the salmon very tasty (whatever it was); etc etc. also the menu is quite large. Dozens of different dishes. Even if you are hesitant to try Indian foods for a first time, the menu variety is so great and the servers so helpful that you will find this a great experience. We just had our first visit for my wife's birthday. Everyone was very nice! The food was really great--you get to choose spice level, including "American hot" or "Indian Hot". Our waiter let us know that we couldn't get naan before the entree because it wouldn't be at its best--hot from the tandoor. He was very concerned about this--it was touching and kind of funny. If super-hot is not your taste, order mild. Our entrees were ordered at mild, medium, and American hot. The medium was very close to the hot spice level. We'll be back again!! read more

I went to Indian Garden during quarantine. They are only doing take-out orders right now, which is great. However, I have to say the service is pretty bad. There are only two women working the registers and phones, and I think they have around 5 phones. When I called the first couple of times, all calls went unanswered. I didn't get an answer until about 20 minutes later. I could hear all five phones ringing in the back. After confirming my order, I was just hung up on. I wasn't sure if I had lost service or something, so I called back. Yes, she just hung up on me. When I went to pick up my food, I was ignored by the staff. The two women just looked at me and ignored me for 15 minutes even though I was requesting their attention. I think they were discussing an order. The whole time, they also ignored many phone calls. When they did pick up, they kept glancing at me without saying anything to me. It wasn't until the server came out and asked for my name that I was acknowledged. My food had been sitting in front of me the whole time, and finally one of the ladies gave me my check. Despite all this, the food was bomb and that's why I continue to go back. They could spit on me and I wouldn't care as long as they keep cooking as well as they do. The food here is truly truly amazing. read more

My wife and I have frequented here for dinners and take-out for about 6 years. I think this is the best Indian food available within driving distance (including Philadelphia and Princeton). Even comparing to Philadelphia means a lot since Yardley is a small town. We are blessed to have this restaurant. Things have been a little different the past year (COVID) , take-out only, but I am really looking forward to having a sit down dinner and trying a few new dishes. We have been customers of Indian Garden for 17 years, since they were in the Pine Watson Shopping center. Now, here in Yardley. We have enjoyed dinner in the restaurant with our entire family, and take outs too. Indian Garden has provided many enjoyable meals. The food is very fresh, and made to our personal likes. We always ask that green peppers not be included, and we order various hot spice levels for our family members. The food is always just how we order, and delicious. I have introduced many friends to Indian cuisine for the first time at Indian Garden. Every meal we have had from Indian Garden has been excellent! The food is typically good. Their delivery (Grubhub) is terrible. Last night I ordered delivery at about 450 PM. The food didn't show up until almost 7. It was lukewarm. I ordered 2 orders of garlic Naan. The foil was torn open and there was a piece of bread missing. Gross. I called Indian Garden, just to let them know what happened. I got told to complain to Grubhub. No attempt to make it right or even take my information. I have gotten eat in and delivery there lots of times. I'm disappointed. read more

Best run Indian restaurant!! And I'm Indian so I would know. Pictured is 3 vegetarian dishes, dal makhani, paneer bhurji, and malai kofta along with vegetable biryani. They have 4 spice levels, and hot is truly hot but food is SO delicious. We travel from jersey for this food! We come so often all staff know who we are and treat us like family. I even recognized last we went (1/20/19) that one of the waitresses treating brand new customers like family. AUTHENTIC!! We came here for my moms birthday and the food did not disappoint! We ordered chili paneer as an appetizer and they asked how hot we waned it and one of the options was Indian hot! Being Indian we assumed it couldn't be too spicy but when they say Indian hot, boy do they mean it!! Our mouths were burning and we were downing so much water, we felt like the waiter was getting mad to keep having to refill our glasses. The paneer itself was crispy and flavorful! It was stir fried with peppers and onions in a hot sauce! Our taste buds were on fire literally! For our main course we order paneer Bhurji since my mom and I are vegetarians and chicken tikka masala for my dad and brother! We got those entrees one less than Indian hot! The paneer bhurji was flavorful but I wish it was a little less creamy! The garlic naan added more flavor to the bhurji! My dad and brother had no complaints with the chicken tikka masala and said it was delicious! We were so full at the end of our meals that we had no room for dessert! This is a place where take out from often. The food here is good and fresh. The spice level varies from day to day, so be careful here. Hot spicy is hot enough, I would not venture to Indian spicy. The favorite entree here is paneer bhurji makhani. It is shredded paneer in a tomato cream sauce. The samosa here is really good too, but only order of you are going to eat in. One order of rice is complimentary with each order of entree. The ambience is nice and quiet. The restaurant was recently renovated. The service is impeccable. Well since they opened the buffet back up after the pandemic the food is absolutely delicious as always. Nice selection. Great friendly staff. Of course as any other restaurant the price has gone up. The lunch buffet is $17 now. I think it's worth every penny. If I had to make this myself with many items I don't have the means to it would cost a lot more. It must have been a bad night and I do mean BAD ! My wife had Tandoori Chicken which was served on a sizzling platter; sadly, the chicken wasn't sizzling, so the jump from the clay pot to the platter could have done with a trip to the microwave. Apparently the sauce was quite good. I had Lamb Rhogan Josh which had been kept under the warmer charring the meat on top; but surprisingly the meat under the surface was cool/cold. As for service, none of us got the impression of a warm welcome. The bus guy with the baseball cap was a novel touch and having to ask to place an order twice was odd also..
