This is hands down the best vet in CO and probably the country. I started with them in 2015 when I lived close and someone recommended them. I moved 2 HOURS away in 2019, and 6 mo later my dog had a major problem. So much so I went to vets around my new home however went back to Legacy for a 2nd opinion. Since then, they have been my only vet. My dog had an extremely aggressive cancer, and they got him through, not only that EVERYONE employed there knew his name every time we walked through the door. When you are going through something like that, the little things like knowing his name at the door make a huge difference. When the founder/head medical vet comes in and says "if this was my dog, I'd do xx", it comforts me. Don't take your pet anywhere, go here and you won't regret it at all!

26 hours after vet appointment with Legacy Veterinary Clinic

CAT DIED 26 HOURS LATER AFTER THE FIRST VISIT! I scheduled my healthy cat of 12 years' first appointment with Dr. Kaveh Sarhangpour for a hyperthyroid check-up. In addition, he recommended I draw blood for further testing and x-rays of her chest. 1 Chemistry 17, CBC, Lytes for 195.00 1 Office Visit for 62.00 1 Total T4 for 84.00 1 Ultrasound, Guided Cystocentesis for 32.00 1 Urinalysis, Complete for 74.00 1 Radiograph, Primary View for 98.00 1 Radiograph Set Up and Interpretati for 64.00 1 Radiograph, Secondary View for 64.00 1 Fluid Administration, SQ, up to 200 for 46.00 60 Felimazole 2.5 mg* for 39.60 0.27 Convenia 80 mg/ml* for 51.39 Plus Taxes 7.92 Total 817.91 Without me, they took her to the back for tests and injected her with medication. Afterward, Dr. Kaveh Sarhangpour told me, "Your cat is going to live for at least another ten years!" He assured me there were no major concerns to her health. He indicated no cancerous signs or infections of any type. The moment I took my cat home, she was showing symptoms of not breathing. The following day I was contacted by the clinic and was asked to return my cat. Once again Dr. Kaveh Sarhangpour recommended more medication. 1 Examination, Medical Progress, Fol for 48.00 1 Depo-Medrol (20 mg/ml)* for 52.92 Tax 4.60 Total, 105.52 Two hours later, SHE COULD NOT BREATH. I rushed her to urgent animal care where she died. The only option left was euthanized. After the care of this doctor and over 900 dollars for chest X-rays, blood work, and urine tests, and said she would be okay and live a long life, precisely word for word. As of 9/18/22, 26 hours after being examined and treated by Dr. Kaveh Sarhangpour my cat was dead. After researching the medication he injected her with, the side effects, as research shows he should not have given this treatment to animals with thyroid conditions. He injected her without any precaution or side effects that would give her a blood clot in her heart. Monday morning he called apologizing for my cat's death with no explanation for her death. I have attached what my cat looked like the day before I took her to the Legacy Vet Clinic and what she looked like 26 hours later.

There are no words capable of sufficiently conveying my gratitude to Legacy and the truly wonderful people who make it what it is --- the best veterinary hospital one could ever hope to find. Our beloved cats are treated like royalty, given truly the best and most compassionate care. Doctors Canepea and Sarhangpour always take all the time necessary and know just what to do. Our cats mean the world to us, and we rest secure in the knowledge that they have available the best possible care we could ask for --- Legacy. We would be lost without you!

I have a 7.5 week old puppy and it is limping. I received a diagnosis at another vet and just questioned it. I did not want my dog having permanent leg issues. Dr. Sarhangpour saw me on short notice and confirmed the diagnosis and made me definitely feel better! The whole experience at Legacy was amazing. I was very worried but everybody there made it a wonderful experience! To name a few, Michelle welcomed me warmly and Autumn assisted the Doctor and Miranda loved on my puppy on my way out! Thank you to everybody I encountered for such a pleasant visit! Lilo and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Anyway, I have been taking my two dogs and now my bird to Church Ranch for over a year now and have only had good experiences. I wanted to take the time to write this review finally because I had to make a very difficult decision this weekend in regards to one of my sweet, sweet dogs. Unfortunately, she had to be euthanized. It was a horrible thing to happen and I'm still extremely heartbroken over the sudden loss, but I wanted to write a review and thank Dr. Kay and the staff at Church Ranch Veterinary. From start to finish, they were extremely kind, considerate, and empathetic toward my situation. From the front desk to staff to the veterinary technical that helped, they were all extremely warm and compassionate during my dark hour. It was an awful thing to have to do, but Church Ranch had a special room so I could be with my dog during the process. It was a tranquil room with lots of dog treats and peanut butter for her to enjoy toward the end. I've never had to do this with a dog before, but the staff explained everything that would happen from start to finish even before the process started so I knew what to expect. I knew this was coming all week and had been dreading it deeply, so the care and assistance I got from everyone at Church Ranch was very helpful. They made me feel like I wasn't alone and I appreciate that deeply. I'm sorry my girl is gone, but I'm glad it happened at Church Ranch.

