!!! Don't leave here without an ube pao (ube siopao)! Got one on a whim after the cashier lady…read moreasked me if I wanted anything in the warmer right next to her. Super pillowy steamed bun with ube halaya/jam in the center! Great cozy snack. I also tried the chicken asado one; eh, it was alright as the chicken filling was a little too gloopy for my liking. Anyway, yes this mart is ***fantastic*** if you're looking for hard-to-find Asian food goodies. This mart advertises the ability of customers to request specific items to be sold here, and the owners evidently are receptive to such requests (I mean, there's a freezer corner just dedicated to fruit-shaped ice cream lol). Also, I appreciate that interior-wise it's just an old-school bodega-style mart lol nothing overly trendy like j-pop/k-pop blaring in the store. Good shopping experience for me. :p No fuss with lot parking at all when I visited on an early afternoon Sunday.

Most recently, we had a 10% off coupon that stated in large writing it expired in 7 days, only to be told there was a different expiration date hidden in much smaller print. We were only a few hours past the cutoff, and instead of offering any understanding or trying to help, the staff argued about it. Most companies with decent customer service would honor something like that. As someone with 15+ years in customer service, it's disappointing to see an establishment with so much potential fall so short in this area. The staff comes across as cold, monotone, and uninterested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there seems to be little to no manager or lead support available to assist with bigger issues. Unfortunately, the customer service here has been a zero every time I've visited.

I have been searching high and low for mung bean starch everywhere, 99 Ranch, Asian Mart, Seafood Ciy, 168 Market in Vallejo, but no luck. This place had Nem also which I love to eat Nam Khao Tod and so I can now make it myself. They also have fresh Pho noodles (rice noodles) and beef balls. Bonus is that they also sell Lotto!! Happy Shopping Folks, love that I don't have go too far for my Asian grocery!

Stumbled on this little market after having brunch down the way, and was super excited to see all…read morethe grab and go options the had, the fresh produce, variety of Thai sauces, and both savory and sweet treats they had available! My cousin and I spent a good 40 minutes perusing before we made final selections to take home. We love grocery shopping, especially at specialty markets. So this was right up our alley. I ended up grabbing beef salad, pad Thai, and a mixed jelly dessert, along with chips that looked like bugles to try. My cousin grabbed a few grab and go items as well, plus some fresh peppers to take home. The lady working the cash register was super nice! Just a heads up that they do take card, but I think the minimum spend is $10 or something like that (I could be wrong lol). Loved this small Thai market. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a special ingredient, fresh produce, or some food that feels like your auntie cooked it!
