This is my third stay... the first two I have zero complaints. We had a great time and the room was great. Our third time is a different story. We get in the room it's 75° the air conditioner is obviously not working because they have a portable air conditioner. I called the main office and explain that this is not acceptable for $1600. I should be able to use the air conditioner in my room. The only accommodations they say are available is to move to an old room and then move for our second night to the room we booked. This is not acceptable. I paid the extra money to check in early, which has now been wasted on trying to change rooms. This will be our last day here. read more

I've been visiting the Sybaris Pool Suites located in Indianapolis off & on for over 16 years & have been a member consistently for the past 3 years. I recently booked a suite to celebrate my husband's birthday & paid for my 4th year membership renewal. After 5 years of being a member, you become a lifetime member & no longer have to pay membership dues. I say all of this to lay the groundwork for the type of loyal customer that I have been. We arrived around 8pm, which was well after the 6pm check-in time & checked in w/ the front desk. It was a wet & rainy night & my husband has a boot on his foot & is utilizing a cane due to a recent sprain. We were assigned to Suite #15. Once we were settled into the suite, we began to enjoy some of the amenities. We swam in the pool & ran into a little trouble when trying to use the steam room. The instructions on the wall said to wait 3-5 minutes for the steam to start generating. After about 15 minutes with no steam, I called the front desk. I should note that I had to use my cell phone because the phone on the wall in the suite did not work. Just as the front desk staff answered, steam began to fill the steam room. The staff member advised that should we experience that again, just turn on the shower head to get the steam going. There were warnings advising against the use of too much hot water, stating that it could take up to 30 minutes for more hot water to be available. After some time, the music stopped & I noticed that some of the lights in the room had gone out, but we thought maybe it was on a timer & didn't go into the bedroom to investigate for some time. When I did, I found that a fuse had been blown. None of the lighting around the bed worked, no music, the refrigerator light was out, the hot tub wasn't able to function, etc. This time, my husband called the front desk. A man answered & said they'd send someone right over & assured us that no one would need to enter our room in order to resolve the issue. Feeling anxious about the situation, we stepped out onto the porch. We saw two mice, or maybe the same one twice, scampering around the porch area while we waited. My husband nearly fell over when I yelped as I put my feet up onto the porch bench. I didn't bother mentioning this to staff because we didn't see any inside the room, but they should definitely address that issue. After two more phone calls & an hour of waiting with no resolution, we were offered another available Majestic Swimming Pool Suite, #14, which was right next door. It was an inconvenience, having to pack up our things & move to another suite at 1am, but we wanted full use of the amenities that we'd paid for. My husband, with his boot & cane, moved our things from one suite to the other while I made sure we weren't leaving anything behind. When I tell you that Suite #15 is stuck in the 80's while Suite #14 is definitely in 2024, I mean it! I was so upset that we'd been placed in the first suite if #14 was available all along. Why not give your guests the best suite available? 1) #15's door handle was loose, which made it hard to enter the room. 2) The "leather" headboard of the bed in #15 was peeling and disgusting-looking. 3) There is carpet in #15, which is just gross when you think about it. 4) The bottom of the whirlpool tub in #15 appeared dirty, but I figured it was just normal wear and tear. 5) The water inside the pool was very cloudy and the smell of chlorine was extremely strong. 6) The pebbles around the pool & in the steam room were loose & hurt our bare feet. In contrast, #14 had all wood-look flooring, an updated television set-up where you could add & access your own streaming services (not available in the other suite), there was a tv & fireplace not only in the bedroom, but in the pool area as well, the water in the pool was crystal clear & didn't wreak of chemicals, the waterfall feature was made up of two actual rainfall showerheads (the other was made up of lime-encrusted pvc piping) & the whirlpool tub was clearly updated as well. It had actual seats made into it as well as an easy-to-use control panel. Clearly, #14 has been renovated & is the nicest of the suites that I've stayed in here, but my upset stems from the fact that it was available the whole time. After years of spending money w/ this establishment, I just don't understand the logic. I was offered a free afternoon getaway for our troubles, but only after asking what they were going to do for us. The inconveniences that we experienced were enough to interrupt the flow of our entire evening. I should also mention that when I called to book the suite, I was told that no promotions could be applied due to the holiday. Thanksgiving was on Thursday, but we were checking in on Wednesday, AND I had just received an email clearly stating promos available for each day of that week & the next. I almost feel like we were given the lackluster suite because we used a promo. read more

