Long time customer - I love the Vets and the Techs here, they do care about the animals and it is apparent. The main reason I give a low rating is that they appear to be overcharging significantly for services. Be ready to manage their upselling and look into other places to buy and test.. Had a fur baby who got a UTI, I could tell clearly that a UTI was the probable cause. Called and asked if I could simply get a urinalysis and not visit the doctor as doctor visits are $80 regardless of how little it actually does. They told me no... I would have to see a doctor first. We see the doctor, they look at her for 5 minutes and say yep she needs a urinalysis -$80 DOLLARS FOR THAT. I looked past it because we get good care here, we get prescribed antibiotics, and run the course. Get another urinalysis and bacteria is still lingering, they prescribe Clavamox for a ten day regimen, charge $90, I look on chewy for how much it costs... it's $45!!!! So it's twice as expensive because what, I can get it today instead of 2 days from now. Its ridiculous, don't know if I can continue to come here when they seem to just force visits and overpriced meds Not to mention it seems they charge $41 for 25-50 lbs credelio quattro when chewy sells it for $35. Just avoid everything you can when you buy here. If you can get the same thing elsewhere do it. read more

I started out really liking this vet. But lately that has changed. Tonight my dog had a tech appointment and was denied service after driving 30 minutes each way. Prior to the appointment, the front desk called me 3x and never mentioned a wellness exam necessity. Instead of a decent response, the front desk woman shrugged and said oh well they all left. But that is only the most recent. Previously, one of my dogs was put down here and when I was in a week later the same vet asked me if I had ever been there before. I brought in my new male puppy to get a new puppy exam and was admonished that he was a female. I literally had to hold the dog up and show his genitals in order for her to believe me and the kicker? This was after his physical examination. I am a multi-pet customer and I always try to be on time, respectful, and prepared but that is not the service I receive from this practice. If you're looking for the same, look elsewhere as I am. read more

Very disappointed with my experience at Indian Tree. This was my first visit that came as a recommendation from a client of mine. For starters, my particular vet seemed disinterested from the start. It was like pulling teeth to get information and recommendations. She heavily encouraged a tooth cleaning, stating how bad of condition they were in. I've been to three other vets that confirmed that they're not in bad condition and aren't in need of a cleaning. We proceeded with an aural hematoma draining and very little was discussed beyond that. A few days later, my dog's ear has swollen to the point that it was about to burst and he was in a great deal of pain. I took him in for an emergency surgery. Whilst looking back through my bill, I noticed a small comment section mentioning that the draining is almost never a permanent solution and surgery is often required. The vet also recommended switching to a prescription food, but provided very little information. I got home and ordered the new food only to discover that she hadn't included a script for the food. I had to call and email in order to get the proper future estimate and script and they wanted me to drive back to pick them up, instead of just emailing them to me. Inevitably they did, per my request. I went to a new vet and the cost for the same procedures wound up being about half what I was quoted here. Not to mention, the new vet seemed to care about my dog. Ultimately, this vet/clinic seemed very apathetic, overpriced and disorganized. read more

I moved up to Arvada from south Denver about a year ago. I loved my vet down there and was really hesitant to switch to someone new. After I recently lost my bassethound to cancer and having the stress of driving across Denver to get him treated and looked at and not having any one I trusted closer, I decided to give a new vet a try. We recently adopted a puppy to be a companion for the fur baby we still have and decided to pull the trigger on a new vet since our new puppy needed vaccinations and check ups. I can't say enough good things about Indian Tree. Even through the restrictions of COVID, I had a great experience at our first visit. The staff is friendly and I immediately knew my new fur baby was safe with them. They followed up with us the day after, even though his visit was routine, just to see how he was doing. Customer service and compassion is huge for me, and Indian Tree has both. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby. We're happy to have Indian Tree as our home vet! read more

