This KOA has beautiful sites. Shade at every spot. We got here very late (11:30pm) and we were able to find our site with no difficulties. Deluxe pull through sites have patios. The pool is more oriented towards children but there are plenty of lounge chairs for sunning. Very friendly staff. The camp store is smaller but they have plenty of items to check out. I would definitely stay here again! read more

Inconsiderate people... Would not recommend!!! I broke down and needed to cancel the reservations I had made the night before... We made a reservation over a year ago and paid a one night deposit. When we arrived, we were charged over 20% more than the price we agreed to when we booked. I questioned this and the young girl working at the front desk who, I believe, is the daughter of the owner eventually said "the price changed from the contract". When I pointed out that yes, this was exactly the issue, she called the police and said she was going to have them kick my entire family out. I made no threats and was only at the front desk for ten minutes. The conversation is recorded, so I'd be happy to provide that if the campground disputes this. The sheriff officer listened to the recording and wasn't sure why the girl called them. He took my phone number and asked the owner to give me a call. The deputy called me later and said that the owner said he refuses to discuss it and that we can pursue the matter in the courts. I'd urge anyone reading this to look around the area for another campground. From reading older reviews, it sounds like their issues aren't limited to calling the sheriff on guests for questioning an attempt to rip them off. read more

It's a KOA, you should have a pretty good idea of what you're getting into. Quite high rate for what you're getting. The pool is really nice for kids, not so much for adults, it is too small and shallow. My biggest issues with this place are that they have coin operated washers and dryers, but not a change machine or soap vending (when it pours and the office is closed you're out of luck) and the bathroom is ridiculously hot. For the above premium rate charged, they should be able to put in some sort of fan or ventilation system. All of the staff were great, very friendly people. read more

I stay at a lot of KOAs as I travel with my dog. The grounds are decent here, but if you want any privacy you won't get it here. Every pull thru site shares a patio with its neighbor, so plan on getting cozy if you want to eat outside or have a fire. Plus, I have never seen a more sarcastic set of campground rules. Should be ZERO stars. Customer service is very poor, employees especially the manager is very rude. It was a literal mud hole to camp in and we had to hunt someone down to cut trees back to even back in and pull out our awning. We camped with a group, was told a concierge refund was going to be made if we were out by 4pm Sunday and we could just pay $5 extra late fee per hour from 11-4. Checked out at 12:00, was charged the $5 and no refund for the Sunday night we didn't stay. We all booked Sunday night in case we couldn't be out on time. The employee there offered to do this for us, not something we asked for. Management will not honor what we were told, handled it unprofessionally and rude. Corporate contacted due to the unacceptable treatment from the manager and I have yet to hear ANYTHING from the "owners" of this campgrounds. Honestly, the place is super spread out and a whole area is segregated from the main areas (pool, playground etc) and the area around is sketchy. You will be much better off finding somewhere else to stay! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND !! read more

First of all, I want to say, I am NOT a camper. I am a hotel, Gatlinburg-type cabin kind of girl. We only stayed here because my sister IS a camper and she asked us to meet her. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which sleeps 7. It was smaller than we are used to but cozy. The amenities were nice. I loved having coffee, filters, hand soap in the bathroom AND the kitchen, dishwashing liquid, and hand towels. These are things that I don't usually get in my "Gatlinburg" cabins and other places I've been to. Beautiful campground, close to the pool, close to a playground, and friendly horses to feed. But the #1 thing I liked about my weekend visit to KOA Greenfield were the workers! The young people who worked there (I had contact with 6 people--4 younger girls, 1 lady a little older, and a guy) were SOOO helpful, friendly, upbeat, and personable. They had the biggest smiles ever! They were constantly offering to bring things to our cabin or campsite. We had a wonderful weekend getaway! read more

