I am writing to share my disappointment with my recent experience at this restaurant. The main issue was that the food quality and serving were not consistent. Some dishes were prepared well, while others were not up to the same standard, which made the experience very unreliable. As a customer, I expect consistency in both taste and presentation. I also noticed staff using their phones while working, which affected the level of attention and service. When I brought my concerns to a staff member named Sherly, I felt that my complaint was not taken seriously and that there was a lack of care in addressing the situation. Overall, the service did not meet expectations, and the issue was not handled professionally. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves consistency, staff attentiveness, and customer service. It was real busy here. Probably cause of Easter weekend. There was a line as usual but glad they still had what we came for. Including the grocery items we came for. All the items we've tried from their hot trays have been good. Especially their palabok, sotanghon, and variety of pancit. And their staff are always helpful and pleasant. The store/restaurant is located in a strip mall surrounded by other businesses. There's a small steam table type setup for hot foods. Ordered lumpia. It was pre-made and cold on the steam table. I imagine if they were heated they would dry out. I loved them! However I have a sensitivity to MSG and so I can't have to many or often. Bah humbug. The ladies working aren't friendly or customer focused. You aren't acknowledged or thanked. No smiles, and they are distracted. My family and I have been coming to 3J's for a minimum of 10 years now. They are our go-to when we want Filipino food but are too lazy to cook it ourselves (mainly for larger family gatherings). The restaurant portion is cafeteria style. There is typically a long line (mainly during peak hours) of folks waiting to order their food, so be prepared for a little wait. For me, some of the food is really good, whereas some of the other dishes aren't. I may just be biased though, since sometimes I just prefer my mom's or aunts' cooking instead. The good thing about 3J's restaurant, however, is that they give you very large portion sizes. As for their Asian grocery store portion, they do have a fairly decent selection of various items. We typically buy our pan de sal, pan de coco, and pan de ube here. My mom typically goes grocery shopping here or the other Asian markets in the area. read more

Went to a Jamaican spot across from here and I discovered this Filipino Market that serves food. $13.99 for a two item. I have to say, for the price it's worth it because they give you so much food. Similar to how Chinese do it. This spot has varieties of dishes. I have to say, it's not bad as far as the flavor, I think some dishes are a bit bland. I've been here twice. I got a Pancit Pancit order to take home on top of my two items. I see that they use a small container to fill up with a lot of Pancit. It's so much that they have to rap it in plastic. Why not just use a bigger container?!? Perhaps it's for marketing? It had more noodles than anything. Rarely any vegetables. They get pretty busy during lunch time, be prepared to wait even when paying. The staff is friendly which helps. I have to go out to Suisun every now and then, I have to say for the price ratio, it's worth it when craving Filipino food. I also know how my family and I can cook. The worse food and service ever we ordered 1400$ worth of food for my mom's memorial service what a big disappointment. Lumpia was cut in half and we were charged for whole one 200$ dollars rip off and then we paid for a dessert that never came. The chicken was disgustingly cut up unrecognizable we didn't even know what parts of the chicken it was. It was disgusting all in all. It was a horrible experience to honor my mom, and that was not fair horrible service and then when I went back to get money back for the dessert that was never brought and to get money back for the lumpia that was overcharged they just did not acknowledge the mistakes they made or the disgusting service and food that was given to us do not buy food here do not shop here. I'm frustrated trying to order party tray in advance. First, I call one month prior (take note, it takes time and so many tries to get someone to pick up their phone on any day and time) to order and was told to order at least 2 weeks prior so they don't lose the order. I did just what I was told and another call again that took many attempts and waiting and was told to call a week prior to my pick up time. Did the same, and was told to call two days prior. And again Im trying to call right now but nobody was picking up. It's just crazy how after being in the same business for years doing the same thing, they still can't come up with a specific and uniform timeframe on when they want you to order via phone. Or if they just don't want to lose the orders, what's stopping them from thinking of efficient ways to avoid doing so rather than having the customer call multiple times. read more