We are generally pretty happy with the Doctors and Technicians at Indian Tree, but the front desk experience needs some work. Whoever is in charge of the office management/ordering seems to have a hard time understanding inventory management to ensure enough prescription dog food stays in-stock to accommodate everyone who requires RX food for their dog. Every time I need dog food they are out of stock and "waiting on an order" but can never seem to say exactly when an order will be in. Even when I pre-pay and order a week in advance, they still can't manage to get it in stock when they said it would be ready, and the few times I have ordered ahead I have to call in and ask for an update instead of them being proactive. I'd rather buy directly from Indian Tree, but I have no choice but to buy from the big chains like Petsmart or online options because running out of RX food really isn't an option and I just can't count on Indian Tree to have food when they say they will. I hope they find a better solution soon. read more

We've been taking our cats to Indian Tree since we first adopted them five years ago. Dr. Wang is always easy to talk to and is very sweet and patient with our cats. She handles them well and does her best to make sure they're comfortable. She's knowledgeable and takes the time to answer all of our questions. The clinic seems well organized and communicates well, and there's usually not much of a wait for a room. They also follow up with us after vaccines or special treatments to make sure the cats are doing okay. The whole staff seems to genuinely love and care about animals. Highly recommend! read more

I always feel I have been overcharged for any appointment. I took my cat in for a FVRCP vaccine and had to pay for an exam even though she had the same exam 3 months ago. Long wait in the parking lot to drop off and even longer (almost 15 minutes) wait to pick up after they took my credit card payment. We have 4 pets and it would be greatly appreciated if they offered a multi pet or senior citizen discount. Years ago when this business was small, they offered decent prices and services. Now it's almost a factory for charging top dollar. More than once our expected pet checkup ended up costing hundreds more with all of their recommended tests and blood work. It seems they make recommendations without looking at your pet's history. Example, my dog had a tooth fall out and they wanted to perform an exam, teeth cleaning and x-rays even though they saw him one month earlier and commented his dental condition was excellent. If you have a pet emergency, don't bother calling. They will just tell you to call a 24-hour clinic. It does not matter they have been seeing your pet for many years. If anyone in the Arvada area knows of a vet who is more interested in helping you to take care of your pets then high fees, please let me know. read more

My dog Harry had just got home that day from having his eyes removed due to his diabetes issues and he was not doing well. I was told to take him to get his blood glucose tested ASAP and Indian tree animal was the closest to my house and was closing in five minutes. I called them and told them my situation and was told if I could make it there in 5 minutes I could be seen. I didn't make it there until 10 after and they unlocked the door and let me and my little buddy in to be seen. Turns out Harry needed hospital care, when he got to the hospital I was faced with the decision to humanly utheinize him or admit him immediately...Harry spent three and a half days in hospital care and is now home, happy and getting back to his new normal. Happy to say Harry is getting his stitches out this Thursday at Indian tree animal hospital and an appointment the following Monday to address his diabetes. Indian Tree is now the primary care location for HANDSOME Harry and his elder sister Sweet Sadie May. I owe Harry's life to the staff of Indian tree and an extra thank you to Dr. Ferral for caring for HANDSOME Harry and suggesting hospitalization that night. Thanks again see you Thursday! read more

Overview: Dr. Josa - wonderful Jenna at the front desk - amazing Pricing - unfortunately what you expect for a vet visit Red haired woman at front desk- would not recommend/ avoid at all costs Dr. Josa who saw my golden retriever today was really wonderful and personable which is why I'm leaving 3 stars, she sat on the floor with my pup and answered all of my many questions. But I have to agree with all of the other reviews that the front desk woman who takes payment is terrible. Jenna who also works at the front desk is kind and really makes an effort to make you and your fur baby comfortable and feel welcome. She even went as far as calling my fur baby a kiddo while I was making the appointment over the phone with her which was a very nice/ comforting touch. The other woman (with the red hair) makes the business look bad. She was rude from the moment I approached the counter and even worse when we ran into a hiccup. The eye rolls and bitchy looks are hard to overlook. She was dismissive and rude when I had a question for the vet about a script that was being filled and rolled her eyes at Jenna when Jenna went to go get clarification for me, which was so nice of her. There is no reason to be rude to someone ever, but especially not in an already stressful situation (like having a fur baby need medical attention). This woman clearly hates her job which ruined what was seeming to be a good experience in a stressful situation. It's sad to say that one person can ruin an experience, but it really is true. I like to look at the positives in life, but it's hard to let a rude person like that roll off in that situation. On pricing which seems to be a concern in some of the reviews. I found the pricing to be about the average gouge for a vet visit. The initial visit was $61, $60 to clean and clip a face wound, $80 for heart worm testing, $30 for the cone of shame, $80 for ear infection results, $200 every 4 weeks for an allergy shot, plus medications. read more