First time camping there last weekend. Sitting out by the campfire, late, I notice a black police car patrolling the campground. Thought it said Shirley?? Pd on the car, but not sure. I waved and the officer waved back. My point is that its nice to know that this KOA has the police come through at night to check on things. We will be back again. Felt very secure! read more

I've stayed at this location multiple times, and every time I go, my standards are exceeded. The staff is absolutely excellent and the service is reflected on that. The pool is wonderful for tiring out the kids and the Gaga ball pit even keeps my teens occupied. I highly recommend staying here. You won't regret it. read more

I am giving this campground a 5 star rating for the staff. We stay at KOA's quite often and this is THE friendliest and most helpful staff of any KOA we have visited. Everyone from the check in staff to the grounds crew was nice, smiling, responsive and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. We to go!!! The pool/small water park is a big hit. This place is a treasure! From the moment you drive in you will see the care and upkeep that has been done to make this place special. It is serene and parklike with its rock waterfall, cabins tucked in throughout the wooded areas, and nature paths to explore...but with all the amenities you will feel at home. If you forget anything they have a well equipped store complete with an ice cream and coffee bar. There is plenty to do right here on property whether you enjoy water park style pool play, adult tricycles, feeding the horse, letting your fur baby play at the pet park, ping pong, corn hole, bonfires, or the planned kids craft and movie nights. Something for everyone if you want to tent, RV, or cabin camp. They can even have firewood delivered to your site! HIGHLY recommend you add this place to family traditions. read more

Mixed feelings about this camping experience. The amenities and weekend activities for the kids are great. We used the playground, splash pool, giant chess, and fed the horses. Staff were helpful when we needed to print passes for activities in town. We were sorry not to have more time to play ping pong and air hockey in the red room and to have missed the Farmer's market. So much for the good. We booked online and had probably the worst tent camping site on premises. It was near the highway, far from the bathrooms, and not level. The electric was designed for an RV and they were willing to rent or sell us an adapter...(but this is advertised as a water/electric "tent" site?). The water spigot was shared with the site next to ours (actually on their site, not in the middle) and surrounded by cables? A lot of other tent sites,... so the lesson here may be to book in person if possible and to thouroughly check your site before accepting it. Finally, this wouldn't be an issue if you were RVing but there are only 6 showers in the whole campground.... there must have been 100 full sites when we stayed. So they are nice showers and bathrooms...and cleaned daily, but there just aren't enough of them when the campground is busy (almost all summer weekends). read more

The worse customer service I have ever had at a KOA. Stayed 6-7-19 told we could not get wood by staff for a fire. So my kids did not get s'mores. Turned out to be a waste of time and a bad experience. Do not come and the main reason is the staff are unhelpful and willing to do the smallest thing to help you out. Been to others way better with customer service and help. We canceled the one in Nashville because of this. Will go to a national park instead. They dont even light the American flag at night jast leave out in the dark. Way to show strieght up disrespect to America on the 75 anniversary of D-day read more

I needed to stay in Indy for a few weeks and found this KOA to be the best available in the area.....therefore the 5 stars! I typically read past reviews to see what others had to say. No one has mentioned the free internet included in your stay....very fast and no down time. Typically don't use the showers but my hot water heater decided to play up. The bathrooms have clearly been upgraded and they are very nice. Shower water was hot! :-) I arrived off season and can assure you there are no permanent RVers here. It is a family oriented place and the rules may reflect that. Although the rules may seem strict (someone posted the rules on their review), there were some firefighters here for a convention and they were pretty loud until the wee hours. Management clearly turned a blind eye and let them have their fun as it was off season and no one was complaining. I even behaved badly one day (my potty mouth got the better of me...lol) and they were very nice about it when I apologized. read more

I made reservations last winter with a large group of family members for our reunion 3-day weekend in July. I was given a per night quote and prepaid the first night, as customary. When I checked in, I was told that they would no longer honor the quoted price and I would have to pay more, even for the night that I had already prepaid!! When I questioned them, I was told I could leave and camp elsewhere, which was not possible because of the size of our group. Raising the price after it was quoted and a deposit was made is, if not illegal, is at the very least, unethical. We will not stay here again. read more

