Indian Grill Restaurant is an easygoing, red-hued restaurant offering classic Indian dishes, plus a lunch buffet. Food at affordable rates. Ordered Chicken 65 Pulav and Goat Biryani thru Uber Eats. Perfect packing and great service. Both were yummy and delicious. Tasty flavorful and semi good appearance. Pulav rice could definitely use more chicken, but my food arrived hot and quickly. I would have appreciated more if they have provided Mirchi Ka Salan and Raita side orders with my order. They go very well with these rice dishes. For Indian food lovers I highly recommend this restaurant. I promise you won't regret it. The chicken 65 Pulav is different from what you might usually expect in that, it is not served dry. There is a small amount of sauce coating to the chicken pieces that really enhance the flavor. I highly recommend getting this a bit spicier than you usually do. The Goat Biryani was different from other restaurants, it had a more taste of pepper and mint taste to it. The best part is that they have given a full boiled egg with each of my dish. I am no connoisseur of Indian cuisine, but I love this place for the quality, portions, and price. The convenience as it's super easy to order through Uber Eats. We ordered butter chicken and lamb curry - they looked exactly the same. We couldn't tell which was what until we cut into the meat. they gave us the wrong item. They didn't have cheese naan. We ordered the onion salad - when we got it there was tomato's, cucumbers and lettuce - NO ONION. I looked at pictures on Yelp and saw a picture someone posted of butter chicken so I know what we got was definitely the wrong item. The naan was extremely dry. I went to this restaurant for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Both the customer service and the food were outstanding. I ordered the chicken biryani and saag paneer. The saag paneer had the perfect amount of cream added to it. It wasn't overly sweet as I've experienced from other restaurants. The chicken biryani was some of the best I've had. Indian Grill is located in front of Chow King and Tiny Towne. I've seen it often while going to Chow King and always wondered about it. I got off work early and instead heading out to eat Indian close to work, I decided to eat closer to home. I didn't realize that Indian Grill shared the same building with an Asian fusion place. Walking in Indian Grill, I was greeted right away. It's a small restaurant but there was plenty of tables and seats. Most of the people sat closer to the bathroom on the side. I decided to sit closer to the buffet. So I checked out the buffet items first. I was surprised to see so many meat options and no butter chicken or tandoori chicken. It must only be available on weekends since I read others who have already reviewed mentioned it. There were not enough veggie options. Most Indian buffets that I go to have a section for meat and then another section for veggies. I was quite disappointed with what I saw. I almost wanted to walk out but didn't. I decided to just eat what is there. The owner is really sweet and friendly. I wasn't totally satisfied so I ordered off menu - veggie samosas. It is delicious. I wasn't too thrill about the mint and tamarind chutney at all. It was tasteless and very salty. The best thing on the buffet to me is the saag paneer which was delicious. Paneer had the texture of tofu. The naan is okay, a little dry. It wasn't fluffy like I would like. Pakora is tasty. I ordered the vegetable Samosa, garlic Nan and Lamb Tikka Masala. The vegetable Samosa was very dry and the crust was really hard, not puffy. The lamb Tikka Masala was not what I had expected at all, and I've had this dish a million times. The sauce spices were not right and the tomato consistency wasn't good. And not much lamb in it either. The service was horrible too. Could hardly understand the servers and one of them mumbled a lot. And I was confused by who my server was because they kept switching. We've eaten here twice, both times excellent. After speaking with the chef the first time, we dared to bring our children with severe nut allergies. We love Indian food, but that's been a risk that's made us avoid it as a family. The food is wonderful, full of the rich depth of flavor I expect in good Indian food. Flavor was perfect in both the hot spicy foods and the less hot spicy foods. Vegetable dishes were great (particularly eggplant) and the lamb was superb. Chicken is great, too. The naan is soft and delicious, but three orders of different flavors left plenty to take home. We're going for the lunch buffet tomorrow, new review then! LUNCH BUFFET: The lunch buffet was excellent! Indian cuisine is one of my favorites and I seek it out in every place I've traveled, all around the USA, from Japan to the UK, the Caribbean, etc. In fact, it's almost comical that I expect to have Indian food at any place I'm currently at. So when I moved to the Atlanta area, I started my "research" on where I'd go the times when I crave it. After a few hits and misses, I've decided the generically named "Indian Grill" in Norcross will be my go-to. It is not the best I've tried (sadly, that distinction is reserved for the now-closed Banjara in NYC) but is excellent for its varied menu, huge portions and price point. The chicken 65 and shrimp 65 is my favorite for its incredible flavors and big chunky pieces - order it mild to really taste the medley of spices, peppers, onions and bay leaves. The chicken biryani is always a classic and uses a traditional Indian recipe. Today I was craving a curry but not a spicy one and came across the chicken malai curry. I like that they offer a half portion of the dish, which means I'll be trying their other curries without committing to the full price. It turned out to be delicious and exactly what I was looking for! A mild curry with a base of coconut milk and dried fruits and onions. It was rich without it being overwhelmingly thick and the chicken was tender and well-cooked. And of course, everything goes well with a mango lassi! So thumbs up to you, generically named Indian Grill. You exceed my expectations and don't squeeze my wallet with your delicious Indian dishes. read more