The market area is a hit or miss. They have a few can goods, sweets, condiments, not much on the fresh food options. Freezer section needs to be organized. Was here today and was about to pay for my food, there was this lady next to me who was picking up her tray of chicharon, the cashiers were speaking in Tagalog saying should we charge her for the tray? She is paying for the Chichiron already and it's on a tray so now you want to charge her twice? 1-for the Chichiron and 2 for the tray also? Does it not come with the food? you pay for a party tray? The lady wasn't filipino but just to know how they can be so devious makes me not want to return here ever! My husband ordered pancit to go. It was awful and tasted like a used up kitchen rag (basahan) literally! The taste is still in my mouth ugh . Been here a couple of times and is always dirty, very dirty! I remember the very back portion where the chillers are I saw the kitchen. Small little market in the Marina, but they have your basic Asian cooking needs. There's a little produce section in the back left, and a meat case in the back center. They have a whole hot food set up that is available as early as 9:30 AM. It's hard to come here and not get a few ready made dishes to go when everything smells so good! My personal faves are the pork menudo and combo pancit (two types of noodles). Your dollar goes a long way with the portion sizes. They'll stuff the container until it's absolutely full and can barely close. Then they Saran Wrap the whole thing so no leaks!! Genius, and very customer service friendly if you ask me. The workers are generally very nice and pleasant. Just be nice and they'll be nice back to you. Yes, the accent may be strong if you're not used to this, but just listen carefully and be patient! They DO speak English. They offer a party menu as well, with competitive pricing. Earliest pick up is 10:30 am though. They will not let you place an order too far in advance, as they are concerned it will get lost. Place your order 1-2 weeks from when you actually need it. The cashier will take your order however, if there's a line, you'll probably need to wait at the end unless she has additional help. read more

This is a fantastic place. They got home-cooked food by the kilogram and it's very good. I just tried the mango and it was fantastic. I'm gonna walk out the door with some pants sit of course the staff is nice they make their own homemade imbutido. Any place that may stay homemade fish sausage can't go wrong. This is probably the only all Pinoy grocery stores that mak their own in house fish sausage. That right there I'll get you three stars by yourself so you win. read more

I came to this store for the hot food. I'd been craving sinigang, and a friend recommended 3J's. I went, but they didn't have sinigang that day. I ended up ordering mungo, adobo & pinakbet. The grocery store is very compact. The place did Not have a welcoming atmosphere. Customer service is NOT their strong suit. this place continues to wear gloves without changing. scoops food and have sauce drips off the side which drips down back to the serving tray. some workers will wipe the side of the styrofoam container with washcloth. still same gloves, they reached for a marker in their pocket to mark the container. then they do that over and over again while serving different customers. it's very unsanitary. read more

I didn't even know about this market until my mom told me about it, and I'm glad she did! We were trying to find the seasoning to make kimchi, and this place has it! It's an okay Filipino market. Unorganized and a bit confusing. I wished they had prices up for the meats in the back. Or at least some kind of organization back there. This store is filthy and disgusting! There's people sitting on top of piled sack rice and on top of boxes that don't have business being inside the store. They're selling fish, chicken and I guess pork on ice. But if you come in later the day all the ice melted already and the meat is floating on water which means the display freezer or any means refrigerating the meats doesn't work in this store. That's what I've seen for many years. So using your imagination, what do you think they'll do to the unsold meat from the day before ? I was craving for fish sarsiado so i went here to pick up some Fresh fried tuna steak. They also have all kinds of rice cakes. There was always a line because of the cooked food. I came here for the veggie lumpia and turon. My mom got some kind of stew. I asked for them to put the lumpia and the turon in separate bags and the woman said, "they have to be together." I asked for a small empty container/ cup to try the vinegar I was buying from the store. They charged me $2 for it. They are really cheap and stingy. The customer can't have any say in anything because they all have an attitude. It is also extremely dirty and crowded in the store.
