    Chapli kabab

We went here for lunch.seating area is old fashioned but doesn't matter if the food is great. My husband took lunch buffet it was great. They had different types of curries. Chicken curry and kofta curry I liked the most. Chicken tandoor was so we'll marinated and perfectly cooked- no burning.I ordered Chapli kabab from the menu bcz if u come to kabab house then u should try at least one. I was skeptical about my order but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It took little bit of time but it was just perfect and delicious.came with green fresh salad and freshly cooked salad. Everyone must try Chapli kabab. I will recommend Zaika kabab and give five star.

Zaika catered a fundraiser I just attended at a masjid in Trenton and the food was absolutely phenomenal.

I used to be around this area alot due to Sesame Place, Carrabba's, Giant(used to be 24 hours), etc.... so I'm quite familiar with this area. Found this place on Google map because I was looking for beef kababs platter. And for some reason, most kabab places around NE Philly either doesn't carry it or charges $40 and up for it. I want a platter but I don't want to burn a hole in my wallet lol. I always get the Beef Tikka Kabab platter and the Frinee. If I want two meals out of it, I would just order a single skewer of Tikka Kabab. Now that's enough for me to get two meals out of it. I don't know what are the sauces call, but one is red and the other is green. The green sauce is kinda tangy, which tastes great to add on the rice. The red spicy sauce is perfect for the kabab, not overly spicy or bland, just perfect amount of heat. I try to get the Frinee every time I order, but sometimes they are in stock and some times they are sold out. Usually I would keep my fingers crossed for the Frinee lol. Last but not least, they have different drinks in the fridge. I love restaurants that carry the unusual drinks. The only con about this place is I lived kinda far, so I stop by whenever I'm in the area.

First time here was a winner!…read more Sometimes you just have a craving for lamb or chicken on rice, with that addictive white and hot sauce. This place delivered just that in my generously portioned combo over rice order. A few tables on the interior provide a space to enjoy their nicely spiced protein or grain with rice, salad and pita offerings. I, however, took mine to my destination-about 35 minutes away, and it remained warm and ready to eat. The person taking and delivering my order was pleasant, and I wouldn't hesitate to return when I feel for this type of food again. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned and well cooked.

I didn't know about this place until my buddy was grabbing food from here and told me this cook was previously at a Restaurant called Zaika in the NE on Grant Ave. His favorite dish is the Chicken 65 - Deep-fried marinated chicken, sautéed with bell peppers, onions, curry leaves, and mustard seeds. The inside has a buffet set up and over a dozen booth/quad tables for dining in. They had a TV playing Indian pop music and a lot of pictures on the walls. I picked up take out for both orders - My family and I had several different menu items and all of them fell in the good to great window. Chicken Kebabs were a little light on spice and size as compared to some other places I frequent. They were good and fresh though. Chicken Tikka dry - tender, juicy, fresh and delicious. Can't go wrong with this one! Chana Masala - chick peas in curry sauce - the wife has enjoyed this dish twice so far. Gave it a thumbs up. Vegetable Samosa - pastry filled with seasoned potatoes and green peas, deep-fried to a crispy golden finish. Not total grease bombs and pretty spicy. Too much for the wife, but I thought they were average good samosas. Not a bad thing. Chicken Makhani aka Butter Chicken - Cooked in a Buttery Cream sauce - I thought it was a tad too creamy/buttery, but the sauce mixed in well with the basmati rice from my biryani. Chicken biryani - Basmati rice cooked with marinated chicken, onions, cashew nuts, raisins, and a blend of Indian spices, flavored with saffron. You can get it with bone in chicken or boneless. The rice was seasoned really well. You get a lot in one order. Can easily feed three people. Plain naan - delicious and fresh. Overall, we are more than happy to continue to order our go-to's from here. The woman who took my order and met me at the counter was very nice. Keep in mind if your ordering give yourself some extra time. I had a typical 40-45 minute wait for a 4-5 dish order. I thought the prices were fair. Thanks guys, see you again soon!

We also ordered two chais. Fresh, yummy, hot and soothing. I look forward to coming back.
