Was in Revy for 5 days and needed some spice. Was initially skeptical about Indian/German. Reviews said otherwise - oh my gosh were they right! Everything was so fresh and good. Started with pappadums and mango chutney. Clearly pappadums made fresh on prem. Light and airy and a large amount. For dinner, ordered the saag paneer, aloo gohbi, rice, naan and my husband had butter chicken spaetzle. Side of hot pickle. Food came out hot and well prepared. Saag paneer had plenty of cheese and a slow build of great heat. Aloo gohbi was perfect mix of cauliflower and potatoes- cauliflower not overly done. Husband really enjoyed butter chicken, had great flavor and chicken was super tender. Over spaetzle was a little weird for me, but he liked it. Hot pickle for him had great heat. Naan was also house made and super fresh. Service was prompt. Initially sat us over an AC vent and I asked to be moved, and they did so willingly even tho only a four top was open and it is a small restaurant. Don't expect a fine dining ambiance / think ski town, but very prompt and clean. Would definitely come back again! read more

Visited this restaurant on a road trip to Glacier National Park. This is a fusion restaurant with a modern take on Austrian & Indian cuisine. We got the paneer tikka roll and a tea. We came here specifically because we wanted to try German - Indian fusion and were not disappointed. I loved the combo of curry over spatzle. The Naan, Lassi, and pakoras were also delish. I was very tempted to come back the very next night for the three course vegan meal but I really like to try a few different places when on vacation. Service was speedy as well. Love Indian so decided to give it a try on our guys trip. Found out it has Indian, German, and Thai food. Never seen that combination before. It's on the 1st street where everything else is. It's a pretty small place so it can get crowded at times, but they do take reservations. Its no frills restaurant. Don't go there for the ambiance. Service was a bit slow but the food was excellent. Didn't try any Thai food so can't attest to that. The Indian food was all excellent. Can't really decided what was my favorite. Samosa, aloo gobi, chana masala, dahl makhani (lentil curry), saag paneer were all really good. You can get regular naan or garlic naan. I almost always prefer garlic naan. They come in bowls that look a little small at first but was enough for 5 full grown men. We did try one Indian German fusion dish. The butter chicken schnitzel with spatzle. It was pretty good, probably the best schnitzel I ever had. Never had spatzle util then. It's like a German egg pasta. They did forget the butter chicken schnitzel with spatzle but they did write it off for us because of their mistake. So service was slow but I would still rate it as excellent. Definitely something to try if you are in the area and like Indian food. read more

The restaurant looked good online, but the food was horrible. The meat was dry in the pad thai, and the snitzle was too. The lady waiting out table messed up 2 times with the order after she had double checked. She was obviously stoned. Overall shitty experience would not recommend. Stopping by Revelstoke for a break and also dinner, drove down the main drag and came across this small family style eatery. The menu is very creative: German/Indian fusion! Food was good, the Samosa was a bit dry but still very tasty. For main course, I had the Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Cream Sauce; sauce a bit too thick and can still taste a bit of flour, the pork was tender and cooked just right. My partner had the Cauliflower Curry, this is the best out of all we had ordered, one thing though, it was lukewarm, the spices was well balanced and very very tasty!! Keeping in mind this very innovative small restaurant is in Revelstoke ( small town in interior BC ), this alone gets a star!! With small improvements with the food, I am sure they will have a steady stream of of hungry traveller that will like to venture their spicy and tasty menu items!! Came here for dine in and enjoyed their food so much we got takeout only 2 nights later! I was somewhat hesitant to give them 5 stars, but since I did, I'll start with the (small) parts that could be improved: Service is slow. They make a quality product and it seems like there is always a crowd, at least after 7pm. I didn't take away a star for this however because it was so worth the wait. Other downside: both times we went they didn't have the chocolate ganache cake I saw in some pics. Huge bummer because it looked so good! The first time we came we went for Indian and Thai. The chana masala was beautiful and light. Came with naan. The naan was okay but I wouldn't go out of my way to order extra. My husband ordered their fusion version of Tom Yum which was an out of this world flavor explosion - we both absolutely loved it. The red curry didn't have the same flavor explosion but was pretty good in its own right. Mango lassi was really nice but the rose milkshake far too sweet imo. Takeout time - still waited really long for food after ordering ahead but again it was worth it. This time we did samosas, Tom Yum (again) then we explored the German fusion options. Saffron prawns with spaztel and bratwurst. We finished off the Tom Yum pretty quickly then dug into the spaztel dish.... Such an interesting flavor fusion, but also quite heavy compared to our previous order. We had to save the samosas and brat for the next day and still had left over spaztel! Indian food is my all-time favorite so I try to find a good spot wherever I visit. This place isn't bad, per se. But it's not good either. Veggie samosa is alright. Butter chicken (asked for spicy) was bland as could be. Zero flavor. Kind of thin and runny. Not spicy at all. Garlic nan was soggy and soaked in oil/butter with some clusters of minced garlic spread on it. But no real flavor. Rice was ok. Definitely not "spicy" and absolutely zero flavor in any of the food I had. Service was good, though. Friendly staff and food came out quickly. read more

