i discharged from ICFR Bloomington a bit over two weeks ago. Im 19. I was sent there for mental health by my primary doctor because I needed EMDR but insurance wouldn't cover it elsewhere. ICFR told me that I would have access to an individual therapist. I got neither they just kept telling me over and over that they'll get me into it. They'll get me into it. They'll get me into it and then they never did. After staying there for over three weeks, I got neither individual therapy or EMDR at all. During my stay there, I also went to the ER two times. The nurse at the facility almost killed me because of pills she diagnosed me. I was on 12 different medication's all at the same time because they wouldn't stop prescribing me things and they also gave me propanolol, which people with asthma are unable to take because it can shut their lungs down. I have severe asthma. I ended up in the ER because of a mix of propanolol, Zoloft, and prestique. I didn't feel like myself or like I was in my own body. It was horrifying. The second time I went to the ER, I had woken up in the PHP house and started throwing up blood nonstop. I was told to go see the nurse as soon as I got to the group meeting place because they didn't want to take me to the ER yet. I waited 40 minutes in intense pain like I was dying because the nurse was in a meeting and refused to see me. I had originally been sitting in the techs office right outside her door because moving was awful but they kept forcing me to walk elsewhere to other places in the building. I ended up bursting into her office in the middle of her meeting and collapsing in the doorway because I was in so much pain. 40 minutes of intense pain is what it took from them to take me to the ER. at the ER we found out I was internally bleeding because of a stomach hernia, and I had two ovarian cysts, one of which had ruptured. Upon discharge from the ER, I had asked them if I could leave. I was told I needed surgery and was far from home and was in so much pain I wanted to just go. They told me my situation "wasn't life or death" and even had the audacity to ask that I stay two more weeks. I forced myself to stay a few more days and then I left because the pain was too much and I was horrified that they were gonna put me on more meds that would put me back in the ER. The techs, while most of them are really sweet, don't seem to care about your overall health. As I stated earlier in the review, I have severe asthma. On the little transport vans to go to the group buildings people are not supposed to vape because of the instance somebody has asthma. there was a girl who would blow her vape into my face every chance she got and it would send me into asthma attacks. my other roommates would tell her to stop it and she kept doing it. None of the techs did anything. It even went as far as her doing it inside the house we had to stay in together I went through so much albuterol just because they refused to tell somebody that they could not vape in the van or indoors. Outside of these few scenarios, I also would like to add that this entire place is insanely unorganized. The dont have all that qualified therapists. their therapists are people they hire that they send to go to get their therapist license. half of them are barely qualified for what they need to do. Three people in my house went to the ER, and one of my roommates got sexually harassed so many times without them doing anything that she left in the middle of the night. Plus another one of my roommates rebroke her wrist, twisted her ankle and broke her knee because ICFR had a really messed up pathway they refused to fix. That poor woman stayed for a whole week like that. And when I was first admitted, I was struggling to do the UDS because they have to stand there and stare at you while you do it. I understand why they do it, but I have never once touched a substance or done any- I don't do that. I was literally only there strictly for mental health. They ended up putting me in detox with this random tech. The tech, any time a staff member would pass her, would tell them that I was pushed onto her and was mad that she had to sit there and watch me. I sat in the group room of their detox building and bawled my eyes out because I felt like such a burden and it was awful. and I have a fear of men. So two specific techs were called to show me around and neither were available at the given time that I did manage to get through the screen, so she threw a fit about it and went on to continue to yell at people that I was pushed onto her. And Literally nobody can keep accurate information and they'll either give you the wrong information or they just won't know at all. you basically just kind of have to F around and find out to figure out what's going on most of the time or ask the other patients and even then they dont know either. This place was the most stressful experience of my life and I could not suggest it to anybody. read more

I will never forget this place It was the most traumatizing experience of my life. I went for mental health after I watched my 22 year old go through 4 years of cancer treatment for stage 4 metastatic cancer diagnosed at 22 after just having a baby. I was so mat the world so depressed I wasn't functioning .They did overtime that it was a mental health facility I specifically asked if it was a detox and wad told no. First lie The second day I was I interviewed by Dawn the nurse at the time for around d 30 min and diagnosed with a severe addiction to lorazapan which I take as needed and offered them my med recs and pharmacy records The second day I talked to Max about this was not the place for me and the threats started.We won't get you back to airport I would be responsible for bill blag blah I gave up that fight I Wes worried about selling my house and having them chase me for services not rendered. The groups and the few short sessions I went to the questions asked were all about addiction I'm sure due to Nurse saying g I had severe addiction I gave up what was I going to do so I spent days just documenting things like my blood pressure going up over 180 from anxiety and being ignored from. Nurses who I diont think had a clue what to do about it Never mind no decav available or Tha food the serve