This used you to be our little get away Place. Unfortunately my wife illness prevents us from traveling. We usually would get the paradise room. We do have great memories of this place. It like little bungalows in a row inside of a gate. It is special b/c it is a romantic theme mini resort. When you arrive there are rose petals on the bed and strawberry dip chocolate candy next to your bed. They have several themed rooms you can choose from. In the paradise you get the jacuzzi tub, massage chair, sauna, and your personal pool all your room. The staff is friendly and professional. Next door is a large shopping center, where you buy groceries, fast food, see a movie and Ted Turner restaurant that has great food. Recommend book and make special memories for yourself and the special one in your life. read more

My husband picked this place for a quick weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. It was exactly what we wanted. We stayed in cabin #8 and it was adequate. Pros: The hot tub was clean, jets worked, heater was perfect. The steam room was nice and worked well also. Bed was clean, linens fresh, the room was clean. Cons: The room had a few cosmetic blemishes such as cracked tile, door stop punctured a hole in the bathroom door, dated fixtures and electronics. Overall this place was ok. Seemed a bit overpriced for how dated parts of the rooms looked. We are anxious to try the Chicago branch of this chain for our next couples get away. read more

Most fun place to stay as a couple in Indy! I LOVE the 80s feel of the rooms. PLEASE DONT CHANGE THAT! The wood paneling and greenery is so fun and nostalgic! UPDATE TO REVIEW - Spring 2024: We have now stayed at Sybaris in Indianapolis 3 times. Once in the Chalet and twice in the Majestic Suite. It has been great every time. Definitely a place to relax and get away from everything! ORIGINAL REVIEW - Fall 2022: So Sybaris in Indianapolis is pretty amazing. We got the Chalet for 2 nights and it definitely did not disappoint. I'll try to break it down a bit here. Please note that this review only refers to the "Chalet", not any of the other types of accommodations. Structure / Room - The appointments are nice (if a bit dated) and the atmosphere is so much fun. Warm, wood tones in the pool area for the walls above the mirrors. The upstairs bedroom was really neat. It's pretty open-feeling with the solid wall of windows looking over the pool area. There were 2 massage chairs, whirlpool bathtub, a large TV and a sounds system that plays in the bedroom and the pool area. You can choose the speakers to play in one or the other or both at the same time. Also, there were 2 barrel chairs and a small table. It was large enough to eat dinner on, but not huge. The bathroom was a bit plain, but perfectly functional with commode, shower and bidet. Oh, and the bedroom section had tons of lighting options. We had fun messing with that when creating the right "atmosphere". Yes, there is a mirror above the bed and several at the head in a raised corner area. And again, lots of lighting options. Basically, the bedroom area is great for both relaxation and "play". Pool area - The pool was clean and clear. I found out that it is tested daily to ensure the chemical balance is correct and that it is clean. It was reassuring to both of us know that the establishment takes guest health and safety seriously. The slide from the balcony was fun. The slide always stay on, so at night you can hear some water noise while lying in the bed. However, it is not loud. More like a moderate rain hitting a house roof. Kind of peaceful, actually. The pool ranges from 3.5 to a little over 5 ft in depth. The rain shower above the pool is really fun. It is controlled by a timer on the wall and while the water coming out is not cold, it is cool for a few moments until it warms up to a decent heat. Feels amazing when standing under it in the pool. There is a steam room and it gets really hot and steamy (obviously). As part of it, there is a shower head and 3 ceiling nozzles that can spray water down on you. Great for rising off the sweat from sitting in there. About the only complaint I have about the pool area is the speakers for the sound system. Some guest blew them out at some point and you can tell. It's not bad, but noticeable. There was also a garage to park our car in, which adds to private feel. Very nice perk. Service - From making the reservations, to changing the dates (because we had to change our trip plans) to checking in/out and everything in between, the customer service was excellent. Each person I spoke with was courteous and professional. Well done, folks. Food - There is no room service. However, you can order food using GrubHub or a similar service, which we did. Evidently, both Sybaris and those services are old hands at what to do. No issues whatsoever. There are also lots of different restaurants within 5 miles of the place, if you decide to eat out. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time there. If we lived closer, I think we might become regular visitors. As it is, we will have to just enjoy it when we pass through the area about once or twice a year. read more