While driving through Revelstoke and staying a couple nights on our way to Kelowna, we stumbled upon a great gem of a restaurant. Paramjit's Kitchen's Indian AND German Cuisine caught our eye as we scanned a local magazine for restaurants in the area to try. I've seen many ethnic cuisine combinations, but never before something like this! Located in the heart of downtown Revelstoke, this unassuming restaurant served up some great tasting Indian and German food for our family. Goldie Sanghera, the Indian born, Austrian raised and trained culinary chef who owns the 3 year old Paramjit's Kitchen, creates a great menu dominated by a selection of classic Indian dishes with a decent sized listing of German fare. The Beef Samosas and Vegetable Pakoras we started with were great and we weren't disappointed with the Aloo Gobi Sabzi, Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken, and Goat Curry served with rice and naan. The dishes were flavourful and not oily. Portion sizes were perfect to feed 3 of the four members of our family after a 16km hike up Mt. Revelstoke. The fourth member of our family went German and ordered the Pork Rahm Schnitzel and enjoyed every bite. Staff were extremely friendly, the kitchen served up food quickly despite a fully packed restaurant and the meals were very reasonably priced. Paramjit's Kitchen also does take-out and offers up an M.S.G. and Gluten Free dining experience. We often drive through Revelstoke on our way to the Okanagan and will make a point of stopping by Paramjit's Kitchen every time we do. read more

Bearing in mind that this is Revelstoke, Paramjit's Kitchen is a reasonable place to stop in for a meal. Overall, I had a pleasant experience - the location is convenient and the prices are very reasonable. I had the butter chicken (with samosa) as well as a mango chicken curry soup. The soup was very enjoyable, but a little on the pricey end for what it was at $6.50. The butter chicken was also great with good body of flavour but was a little shy on the chicken. The Samosa left a lot to be desired, as it was not crisp, not particularly hot, and very dry on the inside. My naan bread was served cold, and she (I believe Paramjit as she sounded like she owned the place) was surprised when I asked for it to be heated up... unusual. Overall, good value and staff were very friendly. I would give them another shot! read more

In our search for a place to eat ( and we were looking for something out of the usual burger, pasta selection) for our one night stay in Revelstoke, we came across this little gem! Expecting a fairly simple and standard Indian restaurant , we walked up to this small, not very telling place, with a slightly surprising sign indicating a menu with Indian and German food, and a board along the street showing the daily special to be pad thai. Our curiosity sealed the deal. As we found out, the owner with Indian origins lived in Austria in her teens before coming to Canada. Our waitress also told us the owner had just perfected her Thai cooking skills-hence the pad thai that was added to the menu. The interior is very simple- nothing fancy, but it was the hospitality of the waitress and the constant in and outflow of people in this small place, that indicated this place seemed to be a Revelstoke staple. My curiosity was definitely geared towards the fusion menu item, Butter Chicken Spätzle, mainly because I had a very solid idea what to expect while never having tried it in this formHaving lived on Indian food my whole life and growing up in Germany, this was right up my alley. The spätzle were definitely homemade, as they had the right chew and texture, small and button-like. The butter chicken was in the right place, but a personal preference would have included a tad bit more spice. It needed a kick with a small hit of salt to just bring it to the perfect place. The portion size was very generous and prices were fair! Dessert, a chocolate mousse cake, though not sure if it was made in-house was a perfect way to top off the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and see this type of fusion to be a real potential for a metropolitan, with its uniqueness, and home cooking style! Even more surprising to have found it in this sleepy town of Revelstoke! I will go home, and at some point try this combination as well. read more

