The restaurant sits up on a hill and has a spectacular view of the valley and the mountains. All of the staff were very friendly and gracious, and we felt so welcomed. We tried the samosas, the butter chicken, and beef biryani. All of the food was delicious. read more

Loved the chickpeas and spice balance. * Fish Curry (Bass) - Server's recommendation and the star of the night! Rich, flavorful, and honestly one of the best fish curries I've had. * Chicken Biryani - Just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing special either. We were really craving Indian food, so we looked for options in Golden and decided to try this spot since it had great reviews--and it definitely lived up to them. The food was very tasty, especially the vegetable jalfrezi. Definitely worth trying. Service was quick and staff was helpful. Shahi Paneer and Daal Makhani were great as well but the Masala Chai wasn't as good. One thing worth noting is that the curries don't come with rice, so you have to order it separately. And a great atmosphere... we originally stopped at the other Indian place down the road that was previously a Chinese restaurant with bad reviews.. that place had an iky vibe and sad fish glad we kept scrolling! We were driving from Vancouver to Calgary in an EV and we stopped to charge at the Electrify Canada charging station across the parking lot from the Indian kitchen. We took the faded awning as a sign that this restaurant has been here for some time and while we were going to be at least 30 minutes charging the car and there was nothing else around we gave this restaurant a try. It was around dinner time it was busy inside and a lot of south Asian customers so that was another good sign. We ordered chicken korma and aloo Gobi with some basmati rice and garlic naan. The flavours were authentic and the food came out fast and it was good. What more could we ask for. We were glad that this EV charging station led us to this restaurant which is worthy of being a destination in itself! read more

The location of this place is good..just off the highway. But service is pathetic and I seriously will give a zero star for service Food however is excellent and if you don't mind waiting his is a very good restaurant for Indian food. Service Needs to be improved: The ambience is good and they will give you a table quickly. Then the painful wait starts. First you will have to wait for atleast 20-25 minutes for someone to come and take your order. They will genuinely apologize for the delay. But the fact is here is only 1 person doing everything - receiving , allocating tables, handling phone orders, taking customers orders, taking care of Cheques. The restaurant is crowded so not sure why they can't hire additional help in front office. Once you place the order then there is another 35-40 minutes of wait. It took them literally 40 minutes to get me a freaking "MASALA PAPAD" and that too after 4 reminders and telli them I am starving. Please fix this issue by hiring more help. read more

This was probably the best Indian food we've ever had, and we've had quite a bit in the States! We tried 4 types of naan and they were all incredible and soft, the coconut rice and vegetable pulao rice were amazing with the entrees Chicken Kadahi and Tikka Masala. Total wast of money I went to this restaurant with family on the way of our road trip. I hade no hops but still the food was very bad. My chicken tasted really old and they mush have re-heated. Restrooms were not clean and they just clean the table and use same hands to keep spoons and handle foods. And my friend got food poisoning and we kind of felt it's from this restaurant. The food was really great but the service was awful and the bathrooms were disgusting. We were the only two people in the restaurant for lunch and they were fully staffed. The staff sat on the couch and played on their phones, the cook in the kitchen was taking on his cell while making us lunch and server was no where to be seen.
