This is a small mom and pop business that operates as a combination restaurant, coffee shop, and little gift shop. It sort of has a hippie vibe to it but after driving through Field that shouldn't be very surprising. It takes a special eclectic person to live in a small town of 169 people. Prices are a bit high but you can't really blame them because everything inside the National Park is expensive. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the lesser priced deli sandwich. No complaints there. It was great. Service was great too and provided with a smile. They can tell who's a tourist and who's a local, and it was nice to see they treated everyone exactly the same. That said, the salmon fillet was actually really good and definitely the highlight of the meal. I just wish they had more food options, as the menu is pretty limited.

I preferred the tea biscuits with the strawberry jelly, but in hindsight, I'd stick with the soup and tea. When else can you stop at a tea house mid-hike! Highly recommend the stop.