It rained the entire weekend we were there, lots of water everywhere, not their fault. But the restrooms were very very clean and looked recently remodeled. Toilets all clean, showers nice hot water. They were working on a new kid pool. The lots were all easy to hook up and get in and out of. We never talked to anyone at the office. I called ahead when we were going to come in after the office closed so they had our reservation on the wall for us along with the map and spot. Seen complaints about how tight the turns were getting into the place. I can see it for an RV. We have a 30' trailer and had no problem getting through there. read more

Yeah, we all know KOA's can be a little pricey. But for $65 a night we should be able to expect clean and updated restrooms and sites and roadways that have enough gravel that when it rains it isn't a mud-hole! We were in the older section which is being neglected in favor of the newer area where the rates were much higher(!). Other properties in the area I researched had worse reviews so I guess they can get away with charging these prices. Specific comments:1) Men's restroom was not clean and was certainly not cleaned daily from 11:00 am-1:00 pm as indicated. I purposely waited until 1:00 pm one day in hopes of being able to use a clean restroom and the trash can was overflowing and the shower stalls and toilets had obviously not been touched since the day before -- and I mean very obviously. 2) A lot of money has been spent putting in a small, but really nice, kiddie water park and for developing the newer -- and much pricier -- area on the "premium" side of the campground. However, more than 10 kids in the water park is a crowd and the new sites are a hike from the office and other buildings. 3) As previously mentioned, the lack of fresh gravel in the older section would have alleviated 90% of the problems with rain and then the subsequent dust flying everywhere when the exposed ground was dry due to, once again, inadequate gravel on the sites and roadways. We've stayed in lots of campgrounds in the typical $30-$35 per night range that do a much better job of maintaining their existing facilities. read more

I checked into cabin 1 on July 29, 2019. I was in town because my son was having surgery at IU. He has been battling cancer for over 3 years. So I was not out on the grounds. I really was only there to sleep. By the time I discovered the cabin was bug bed infested, all my things were full of them. I had to make a trip back to WI to clean all my clothes, car and all other items along. It was horrible experience and I ruined many things. Not to mention I left my pillows, sheets and blankets there. By the time I realized it, I had to sleep in my car until the office opened at 9 to show them all my bites. They knew there was a problem I there and didn't verify it was taken care of before putting me in there. I couldn't go to the hospital for fear of transferring any. I had purchased yarn for a knitting project to pass the time in the hospital. It was completely full of them. Don't stay.... even if they are only in 1 cabin, the chance of them getting to the pool or bath are very likely. They traveled home with me in my car. I couldn't take anything in my house until I knew they were for surely ridden of. I found them in everything.... read more

Do not stay here the owner is a crook. My family and I were preparing to move to TN as I am in the Army. Our lease ended on our rental and we wanted our daughter to be able to finish school. We decided to stay at the KOA in our travel trailer paying $685.00 for the month. We had friends over for dinner without any issue and had a great time. However, a week later our oldest daughter and a friend came for dinner. The next night we were told by the staff that the owner said we owed $20.00 for four people visiting our site. We informed the employee it was only two and we did not realize we had to pay for someone to visit. We asked to speak to the owner to clear up any possible misunderstanding. The employee returned to our site shortly and informed us that the owner said if he had to come to our site he would kick us out. The employee suggested that we speak with the owner in the morning which we agreed would work. About an hour later around 8:00 pm the Sheriff showed up and informed us that the owner was kicking our family out over $20.00 we had not had a chance to talk to him about. I asked to speak to the owner but the Deputy told me he would not talk to me, and he was giving us two hours to leave. We were forced to pack up and leave at 8:00 pm moving to a Walmart parking lot to sleep for the night. My wife and I then saw where the KOA had placed an unauthorized charge on our card for $20.00. To place this in a nutshell we were kicked out over $20.00 we were willing to pay if needed, had the remaining $350.00 of our lot rent stolen and then the owner attempted to place an unauthorized transaction on our card for $20.00. This KOA has no reception for TV, sporadic Internet and most importantly the owner is a crook! read more