If you're looking for a romantic getaway, Sybaris Pool Suites is the place for you. We flew into Indianapolis and stayed here for a weekend. There are a lot of solid restaurants that are super close to the hotel, including some in the cool little downtown area of Zionsville. I've never seen anything like this concept. It's basically a combination of a hotel room and your own private pool area. As you walk into your suite, you have your standard hotel room with the bedroom area with a TV and a bathroom. Here's where it gets crazy. Attached to your hotel room is a private pool with a waterfall, lounge chairs, a jacuzzi, and a hot tub. It's indoors and there aren't any windows so you have your privacy. There are mirrors everywhere so it's pretty romantic to say the least! Your hotel room also has a massage chair. Our flight ended up getting canceled so we missed out on our first night at Sybaris. Even though this wasn't their fault, they ended up giving us a gift certificate for a free night on a future visit. Talk about going above and beyond! We are definitely planning on coming back after such an awesome experience. If you're looking for a romantic experience that's different, Sybaris is a great spot to check out! Overall experience was great, this review is going to be lengthy so warning you now. We stayed two nights in the paradise suite, opted for late checkout, and got a special where they included the spa gift set and bottles of sparking cider and champagne glasses. Pros- the room was very clean except a few things, which I will explain. The pool was very well maintained and you could tell they took their time cleaning everything. They had lots of toiletries, they even included toothbrushes and mouthwash, and they had dispensers for soap in the shower which was great because I have very long hair and usually clear a whole bottle of the mini versions. Did not smell of chlorine in the room like I've been hearing from other reviews, the smell was obviously in the room with the pool, but as long as the door is kept closed to the pool you don't smell it in the room. There were so many extra towels, so you have to worry about them drying between uses. They also included robes for during the stay. Privacy was amazing, no housekeeping knocking on the door, blocked off by a gate and you cannot see the rooms from the street. No problems getting delivery through DoorDash the which was a nice plus One of the very few hotels that allow you to check in at 18, most places require you to be 21+ and me and my fiancé are both 19 and we wanted somewhere close and we looking for a short getaway. Everything was working as intended We were able to extend our checkout the night before which I felt was pretty last minute so that was nice Everyone I spoke with was very kind and courteous Cons- Running out of hot water, we would run out before we could even fill the bath, I'm not sure if multiple rooms are ran of the same heater or if you have your own, but maybe I just like to melt my skin off There was a dirty shower head left behind on the kitchenette counter top, that was gross but people forget things and I probably would too if I wasn't changing a shower head everytime I cleaned a room. One of the covers in the pool for a jet or heater or something was sitting at the bottoms of the pool screws and all. I found a few sugar ants in the pool room, not many but a few here and there, not sure what they're attracted too anyways it was clean as I said The massage chair was a bit narrow, I have large hips and did not fit well. The TV channels could have been better, some of the channels on the paper guide did not work, and I audio on one of the adult channels did not work. Wish they offered more adult tv. The blankets were thin, I'd recommend you bring your own. A bit outdated, and there are so many light switches for the different options. The ones next to the bed were labeled I just wish the rest were because it was a bit confusing. Overall it is a bit pricey but I think it's worth it if you utilize their specials listed on their website. I would not recommend booking if you're interested in going out more than staying in, but if you're into staying in and ordering in like me and fiancé did, then you should definitely take a trip there. read more