from outside vendors that a lot of people couldn't eat I asked for 4 days for bland diet but regardless left there 12 pounds lighter that when I entered. I even had .y husband call a lawyer for what they were doing. When the day for me to leave I was shuttled to airport but missed flight I was 2 hours late I had to get my own flight home and pay for it I was lucky I had a credit card but what about people that do not .So disgusted this treatment allowed .On the way home I had them send my med recs.I read every page so many discrepancies in those records including counselors I didn't meet with but notes where in there. The owners are crooks look at The Hiv drug scandal they were involved with in Florida Mickail and kerill vesselov Shows how they work They own pharmacy's in fl where drug screens are sent I know I provided one urine when I first got there and found d they billed that same dated urine for another screen. So deceptive I also on release received my meds back but really weird I had 3 differant Chester's meds in same bottle.I brought them to my pharmacist and he told me he's never seen 3 differant pills all the same in a prescription I threw out all meds from them I have read so.ewhere the rehabs who have their own pharmaciestake your meds and redistribute to other patients Please get your med recs quick when you leave I sent all to bcbs and talked with them about fraud.I also wrote a complaint to Atty General local newspapers. Conso.er groups and Dept of justice Yes they did not respond I e en wa talking to a well known lawyer in Califor ia about themThay have multiple rehabs allover the state There is so .much fraud these owners are involved with .ore you dig more you find. I have my notes med rec medication all in one place in case I need them for whatever reason Just goes to show the assu.tions being made when you try to communicate to these agencies when they assume you are a drug addict. Disgraceful asthe drs treating my daughter as a drug seeker when her complaints ts were rectal bleed and stomach pain She suffered fo years before one er Dr kept her overbite for colonoscopy to fi d out it's cancer of colon. When they did Colonectomy it was at stage 4 metastized to liver and lungs. We all fell apart. Seeing her go through 5 surgeries chemo etc was heart breaking At so.e point I was so overwlmed and I rhi k close to a mental breakdown I de idea to check in for the depression and anxiety They took total advantage of me and my emotions for financial gain Its a dam shame they get away with it I have my detailed records from my Dr and .y therapist which I offered every one of them to look at and call my Dr.They are only I terested in your insurance money. I hope they all sleep at night In the meantime I have .y records notes etc Just waiting to use it if need be No mental Health at this place!! read more

PLEASE DON'T SEND SOMEONE YOU LOVE HERE! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY WHAT MUST BE FAKE REVIEWS!!!! I just left there a few days ago. I am sicker for having been there. They isolate you from the outside world. Allowed, if possible, a five minute phone call that they TRANSCRIBE the whole time. Cut you off. I couldn't even say I love you to my husband before they hung up. They lie to get you there. I am (just got out of that "prison") suffering from chronic pain with a two month long migraine as well as having severe mental illness problems causing suicidal ideations. They told my husband they could help me with both. Had doctors and treatments for my pain plus all I needed for my mental health. Orientation Day ONE...person running it admitted they lie to get you to come there. Everything on the phone? TALKED TO YOU BY PEOPLE in Florida while all of these centers are in Indiana. They might have the audacity to make up a diagnosis for you because you are incredibly emotional? Apparently people with chronic pain can't break down in tears. I was so upset all the time, ignored when asking to speak with someone for DAYS because you are trying to leave, or even for the fact I was in severe need of medical help! Lost 10 pounds in little over a week from vomit due to how bad my migraine was and all they gave me was Advil. I was bedridden the entire time I was so sick. Leaving AMA is anyone's right! Except here! I stated on a Friday to at least Friday I wanted to go home. I was ignored. Given the runaround. Told my husband I was belligerent and wouldn't talk to them but I was trying to enforce my right for AMA. One lied and said they talked to my husband but they didn't. THEY SHOULDN'T BE TALKING TO HIM WITHOUT ME PRESENT WHEN I'M NOT A DANGER TO MYSELF OR OTHERS! That is illegal based on their handbook. I was treated like I didn't matter. I was insignificant because I wasn't like everyone else since I was PHYSICALLY sick and in need of help! So I was treated like I didn't matter like everyone else did. So the final straw... My left arm goes numb and my level 10 migraine I've had for 2 months is showing stabbing pains in the back of my head. It was like a fight to get help from NURSES!!!! Took 20 minutes for them to realize I needed to go to the ER. Someone took me. And just dropped me off. I have no ID. No insurance card. They keep all that from you. But that wonderful hospital helped me, called my husband, he drove 3 hours to come to the hospital, and he made the decision to take me home. We go back to that "prison" to get my things, they have to call some mental facility "czar" to sit and rub his chin to decide if he will let me go. My husband had to get ON him that I'm SICK. Physically sick! I need help with that too or I won't get mentally better!!! So this man stands next to me and WATCHES me pack my things? And we barely get my meds back (hell, they kept one over the counter one because they were using it for everyone!) And they don't give you cell phone back until you are walking OUT the door. So tell me that's a good place for ANYONE, whether they need mental health support or not? PLEASE DO NOT SEND SOMEONE YOU LOVE HERE! They do more damage than good. There must be better options! ANYONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED BETTER! read more