It was a Wednesday evening when I visited so not very crowded. The inside was inviting with clean tables. There was Indian music playing at an appropriate level (loud enough to hear but soft enough to ignore or have a conversation over). I was greeted and seated quickly. The menu was clear with descriptions that help you understand what the dishes contain. I placed my order and was served my soup while waiting for the main dish. I've never really eaten Indian food before, but I've really been wanting to venture out as the food always smells so inviting! I had the Butter chicken the first time I tried this place and it was really good! The chicken itself was super tender and I loved the richness of the sauce. But it's kinda sweet, and I wanted something a bit more savory, so I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala the next time around. Equally as amazing, everything I was looking for! Ive order from here several times and i figured they would try to be cheap. Ubereats is doing a bogo deal and guess what? Chicken tikka masala was one of the bogo. Plus when they do the right sauce (cream) it taste so much goodness with bullet naan. But just as i figured, they try and be cheap. Its $11 for a dinner size to go portion, but cause its bogo they split that size into 2 small ones that equal 1 Full dinner size. So i dont feel i got 2 dinners for the price of 1! My first visit was odd; I walked in and told the cashier / host that I had a Groupon and her reply was, "Are you sure it has not expired?" I found that unnerving so I walked out. I returned here several weeks later (after leaving work) to give the place another chance (and to redeem my Groupon). The experience was better on the second attempt; however, there were some noticeable flaws. Service is competent but not great. My waitress did not ask if I wanted anything to drink other than water. I would have ordered a beer or mango llase. The food is good here but I have had better. On this 2nd visit I tried the Mixed tandoori grill (chicken, shrimp and other meats, onions, bell peppers, lime garnish), hot wings (6 piece appetizer), garlic naan, and the sag aloo paneer. The food came out quickly, but there was no one else besides me in the dining room. All quite good; however, I've experience better Indian cuisine dining experiences for the price point. I will admit that he naan is very good, perhaps above average. The place was deserted on a Friday evening at 6:30pm, which I find to be odd. I had enough food left over (for one meal) to take home; however, for the price point I felt like my leftover / to-go box was a little light. I might return to try their lunch buffet (to sample other menu items); however, there are just too many fantastic Indian lunch buffets closer to where I live (so that will likely not happen). I am beyond ecstatic that we finally have a truly awesome Indian restaurant on this side of town. I originally found the Indian Grill through the Eat24 delivery app but got a chance to go into the restaurant last weekend with my boyfriend and a friend last weekend. First their delivery, It is always delivered quickly and well wrapped for delivery. No messes and everything is always hot and delicious! Second the service in the restaurant. The service was amazing!! Impeccable service, excellent suggestions and always great food. A few of the highlights, the Balti special w/goat..this dish was fought over lol. It was perfectly spiced, goat incredibly tender, just super yum! The Chicken Shaag Ponir...has quickly become one of my favorite dishes. Mild but full bodied flavor, its a perfect dish if introducing a first timer to Indian food. The Chicken/Lamb biryani was great too. The lamb was very tender and had no strong game taste. The Mulligatawny soup if the best I have ever had. Not just a thin broth with a few lentils like it us in most places in town. Vegetarian dishes? The Bhindi Masala and the Garlic Mushrooms are the bomb!! I feel like I've gone on enough about it....just give it a shot!! They are new in town but truly amazing!! This restaurant is located next to the Indian Trail intersection at Beaver Ruin at the Indian Village complex. Ran and owned completely by Bangladeshi people, this place is clearly suffering from an identity crisis since they stamped a giant INDIAN in their forehead. Regardless, when it comes to taste at a fair price, they are doing a neat job. Friendly service, nice interior and good food comes together here. (However my experience here is limited to dine in lunch only) ... For lunch here, you can get a big plate with six items plus a side of naan or rice for 7.99$. Its a great deal since the portions are not too small. The portions include a salad and a dessert alongside of meat and veggie options. The items offered in this deal tastes great and are well made. I also ordered the mushroom rice for 2.95$ and Chicken 65 for 5.95$. The chicken 65 was crunchy but lacked flavors but the mushroom rice was well seasoned. So when these two are eaten in combo, its pretty good. I also ordered lemonade and heads up the refills are not free. Overall I had a positive experience. All