This is not a place to bring your kids, but it is most defiantly a place to bring your sweetheart! We booked the majestic pool suite in Indianapolis Indiana. We stayed in unit #12. A.K.A a mirrored 70's time capsule. I took the screen shots from the website while I was standing in our dated room. The jacuzzi tub was really old. The dials did not work and some even had a screw holding them in place. The pool was fine, but also old. The tile around the edge was faded and bleached under the water line. Also many many many mirrored walls(hey if that's your thing..)The fireplace is just for show- no blower. They have a DVD player and a 5 disc CD player(why??). It's not a cheap hotel room. And it bothers me that our room was not what I thought I was booking based on their website. It feels like the old bait and switch. We made the most of what we got, but I know there are people who would be really upset by this false advertising. That's the main reason for writing the review. My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Sybaris Pool Suites Indianapolis; what a fun and unique experience! It was easy to get to, we checked-in at the office, showed our ID's, and got our room key & house suite number. We found out in this moment that staff needs to come check the swimming pool daily, and that we would need to have to call and schedule that the next day. It is gated entrances. We got into our stand-alone suite, and it was beautiful!! Well lit, lights (with dimmer switches) everywhere, stereo system with music, and fun swan towels on the bed. No windows to the outdoors, which really gives you the getaway experience. No one bothered us at all. Extremely comfortable King sized bed, and nice Bath & Body Works shampoos, conditioners, and soaps. The swimming pool check wasn't too big of a deal. We called the office, and two guys came right over. Because of COVID, my husband and I had to step out of the room for no more than 5 minutes. It was fast. We stayed 2 nights. We left each morning to get breakfast, and we had problems getting back through the gate. Staff said there would be someone at the gate at all times, but there never was. I never saw anyone at the gate. They said if no one is at the gate, to call the office. I did, and no one answered, and it got routed to a different Sybaris. They told me to try to go into the oftoc and ask for the gate to be opened. Luckily, while waiting, one of the staff saw us sitting waiting to get in, and he came and opened the gate. I saw the code he entered into the gate, so we were able to get in the next time. Loved it here!!! read more