I am broken hearted and trying to understand the lack of care given to animal care in this society. It has turned into a money fur factory. I brought my 9 year old cat to Indian Tree because she was having dental issues and an infection and was not eating......losing weight and I was very concerned. Two days prior I had her at the ER for same issue and was told she was all OK except for infection and teeth needed to be addressed. At Indian Tree I asked them if they could give her nutrition they said no....advised surgery at $1800.00 to remove these teeth and address the infection. The veterinarian injected her with more medications and an appetite enhancing medication....two days later my cat was in heart failure and I had to put her down. I am beyond heart broken and I want answers. This cat got me through the last year of cancer treatments and I feel I completely let her down. Broken over this. read more

She noticed a tumor on her upper gumm, and gave me specialist to call. Was able to get KC into CSU dental to get this treated . Dr Wong's care and quick response. Our dog had a tumor removed about two weeks ago and her bandage fell off on a Saturday afternoon when our normal vet's office was closed. We frantically called around a few vet's offices and Indian Tree was able to get us in right away. They were super friendly and got our pup all fixed up! Our dog was clearly very nervous and the nurse and the vet were so calm and gave her lots of love. I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic! read more

I was very selective when we moved here in what vet I would use. My dogs have seen multiple vets here depending on who is available and they are all excellent. Many have additional certifications or specialties, but all have impressive education and experience. They get excited to see my dogs and make it a very individualized experience. Their hours are flexible for people who work, and their waiting room is a good set up where pets don't always see each other and plenty of space to spread out. They do a good job not letting their waiting room fill up, though too. And I love that they text or email you a few days or week after the visit to make sure things are still going well, but that if I'm too busy to reply they don't keep bugging me. Highly highly recommend this practice!! I do wish they could refer or recommend kennel services they trust though. There are so many and I would feel better if I had their recommendation for one they trust. read more

Wow... where to start! Unless you where born with a silver spoon in your mouth you can't afford this animal hospital! Almost $700 for shots, bloodwork which I actually refused, but still got charged. My refusal was noted in my invoice. Over $800 to neuter my new rescue cat! $800 DOLLARS! So, it's maybe a 15 minute surgery. It takes longer to get the cat put under then the surgery! Controlling the very serious and problematic pet population is not their concern at all! Money is their concern!!! The receptionist is very kind and helpful. The facility is clean and organized. They got my dog in for an appointment quickly. The vet took the time to examine my dog, do some testing and came back with the results within minutes. This was for a skin test. Turns out my dog had a skin infection. I got meds to treat the infection as well as provide my dog comfort. I was given very clear instructions for administration. She was understanding when I explained my dog is going to tear apart any cone or sock and reconvened apple sour spray to prevent licking the wound. I got a call the next day to check on my dog and see how he is doing. That was a nice touch read more

Horrible experience here, will never take another pet here again. Made the decision to spay my french bulldog here unfortunately. The severely over priced spay incision and sutures look like they were done in the back of an alley by a random person, not an actual veterinarian in an office. Scar is going to be horrible, lumpy and crooked down her stomach. Decided to remove teeth that I did not approve during the surgery (and charge me for it.) Follow up appointment to check incision was supposed to be included in the over $1,000 we spent, was told by the vet day of pick up verbally about no cost incision check to make sure its healing properly, and they decided to bait and switch me. Having problems with her jagged incision and thought there might be infection, so I booked the follow up. AFTER the "free" follow up appointment, they decided that that was not the case and I needed to pay another $100 for the appointment and that was a "miscommunication" Money hungry, extremely unprofessional and rude staff, mediocre at best services, and they bait and switch you with their already extremely high pricing at the last minute. Don't trust their word or even the invoice, they will "surprise" charge you with whatever they can every single time. Much better veterinarians in our area that don't take advantage of their customers with professional staff who deserve your business. read more