Mixed dinner experience. Our appetizers were tasty, samosas perfectly cooked with a mint sauce and garnish of chickpeas, and tandoori chicken. The tandoori was not the typical grilled chicken pieces, but chicken in a curry sauce. The sauce was excellent, but the chicken pieces were a mix of legs and back pieces which did not have a lot of meat. Vegetarian yogurt curry with pakoras was good but the pakoras were over fried, very dark in color. The fish curry special was good and came with a mango apple salsa that I enjoyed by my husband didn't care for, it also came with a cabbage side dish that was OK but didn't really go with the rest of the meal. the side order of naan bread was not good at all, very greasy and not the fluffy naan bread we expected, more like a chapatti or soggy tortilla with too much oil. The clientele was mostly locals and lot of take out orders were being picked up. Overall the food was nothing special but there are likely items worth coming back for such as the appetizers we tried. read more

We wanted to somewhere that wasn't another "pub" style burger and fries joint. There's not exactly much variety in Revelstoke. But this fusion place was awesome! It's hard to find a restaurant that does so many different cuisines so well. We ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan bread, Tom yun soup and pork schnitzel. Every single dish hit the spot. Surprisingly all the dishes went well together. I especially liked how the garlic naan actually had visible bits of garlic embedded into the bread making it extra flavourful. The atmosphere of the place is also very quaint and airy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back here next time I'm in town. read more

Very mediocre. The pad Thai was soggy and I'm not sure it had any noodles in it. The coconut curry was flavourless. But the restaurant was still busy and the service was good. Four of us were looking for a place to have dinner on Saturday night and after encountering some long lines at other restaurants, we managed to snag the back corner at Paramjit's. We ordered some Mt. Begbie beers and some pakoras to share which were deep fried and delicious. I was after a cocktail and was told they were out of mint for the mango mojito but they ran out to the store to grab more for me! I ordered the chicken curry special which came with rice and naan, and my friends ordered the prawn curry and Navratan Korma. They were all delicious and so much food, even if you see the curry dish and think it looks "small" - super filling. My partner went the fusion route and got the butter chicken schnitzel with spaetzle and it was so good! The real highlight was the service - our servers were so fabulous and kind. The servers share the work of all the tables and it flows really nicely. Chef even came out and was making her rounds. Would it be Indian or German food? .. that was the big decision to make when we sat down and looked at the menu!! Yikes, that's quite a contrast of flavours!! Our server was very helpful though, and explained the restaurant's various offerings, and especially his particular role in the preparations of the German fare. And even though we believed he was pushing "his thing" a little, we enjoyed his very welcoming and friendly approach. And as we were travelling, we thought it might be best to stay away from the hot & spicy Indian fare (though we were really tempted by the wonderful aroma's from the kitchen, which were so enticing!!), and went with the schnizel, served with German fried potatoes and/or spatzle (we opted for the latter, the server's creation!!). We felt the German fare was a 'safer' choice, and it worked out just fine. We much-enjoyed our conversations with the chef, and our server -- both very friendly and welcoming hosts!! It was a casual and fun dining experience, and if we're ever able to do it again some time, we do hope to try the Indian fare. A great little dining spot in Revelstoke. read more

For a small mountain town, it's great to find Indian food, and Paramjit's is pretty good. It's not the best Indian food I've had, but was great and filling after a full day of skiing at Revy. We had the Butter Chicken and daily special -- a prawn saffron and curry dish, which was awesome. The naan bread is just ok, not great; it was thin and flat, and didn't seem fresh. Other than that, the flavor in our entrees were great. Nothing was spicy, but I would have liked a bit more kick. The service was good, just laid back. We would come back to try some of their wraps to-go that look awesome for lunch or dinner takeout. read more