This place met and exceeded all of our expectations. I rented one of the two Chalets, which has a private garage, indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi tub, steam room, massage chairs, and sound system throughout, for our anniversary. The check-in time was 6 pm, and we arrived at 5:55 pm. I was greeted quickly by the front desk staff and was told that it would be five more minutes before our chalet would be ready. After waiting 10 minutes I returned to the office and was told that it would be a few more minutes. At this point, I returned to our car frustrated because we had traveled over five hours and were now delayed in getting into the chalet to kick off our anniversary celebration. However, several minutes later, the staff at Sybaris displayed their customer-centric approach. When the young lady came out to our car with the chalet garage door opener and gate access code she apologized for the delay and extended our check-out time by an hour. I didn't ask for it nor had we hinted at wanting anything. Rather, the staff was focused on customer satisfaction and made things right. At this point, my frustrations dissipated. Upon walking into the chalet our jaws hit the floor. It was spacious, clean and beautiful. The pool area had lots of room and there was also a pool slide. As we brought our personal belongings upstairs we walked past the steam room, which was also spacious. The bedroom had plenty of accent lighting around the bed, from the floor to the ceiling. There were separate controls for each set of lighting, which allowed us to pick & choose the lighting and added to the mood. As an added touch, the cleaning staff had created towelgami of two swans kissing and had placed them on the bed. Next to the bed was a gas fireplace that certainly added to the ambiance, and next to it was the Jacuzzi tub. Also, there were two massage chairs by the glass overlooking the pool area that had fresh robes laying on them. The room also had a coffee maker, refrigerator and two wine glasses. The bathroom was clean and spacious as well. The area outside of the bathroom had his & her sinks with plenty of mirror space. The sound system was fantastic and provided good sound in the pool area and in the room. We hooked our Apple & Android phones to it easily without any problems. There are a number of wine stores and restaurants close by in case you forget something or need nourishment. Also, delivery is available if you decide not to leave the property. We made good use of the later check-out time that was offered and hated to say goodbye because we had such a wonderful time. Upon checking out, I turned in the comments card they provided at check-in and assumed it would find its way onto someone's desk and die a slow death. However, I was wrong. The employee that took the card read it right away and took note of the concerns I had about the A/C unit in the chalet. She quickly apologized and offered us some wonderful, complimentary items when we return to any Sybaris. This was another example of their customer-centric focus. Unfortunately, having been on the road for over four hours and closing in on our home I realized that I had left some clothes behind in the closet in our room. It was July 4th so I wasn't sure what kind of assistance I would receive. I called and spoke to an employee and she said that she would get hold of the Head Housekeeper right away in order to secure my clothing. She called a short time later to say they had my clothes and would gladly send them to me. I'm happy to say that a few days later my clothes arrived back at home. From start to finish, the staff was wonderful to deal with and was always focused on customer satisfaction. Based on the customer focused experience we had, and based on the beautiful accommodations, my wife and I are already talking about returning to one of the Sybaris locations. My husband and I came here back in Dec 2020 as a getaway. We previously visited the one in Wisconsin a few years back. We were pleased with our stay. We liked the idea that each unit is a separate building and has it's own private entrance. The room was a nice size, very clean and well stocked. The main room had the bed (mirror on ceiling above bed and around the room; wasn't a fan), Jacuzzi tub, massage chair (sits low to the floor), fireplace, and a small table and chairs (not very comfortable especially if you're a larger person). My husband really didn't have anyplace to sit. The chairs were kind of flimsy for a larger person and because the bed had a wood base around it, he couldn't sit comfortably on the edge of the bed. He had to sit on the base next to the jacuzzi tub to watch TV. Thankfully we spent most of our time in the pool. Between the main room and bath, was a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Double sinks sat outside the bathroom and large shower. The heated pool and steam room was in a separate area. Since we were staying two days, Sybaris requires access to room for 10-min to treat the pool. You have to wait outside while the workers do the task. Somewhat inconvenient but the wait wasn't for very long. In terms of conveniences, the surrounding area had plenty of restaurant choices and delivery was always an option. This Sybaris was along a busy street and if you blink, you might drive right past it. We felt safe there as the entire area is gated. You're given a placard to hang from your mirror. There is a security guard at the entrance to the rooms or depending on the time, someone at the office raises the gate. An enjoyable place to spend for a getaway. However, our two days was quite pricey (~$1100 which included some roses my husband purchased for me, some chocolates, and extra $$ to check-in earlier). We reserved the room in August for the December visit. I was taken aback that our credit card was billed for the entire amount shortly after the reservation. The pool was heated, the steam room reached a nice temperature quickly, the waterfall over the pool was a nice touch. There was a nice sized mini fridge to hold food and drink for the evening and a microwave. We had chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in the fridge. I would stay here ANYTIME but based on price it will be a birthday, Valentine's Day, or treat the wife and myself to some much needed pampering. Let me start off by saying WOW! This place is amazing!!! The drive was 4 hours and 40 minutes from Ohio. Check-in was at 6pm and we arrived about 6:40p. From the outside, I was a little skeptical, but then you go in the front office and it's bright and invitng and filled with gifts and things you can buy for your stay. The front desk staff was very friendly. We spoke to a lady named Alma when we booked our reservation and she also handled our check-in. She was very nice. Since it was my husband's birthday, he received a text for complimentary strawberries, which were already waiting for us in our room and I was able to pick out 2 complimentary champagne glasses. We got a map to assist with finding our room. When we opened the door, I was amazed. We reserved the Majestic room which included a whirl pool, a pool with a waterfall, a massage chair and steam room. The room was HUGE. The bed had two towel doves on it. The bottom of the bed lit up as well as the top had a mirror with stars that lit up complimented with red lights. There were two robes waiting for us on the massage chair. The pool was heated and had lights in it. The waterfall in the middle was a nice highlight. The steam room was pretty awesome! The whirlpool was nice, though, I must admit, we had a hard time powering it off. Every time we thought it was off, after about 10 min. It would turn back on. The bathroom had a regular toilet and one of those toilets that cleaned your bottom (I love that thing). Overall, everything was amazing. My husband really enjoyed his birthday. My only suggestion is uping the check-in time to maybe 4pm and the Wi-Fi didn't work so we have to use our hotspot to watch Netflix. read more