First of all, let me condition this review by stating that we were in town for a family wedding and just chose the KOA because it was a convenient place to park the camper for the weekend. Being off season and that we were only there to sleep, we didn't take advantage of the many amenities there. We arrived late on a Friday evening, filled out the after-hours registration and parked on the designated premium lot. Electric, water, septic, and wifi all worked fine for us. We pulled out *after* the designated check-out time on Sunday and paid a nominal late fee (that we knew about ahead of time). The young woman (the only campground rep that we interacted with) in the office was very friendly. The facilities are *very* convenient - right off the freeway. There's an RV dealer right next door that we visited. They, too, were very helpful and friendly. The next time that we visit the family in Indianapolis, we'll very likely stay here again. read more

It's a KOA. Good for big rigs. Lots of space. Seems to be always crowded. Maybe some full timers, but they don't stand out. We stop here every year because it's conveniently spaced for our annual trip. Can't say for the showers, etc. Pool is always full of kids. We come through about the time spring Indy 500. read more

Was very impressed by the staff. Very prompt in helping us when we arrived. After checking in the personally showed us to our site. We had a pull thru with a large yard. Has a beautiful zero entry swimming pool for the kids and also water slides. Really easy to get to off the interstate. Wonderful camping ground. read more

We really enjoyed this place. I don't know if it was the rootbeer floats, the huge dogpark, the landscaping, or just the combination of the above. When we made our reservation we were close to facilities. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded. We were told to park in the adjacent area...no facilities there, had to walk back to the main grounds to shower and use restrooms. Not an upgrade for a Class B motor home. Noisy from interstate where we were parked. Will not return. read more

The campground is nice, & clean however our parking spot was not level & we had to pull up a steep hill just to get in, there was no running water & the power kept blowing our breaker. We spent $70 to dry camp. I highly recommend not to camp there in rainy season, the campgrounds flood. We made reservation to stay there for 4 nights & only stayed 1. read more

pool and restrooms were way across from our spot at the campground. would recommend maybe placing more restrooms in other areas of the campground. laundry room was expensive compared to other places we used. they had 2 horses and a farmer's market every Saturday. so I guess there were some pros and cons. people were friendly that we did talk to but pretty much just stayed the 10 days and left. read more

This campground is well-kept, has great shade tress in the lower area, and has double-length pull-through sites. With all that being said, I doubt we will return. There is one bathhouse/restroom facility and it is WAY TOO SMALL (like lines out the door too small) for a campground that is so large. There is obvious care put into the maintenance of the campground, so I don't understand why an additional bathroom would not be a priority; it would be a major improvement. The only other complaint I had was that campers are not allowed to use mats on the grass. Thank goodness it didn't rain. They do have "deluxe" sites with nice cement pads or wooden decks for a deluxe price. If you stay here, be sure to read all the rules. They are very humorously written..on purpose. read more

The workers are nice, but the owner is a complete a$$! A group of us travel all over for work and we spent 5 months there and right before we left they wanted to charge us for half a months rent for just one week! The owner said if we wanted it prorated we would have had to lock that in, in the beginning, so we packed up and left! I just couldn't believe how unwilling he was to cut us a little deal after we spent 5 months there paying monthly rates! Also the tent areas and any camping spot in the back near the dog park will FLOOD if there is excessive rain, we saw it happen several times. And they like to wash all the cabin sheets whenever they feel like it instead of a set schedule so sometimes you may not be able to wash your laundry till late at night because they don't have separate washers for that, they take up all the washers and dryers for paying customers! It's an okay campground, but we won't be staying there again due to the owner being rude! read more