the prices seemed reasonable. Especially the lunch combinations are great deals since it gives you the option of trying out multiple items, side by side of filling the tummy up. When I decided to join Yelp in order to spread the awesome word about the many restaurants that I discover, I never considered the high chance that I'd run into a less than stellar food experience. This brings me to my thoughts on "Indian Grill Restaurant". In all of the many Bangladeshi/Indian restaurants that I've ordered from, this was the first one to almost completely disappoint. [Note To The Reader That My Experience Was An Online Order & Not At The Restaurant] The Chicken 65 was absolutely dry and tasteless, and the restaurant has you pay extra to get the Yogurt cucumber Raita as a condiment. Whereas in the 4 other restaurants that I've ordered from, the Yogurt Raita came with the Chicken 65 already (no additional charge) and was both delicious and bursting with flavor. So just from the appetizer alone, Indian Grill Restaurant hits a slight low point. Oh, and as for the Raita, and I'm not sure how they messed this one up, it was bland whereas other restaurants had a nice refreshing and complimentary to the flavorful chicken 65 taste to it. Now, as for the Naan, this is where I'll give some props to the restaurant for not messing that up. I got the Bullet Naan and I definitely enjoyed it as it was the only thing that brought some sort of smile to my face. Unlike the chicken, the Bullet Naan was well seasoned, but sadly only came with two pieces whereas other restaurants offered 3 for a similar price. Unfortunately, that smile completely wares off once I stick my fork into the Butter chicken and basmati rice. The rice itself, which in all of the other restaurants that I've ordered from selling the same kind of rice usually has a highly aromatic presence to it, was just as bland as the chicken 65. Makes me wonder if this restaurant believes in seasoning. Where I'll step back a little bit from the nitpick train is where the butter chicken comes in. This was my first time trying this dish out so I can't say if they nailed it or failed at it. What I will say is that it both smelled and slightly tasted like what I felt like doing after eating it. [HINT: It's not good] Overall, for the price that they're charging you and the quality of food that you're eating (at least for what I ordered), I'd recommend exploring other options in the area. I won't say which restaurants I'd recommend as it might be disrespectful to advertise other restaurants in my review for this. Just take my word that you'll find truly delicious and delectable choices out there for either close to or just a slight bit more expensive price range. Our family ate here for the Saturday Lunch Buffet. There was incensed burning when we arrived at 12:30. We were the only ones in the restaurant at first. When we left there were three other tables being served. The restaurant was clean and looked nice on the inside. The food is good. On the day we went I thought the Chicken Tiki Masala was too sweet but I did get a second plate of it. The goat curry was good and got seconds aw well. The daughters liked the vegetables. What a wonderful find on Beaver Ruin Road, very close to Indian Trail Road and I-85. We were in the area and looking for a very late lunch (it was almost 3 pm). On a whim, we ventured into Indian Grill. It doesn't look impressive on the outside and the ambiance inside isn't exactly upscale. But it's clean and certainly suitable for a lunch buffet, which we were seeking. The real charm, though, is the genuine interest of the family owner in providing authentic, quality Indian food at a very good price. Because we were so close to closing time for the buffet, some items were depleted. But the owner assured us that he would cook fresh any items we would like. Ultimately, there was more than enough to satisfy us from the current selection. Yet, while we were eating, the owner brought me a freshly prepared plate of the delightfully spicy goat curry that he noticed I favored! Then, having noted that my daughter and I loved the tandoori chicken (and had confirmed its presence on the buffet when we arrived), he prepared and delivered a hot plate with enough sizzling hot tandoori for several hungry people... Along with some freshly made naan! Wow! Now that's a customer-oriented restaurant! Though buffets don't usually allow take-home, they were nice enough to box up what we couldn't finish (which provided a second tasty meal that evening). At about $8-$10 per person at lunch, you can get a great assortment of traditional Indian favorites. We liked the chicken tandoori, goat curry, balsamic rice with peas, and palak paneer (an item made with spinach and tofu). I'm inclined to try this place for dinner sometime because I noticed that their regular menu features a huge selection of dishes, most available with lamb, goat, chicken, tilapia, shrimp, or vegetarian. Initially was introduced to this place via Groupon, I can say we will definitely be back. Not much to look at inside, must have been an old Shoneys or similar but if you focus on the food , service and staff you can't go wrong. As a Brit, I have eaten a lot of Indian food in many places and this is great quality for the money. Would give 5 for the food, but overall 4 because of the shabby decor. We had pakora which was ok but the killer were the entrees: lamb korma, veg korma and chicken tikka masala. Best by far were the kormas, darker than normal but the quality of the ingredients especially the veg was fab. Veg had zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, peas and was a good size.