Made Reservations for wife's birthday got the confirmation. Never seen anything come out of my bank account so the next day.. I called to assure that the reservations had been made They said that I was in the system and that everything was under control And nothing to worry about. So after making plans with babysitters and arranging where all the kids were going to go for the weekend. 2 days later, I get a call back. To tell me that the online service that they use has a queue. And that somebody else made the reservation before me. So now my reservation was no good and if I wanted to continue to use it that I was going to have to wait 3 days later. How in today's world that's possible with technology and computers. As fast as they are absolutely blows my mind. So if you're gonna make reservations plan to do so at least a month in advance and not a week.. they're the most unorganized place that i've ever had The liberty to have A conversation and do business with....I'm furious....and recommend taking your money elsewhere. Un Fing believable...... Update- they called Back a few hours later and have magically found us. The best room available at a cheaper rate. So I'm upgrading my review from 1 star to 3 for now...and ill let you know how the stay goes.. I would also like the mention that the guy that was helpful and took care of everything his name was Nelson. And we're thankful for how understanding he was of the situation. read more

Spent two nights here with the hubby in the paradise suite. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful when we needed assistance. We did have door issues but that was fixed within minutes. There's a gate you have to go through after checking in. The first day there was a lady there but no one there the second day so we were confused. Turns out we had to call every time in order to get us in which wasn't a big deal just wish they had communicated that. We had a great time here. Two nights was perfect wouldn't do more or less. The massage chair was a great and relaxing add on. There's mirrors everywhere including above the bed. There's a door leading to a spacious room which included a whirlpool tub with a spa mode consisting of 3 settings. There was a steam room right beside it which was what I enjoyed the most. And lastly, a pool with a waterfall and jet setting which was heavenly. If you're looking for something romantic and relaxing this is the place to go for sure! read more

I booked a reservation here for a night hubby and I were traveling through, and after searching online for quite a while trying to find an available room with a king size bed downtown, ideally on the Canal... I had abandoned that and jumped when I saw pool suites and realized you would have your very own pool. I had seen villas in the Caribbean where you had your own pool, but never encountered such in the lower 48, and thought yes! How cool. After I reserved and went back to read more, I realized the whole romantic couples getaway... and then read (yikes) how one could book overnight or for an afternoon. I was worried I had just committed us to a "house of ill repute" facility surrounded by prostitutes or scary looking people, but that really wasn't the case. Sybaris is located on the outskirts of town, but seemed to be a safe area (we're not local), and the premises were very tidy and clean. We checked in around 6:30 after having visited the Canal area and driving in, and I am fairly confident we were the last to check in for that day. Each villa has defined parking spaces, and every other villa had a car parked in that ideal spot where evidently they all checked in right at 5 PM. The bedroom was clean, yet not updated as some of reviews have mentioned. It's very obvious the intentions of your stay here with the accent lighting, stars overhead, etc. The bedroom was nothing special, the bed wasn't bad but wasn't great, either. I'm sorry, but platform beds are just not comfortable to me. The two chairs in the room are very low to the ground, and the single massage chair is very low to the ground and very small. If you're a larger person, you won't fit there. The pool was nice, and although small, it's pretty awesome to have your very own pool where you feel totally comfortable splashing around naked. The waterfall was fun, but we turned it off after while because the very warm water splashing on the head got a bit annoying. I noticed some of the other Paradise suites had a hot tub, and I wish ours had included that. There are two chairs in that area, again on the smaller side (hubby and I are not in case you didn't realize). The steam shower is awesome with jets all around and tons of water pressure. We never tried to use the shower in the regular bathroom... why would you when you have a massive steam shower? There were two plastic chairs in there that was quite large, but again quite low to the ground, and I wasn't going to sit on a plastic chair while wet in a tiled shower. If there had been a teak bench in there, that would have been awesome. The bath had two pedestal sinks, which meant all your stuff you placed on this narrow ledge behind it, an update away from the Mary Kay mauve fixtures and adding a proper counter top is needed. The bath itself has both a toilet and a bidet, bit if you're thinking it's going to be a modern day intelligent bidet, think again. Manual operating with water that's not very warm, and again that Mary Kay mauve color. We never used the whirlpool tub or shower, so can't comment there. Hubby and I did got out to dinner, and when we came back it was very obvious that in addition to us being last to arrive, we were also the only couple to leave for any reason. We met the couple in the villa next to us twice when they were out on their porch smoking, never saw anyone else. This place is very discreet, gate access controlled so if someone were trying to "catch" someone there by license plates, they'd have to be very, very determined. We left about 9:30 the next morning to continue our trip, and much like were last to arrive, we were first to leave. Clearly the other guests wanted to maximize the entire 5 PM - 11 AM stay, and at their prices, I can understand it, that just wasn't our primary purpose for this stay. Updates needed aside, less than perfect furniture aside, if I encountered a Sybaris again, we'd consider it because I'm sorry having your own pool is just too cool to pass up... and everything else is just the cherry on top. read more

