Our group of 4 had a great time kayaking. Wish we had done rafting instead! The down river was tons of fun with unexpected twists and turns. Also fun with low water levels. You can also bring food and drinks!! Wish we had known that... This is a short drive from NYC and next to great ice cream shops. Service was great and workers were very friendly. I highly recommend this place, I look forward to my next visit

They do mention that there are "category 1" rapids but it's compared to maybe hitting a speed bump at 20mph. Be sure to stop along the way as the route is beyond beautiful and worthy of docking your kayak or raft for a quick swim. Staff is super helpful and know what they're doing - 10/10 im coming back here in the next few weeks Update: been coming here a few times every summer for the past 4 years and have become a huge fan of the 3 day overnight camping trips that they offer. It's a great way to connect w loved ones you decide to bring along and an even better way to avoid screen time since you won't have much signal throughout the trip

The place is owned by a lovely family, I got to meet a few of them personally and they're truly passionate about this business which is why it's still thriving! Pro tip: LEAVE ALL EXPENSIVE AND IMPORTANT ITEMS AT HOME. If you're not prepared to lose it, don't bring it! Will be back soon

Emails and calls for months, constantly got the run around and was told on the phone I need a group of 30 in order to park there and be taken to River Beach and float down, instead of the 14 that I was bringing to your company. Gladly chose Adventure Sports for $200 less and canoeing the lower river. Will actively use other outfitters going forward for our annual reunion trips. If you are looking for a good workout then 17 miles is definitely the option to go for. My group and I kayaked a year or two ago and it took approx. 5 hrs nonstop to get it done. Thus, you may need to show up early to the place around 9 am to account for resting and other delays. Also, the company closes at 6pm and if you return the equipment past 6pm then you will be charged of some penalty... Anyways, my group and I also kayaked 10 miles and it took approx. 3 hrs to be finished. The water in this river is very calm with some currents that may be able to help you out to gain speed from time to time. There is nothing dangerous at this river so you can easily enjoy and have an amazing time with your group. There is a cliff that you can climb almost at the end of the ride where you get to jump down into the water. The height can be approx. 10-15 feet high. The feeling that you get from jumping down can be amazing!

Let's start off with the PROS…read more.. - We had a very good experience with the staff members. Pleasant enough, accommodating enough. We appreciated their help. - The Views. Great location. - Wifi available near office. - We were left alone. We were loud, had fun, laughed, sang, carried on. Nobody bothered us. I can see how this is a CON for some people. :) Now the CONS... - Bathrooms suck. Not cleaned often enough. Not enough stalls, sinks, showers. Not air conditioned. - Two water temperates: Very hot and Thermonuclear. Gotta fix that. - Very dangerous hill to and from the riverside camp sites. People must be getting injured every year. Simple solution: Get some better lighting - even solar lighting - near that path. Consider installing stairs or something, or rails. - Enjoyed the fireworks, but not the next morning at 6am. Not the fault of campground - just neighborly stuff. Perhaps they didn't care for our loud music and my horrible Karaoke singing. *shrug* - Next to ZERO cell signal. Some people with (of all things) T-Mobile had occaisional signals near the river. Bottom Line: Partiers will love it. Your camping experience will be epic, and you will wanna go again. Just don't kill yourselves on the path to the river, and try not to shit your pants waiting for a stall to open up. Families will maybe wanna reconsider. Your kids and dogs will be awake at 1pm listening to loud music, horrible singing, and the occaisional very loud fireworks going on. If you are ok with that, just bring ear protection to drown out the noise and you should be fine.

First off, when I registered my party, none of the employees were wearing masks (not very comforting during covid). Additionally, mask requirements were not enforced for guests either, which was quite unnerving in a small enclosed space where people definitely did not stay 6 feet apart. Similarly, no masks were worn by employees on the shuttle busses to and from the rafting site. Considering that you share a bus or van with a group of people, this seems against public health recommendations - especially because all busses/vans had signs up requiring masks. Lastly, receiving our raft was quite chaotic. It wasn't clear where to go or who to talk to, and my group spent quite some time trying to get the attention of the employees. I may go back once the pandemic is over as the trio was very scenic, but would not recommend going at the moment.

The people who come here are really stretching the concept of "camping". They bring giant speakers and even TVs and power them with loud gas generators. The campground supposedly has quiet hours after 11pm but they do nothing to enforce them and when you bring up the lack of enforcement they just kind of shrug. One night we stayed people played loud music all through the night until 5am. If you value enjoying nature with a good night's sleep stay far far away from here.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The campsites are well-spaced, and each spot comes with a picnic table. The bathrooms were well-maintained and clean, and the water temperature was warm enough for a comfortable shower. The camp also has a small store with all the essentials, and there's a Walmart and McDonald's nearby for anything you may need beyond that. They keep the area tidy, with clean trash bins and bags provided, and the trash is picked up in the morning. The only downside was the lack of night patrol. There were several loud parties making it difficult to sleep, though I understand this is more of an issue with guests not being considerate. Additionally, the site next to ours had a notably loud snorer, which made things a bit more challenging. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Kittatinny K-Camp.
