    "Sirloin steak"

One star is too many stars for these people. The first part of our experience was walking into their incredibly bad smelling storefront to pick up our order. Needless to say everything's gone downhill from there. Their meat processing is shockingly bad I had half a cow process there this year and it has been a terrible experience. I included photos of what they're calling a sirloin steak. It has a huge bone in the middle more bone than meat. This is the second sirloin steak. I've opened with weird bones in it. The other picture is of what they're calling stew meat you can see how brown and discolored the meat is Had random cut marks in it. I guess it's a you cut stew meat as I had to finish cutting it into chunks of meat myself for stew. I'm pretty sure they replaced the meat I took in with whatever garbage they had left over every package I'm open has disgusting brown spots where they let it get oxidized too much and didn't trim it properly. I had some of the cow process into the teriyaki sticks. They are terrible. It taste rancid even though I immediately cut them up and put them in the freezer to be stored safely. It's like they've already gone bad as soon as you open them. I would definitely steer clear if you care about getting an edible product back every package I open from them is bigger disappointment than the last truly horrific what they did to that poor grass fed cow.

    tourist trap-things to do!

The BEST place to find smoked salmon and any other smoked stuff you want (reindeer meat etc.). This place was recommended by a guy all the way in Homer. Definitely worth a trip. They have cute tourist-trap things outside that you can get your picture taken with, too.

Indian Valley meats is a must stop and hidden gem in all of Alaska. Everything is quite expensive and price gouged in Alaska, but not this place. Indian Valley meats offers a wide variety of meats including Buffalo, reindeer, elk, salmon, and so much more for a steal of a price. There are items here that start from one dollar and up, unheard of from any souvenir or meat shop in Alaska.

Our family loves Indian Valley Meats! We take our fish and game meat to be processed here every year. Everyone is so nice!

Outstanding meat and game processing. I particularly like their bratwurst and ice cream. Nice drive up the arm too.

I've only gone there to get wild game processed, but they do that extremely well. A bit pricey, but you pay for quality.

We sat both inside and outside, and of course you can't beat outside on a nice day. Service is attentive and patient. They try to put us and our kids far away from the other customers which I appreciate (as I'm sure the others do too). The vibe is a little nicer than casual, I think you could make this a cute date night or a quick stop on the way to Girdwood or the peninsula. They have a good selection of draft beers and their food is great. I had the Caesar both times, but also tried their salmon burger and lemon spaghetti, which I shared with the kids. My recommendation for kids is to skip the basket of fries and get tots instead. I don't care for the skin on fries as much, but the tots were perfect. They seem to have a lot of interesting, fresh specials like a halibut Reuben that I'm sure is tasty. It's a great little destination when you want to get out of the house in the summer but don't want to do the same old spots in Anchorage. Check them out, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Had the special Halibut Enchilada, perfect portions and a new dish for me. Awesome! Spouse had the special Halibut Reuben, and was very happy with that choice. Other guest had the special Salmon Burger. Everybody loved their choices and would happily recommend as a stop before or after skiing or trip down Seward this summer.