Love love love the pool! This is a fun experience. The support staff not helpful. We had NO WiFi at all. The network didn't even show up. When we asked about the issue the staff was snotty. We had mold growing in our room and the sheets and bed are from the 80's. At $400 a night I am expecting sheets that are soft. Loved the pool and steam shower but not sure we would come back. 2 stars for the pool and the steam shower but mold, poor sheets, unhelpful staff and decor from the 80's makes it a hesitation read more

My wife & I have been to the Sybaris 3 times. We were very impressed the first time. It was very new to us, never had an experience with a private pool (smallest pool suite), all to ourselves. It was very fun. The second experience, we went all out & had a really fun time. Let's face it, sex is what a visit to the Sybaris is all about & this visit was turned up to 11. The suite, another pool suite (medium sized), was very accommodating. Obviously, meant for a total naked & private stay. This trip was amazing. The Sybaris was on our go to list! Our third experience was much more tame, on our part, but the Sybaris booked us in a suite next to the street & there was a portion of the fence that was out of place. We could hear traffic all through the night. The bed was not very comfortable to sleep on. The steam shower was a disappointment. The honeymoon was over between us & the Sybaris. We noticed some cleaning issues (pre COVID). We did still have our naked fun, but we did let the Sybaris know we were thinking about not returning. All in all, the Sybaris is worthwhile if you don't expect immaculate perfection. You can tell they really try & on many counts they achieve. Bottom line, it is expensive, but for a very private fun time with your own pool it is worth it for an anniversary celebration. They have been in business a while & the decor is very dated, but it is fun. Each visit you are given a survey to ask how your visit went. Be sure to tell them how you feel. They will listen. We have since tried to go back, but they were all booked up. So, none of our cons will keep us from trying again. Go have fun. read more