When I first realized I needed help for my addictions, I looked all over my home state of Michigan. I called a few places that seemed decent, but most wouldn't accept me. I was blessed to have found the Indiana Center for Recovery (ICFR) after doing some more research. The first time I called, Chuck who works at their Florida center, answered the phone. He was so kind, compassionate, and caring as he walked me through my phone intake. After that was completed, he told me to wait by the phone as he called my insurance company to make sure I would be covered. Within 10 minutes, he called me back, he told me my insurance would cover the treatment program and even had my deductible amount. ready then. The day after that, he called to check in on me as I set out on my journey to ICFR. On my way down here, I was contacted a couple of times by the first of so many amazing techs I was about to meet named Danielle, to check on my progress and to see how I was doing. Danielle also did my intake, even though my anxiety was sky high, she found a way to me laughing through my intake. I finished the PHP program after 30 days. Each day was full of new information to teach me about my disease, new coping skills to deal with my stressors, and 12-step AA meetings. We also have regular community activities. After my 30 days were done, I graduated and was able to transition to their IOP program, which I've now been in for about 4 weeks. I continue to get a plethora of support as each day goes by from the staff, which most have overcome their own addictions, and the community here as they work on healing themselves. I consider ICFR to be my best blessing yet, without it I would still be miserable, suicidal, and not about to manage my overly chaotic life I had created over time. read more

When my daughter decided she was ready for the help she needed , we started searching the Internet . ICFR name came up, we made the phone call. We registered over the phone. We made the long ride , and was the best decision ever! She went through the Detox, she went through several phases they call them . She was eventually challenge even more by being put into a house near by with lots of structure. She attended classes from 9-4. We personally had family phone secession with a therapist . We had family day this past weekend. I was so proud of everything ICFR has taught her! The Family Day was excellent program for family members and loved ones to work out some issues, a game plan moving forward with boundaries . Excellent job ! Jackie's presentation was all that ,and more. Beating all of our expectations in her delivery of all the material and help guiding family members through the process with out our loved ones , and then with them. The Food prepared there on the spot was excellent as well ! My daughter is 51 days clean and sober for the first time in 14 years. 5 stars on Family day! The structure they have shown and given my daughter,has been amazing! Thank you for all the staff , Alumni , Chef, and volunteers who help transform her back to the road of recovery! The day I called ICFR for help followed several days of the darkest time of my life, living through another episode of major depression. The team was kind enough to pick me up at home and admitted me to their place right away. Unsurprisingly it was a hard time for me, especially during the first couple of weeks. The approach this clinic uses comprises of very intensive Therapy, based on the latest insights from neuroscience, combined with finding the matching medication to correct the neuro-chemical imbalance. The team did an outstanding job engaging the therapy groups (3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon, 6 days a week. Did I already say it was a hard time?). It is invaluable to share and learn from experience and challenges everybody faces. After a few weeks I was ready to go back home, opening a completely new page of my life with a great toolset of coping techniques which I'm using regularly to address any upcoming issues right away. Being happy and very stable now for a few years I can say that my quality of life has improved dramatically thanks for the great care the ICFR team provided. Absolutely disgrace of a place. They will tell you what you want to hear on the phone to get you there, If you think you are going to get any mental health help you wont find it here. They are extremely money motivated and shady in their practiced Owners were recently charged down in Florida for a fraud scheme against the same people they are supposedly trying to help. My experience at ICFR was genuinely positive. The staff and technicians were approachable and always ready to help whenever something came up. When I faced a challenge or needed support, they were attentive and respectful, which made a big difference in comfort level. The daily routine was rigorous. Eight hours a day, every day of the week, felt pretty intense for a stretch, and at times I wished there was a bit more downtime to recharge emotionally. Even so, the structure kept things moving and helped build a sense of progress over time. As a former client and former employee, who has worked in treatment for several years. The staff that work here are some of the most caring I've had the pleasure of meeting with. The clinical staff is bar far the best in the state and rivals some of the best I've been apart of. Being a client I can attest to the fact that they lay down the foundation for you to start you life and help get back on track. They have a 90% job placement success rate once you graduate the php program. They help you with obtaining a GED. Yes there is rent due once you are in IOP, less than 100$ a week. Groups were very helpful for me during Res and PHP. Being able to talk to other clients about our experiences helped me feel way less alone in what I was going through. The structure during Res and PHP was a huge benefit, and I made the most progress during those two levels of care. There were specific techs that made my treatment experience better and made me feel comfortable here - Cadence, McKenna, Maddie, Suzanne, Colton, and Alexis are some great examples. Lola and Heather were also massive parts of why my time at ICFR was even a little bit successful. Both of them made huge impacts on my life and were easily the best part of my treatment, at least when it comes to staff. read more