The front desk can be a little bit overly sensitive some times, and they can't seem to keep employees in that position for very long, staff is never the same it seems. With that said, even with the changing staff, the front desk is always very sweet to my pets, which is all I really care about. They are also good about honoring the things they say they will do and send to me, and always willing to work with me and be transparent about costs. Even though the staff changes often, 9 times out of 10, they hire people that have a good heart and clearly love animals, which is the most important thing. Overall, this has been my vet office of choice for 5 years or so now. They do seem to really care, they make my pet feel comfortable and happy, they work with you, they are transparent, professional, and I think they do a really good job overall.

We are glad to confirm that we experienced no issues and will most definitely come back in the future. Setting up an appointment was fairly easy and took literally less than ten minutes online, and the clinic followed up later to confirm our information. The vets were very helpful with providing info on post partum symptoms and our newborn kittens. Miso is also typically sassy around new people, but she definitely connected with the doctors here. - They even gave her some treats for the road! I brought my nine-year-old Pomeranian to Animal Urgent Care after a seizure because his regular…read moreveterinarian had not yet opened. I approved bloodwork to look for metabolic causes of the seizure. The bloodwork was useful and ultimately showed no obvious peripheral cause. What I found frustrating was discovering that an IV catheter had also been placed at a charge of $120. I do not recall consenting to catheter placement; I recall specifically consenting to the bloodwork. No fluids or medications were administered through the catheter during his visit. The medical record states that catheter placement was approved, which does not match my recollection of the conversation. After several hours, the treatment provided consisted of examination/observation, bloodwork and placement of the unused catheter. Hospitalization for continued neurologic observation was recommended, which I declined in favor of taking him home and following up with his regular veterinarian, who knows his neurologic history and current medications. I understand why an emergency clinic might want IV access available in case another seizure occurs. My concern is not that the clinicians considered it medically reasonable; my concern is that a $120 procedure was performed that I do not believe I authorized, and I did not understand until later that the catheter had not been used to administer any treatment. In an emergency, owners are frightened and making decisions quickly. Clear communication about what is being proposed, what it costs, whether it is diagnostic, therapeutic or precautionary, and obtaining explicit consent before proceeding are extremely important. My primary concern is the IV catheter and the lack of consent. The catheter had already been placed before the veterinarian came to speak with me. I was never asked whether I authorized placement of an IV catheter, and I was never told that it would cost $120. What I was specifically asked to authorize was the emergency/triage evaluation and the bloodwork, which I approved. The medical record subsequently states "IVC placement approved." That is not an accurate account of what occurred. I did not approve catheter placement. By the time the veterinarian discussed the diagnostic plan with me, the catheter was already in my dog. It was never used to administer medication or IV fluids. When I decided to take him home, I also had to specifically request that it be removed. Ultimately, I paid $610 and left without any treatment having been administered to my Pomeranian for the seizure--no seizure medication, no fluids, and no other therapeutic intervention. I understand that examination, bloodwork and observation have value, but for our particular situation this emergency visit was not worth the cost or the additional stress to my dog and me. In the future, I will make a seizure-management plan with his regular veterinarian so I know exactly when emergency care is warranted. His regular veterinary clinic opened approximately 40 minutes after I arrived here; in retrospect, I wish I had kept him safely confined and comfortable and waited for his own veterinarian. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic.