Drove from Cleveland to the Indianapolis Sybaris location. It was a straight shot so the drive was great! I made my reservation with a wonderful woman name Patty. She explained everything in full detail what Sybaris had to offer and answered any questions I had with patience and care. Upon my arrival the house was simple but when i opened my door I was speechless!!!! Such a beautiful n very clean place. U have absolutely all the peace and privacy in the world!!!! We have seen the commercial and heard the rumors about Sybaris, but a couple nights ago we had a wonderful romantic overnight stay. On September 28th we had the pleasure of staying overnight at Sybaris in the Paradise Pool Suite. Upon check-in at the location in Indianapolis,IN we were greeted by the friendly guest services staff. They gave us a quick rundown of the amenities and details on items we can purchase to enhance our suite. We were also given a key card, key code for entrance, and asked some general questions. Guest are also required to sign a waiver. Located in the lobby were gift baskets, robes, Karma Sutra items, games, and much much more for purchase which is very convenient and great for the overall guest experience. I had called in advance and ordered a bed of roses, massage candle, and chocolate covered strawberries to enhance our stay. Since we were celebrating my his accomplishments and his belated birthday the staff was kind enough to surprise us with a couple of extra goodies. After checking in we drove back to our suite. While driving through the parking area we noticed each suite was a stand alone unit. The area was very quiet and private. As we entered our suite directly across from the door was the bed covered in beautiful red roses above the bed was a solar light panel and red lights. Mirrors lined the wall on each side of the bed and above the headboard . To my immediate right was the massage chair, cozy fireplace, night stand which contain two robes to wear during our stay, and a wall unit with the TV/Stereo unit. On the left was a private misting steamroom, two person whirlpool tub, 15′ heated pool with jets, tropical waterfall, a cool tropical vacation mural, and a sitting area for two. There was a glass wall beween the bedroom and the pool area which we both enjoyed the view from either side. Toward the back of the suite was a small kitchen area with a microwave, nice size refrigerator, ice carrier, wine glasses, wine opener, plenty of tea/coffee, and a coffee maker. There was also two double sinks and the bathroom. Above the sink was toiletries, and two very nice towels made seashells. We both noticed how soft and clean the carpet was. We also noticed the basket of towels each rolled and tied up with a nice straw type string material. The suite was very clean. Music was playing throughout the suite which increased the ambiance. We had the option to play our own music or tune into 106.7 which always plays all the best loves songs. The playlist consisted of the Isley Brothers, Jodeci, Shai, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye just to name a few. There were about 8-10 light switches to change up the mood. We decided to only use the solar lights and red lights above the bed and the light the from the pool. We slow danced in the center of the pool laughed and joked the evening away. Love was truly in the air. Sybaris is a private club where guest are required to purchase a membership priced at $30 unless you have a referral card from a guest that is already a member. The referral card entitles you to a free one year $30 membership only. I have about eight on hand for referrals. There is also a VIP membership for $110. I recommend Sybaris to any couple looking for a wonderful private romantic getaway. Sybaris offers mid-day packages and overnight. Absolutely no kids allowed. Wonderful place for a couples getaway, only wish these types of places were more common and those that exist weren't quite so expensive! Enjoyed our stay in one of the Majestic suites. Check in staff was super friendly and informative with details and questions about local fare. Room was clean and well presented, but I agree with some of the others reviews could use some real updating. For the price paid for these rooms they could definitely use an overhaul in modernization! Don't know if we'll ever make it back or not, but not crossing it off of the list for future Indiana visits should time permit. read more

Que the Barry White music... I've heard people say that too much of anything Is not good for you Baby. But I don't know about that... Sybaris is not a typical overnight stay. It's a room, with it's own private pool. It's hours upon hours of crazy seduction, love making, and time away from the world. It's not cheap however, and will dent - no, destroy - your pocketbook. It's a romantic endeavor, and you can't put a price on that. Or if you do, don't tell your significant other that you do. This place is for birthdays, anniversaries, even a honeymoon. Anybody can drop a few big bills on a fancy dinner, then a getaway at a nice hotel. Skip the big dollar food, pick up a pizza and a bottle of wine and spend the big dollars here. She won't remember if you served her croutons or caviar after a night here because this place is so bewildering awesome. read more

Just wanted to echo the positive reviews already here as some are a little older. The place is still a phenomenal place to spend a romantic night out. Now make no bones about it, this place doesn't hide what it's here for. You realize that right as you enter the lobby and see the assorted adult themed items and games that you can purchase for your night in the room. Having said that, this place is not skeevy. The rooms are tasteful and extremely clean. (At least ours was) You never feel unsafe. There aren't even any windows in the room. The bedroom stays nice and cool, and the pool room is nice and hot to make swimming more desirable. The pool was a little small, for swimming but plenty big enough for relaxing with your loved one. We were in the smallest pool suite. If you want a bigger pool, there are two bigger rooms offered. The only drawback is the price, but I'm not even going to dock it a star for that. As far as I can tell, the price probably keeps out the less desirable crowd that might make a place like this a little more questionable. I highly recommend if you have the money to spend on a special night out. On a side note, try to go on a Sunday or week night. Prices are much lower than on the weekend. read more
