Truly spectacular! Our guided, Kat, Scott and then Phil, with a special touch from Debbie, were the nicest, smartest, and most knowledgeable team leaders/guides. We had a blast. I even did a kayak on my own for a bit. From the education, supervision, and just plain fun, getting out on the Rogue River was fantastic. One of my best vacations. We met a great group of people on it, and overall had the best experience. Dinners, breakfasts were so good. Definitely a thumbs up on this trip. Indigo Creek Outfitters gave us Beta for our first run through Caldera at the current flows of 1100cfs that were previously 1400cfs (no more dams). While we were a 3-raft private group with tons of Caldera experience, and not clients, they gave us the Beta on how Caldera and Hells Corner had changed, and a strategy on running them. The Beta on Hells Corner was immensurable as we ran far left, not the standard far right line. Saved us from getting pinned. My point: Congeniality and sportsmanship go a long way. Making friends over the phone / talking about a river run is part of this great sport. So please get out there with Indigo and enjoy their professionalism. read more

We are super happy with how our trip went today!! The UK is my favorite river, and I've had the pleasure of rafting it 6 or 7 times. Indigo is the best group I've been with thus far! Professional, fun guides, and an outstanding lunch. I don't say that lightly; food is important to me, and they had a great spread for us. Hummus and carrots, orange and apple slices, kettle chips to start, then awesome sandwiches on organic multigrain bread with Applegate cold cuts and tons of veggies. You could really load those up; even my kids were impressed! Santa Cruz limeade and Newman's "Oreos." Oh, and Cascadian Farms organic granola bars for when the kids started chirping just before running Caldera. I also enjoyed picking blackberries riverside. There's a reason why I keep coming back to the Upper Klamath, and if you ever have the chance, DO IT. Continuous whitewater, and so much fun. My kids laughed the entire day (and I laughed at them. We've used OARS for a past rafting trip and loved them, but Indigo Creek had the specific trip we were looking for: a half-day kid-friendly trip in Ashland. Pros: Friendly staff. Safety protocol followed closely. They post awesome pics of your trip online immediately after the trip with free download option. SO COOL! They offer snacks and beverages after you return from your trip. Aaron and Daniel were amazing. We had a basically private rafting group of 3 since we booked mid week-mid day. They still treated us like we were super special. We felt 100% safe even though 2 of us had never rafted before. Safety briefing was thorough. They were funny and friendly and had positive energy throughout. The lunch was awesome--fresh veggie platter and fresh deli meats and cheeses to make sandwiches, chips, cookies for dessert. Honestly when you're ravenous after the entire morning of heat and rafting, the fresh and light ingredients were just what we needed. There was also a granola bar stop as we looked over the first set of major rapids. Bathroom stops are scarce, so plan accordingly. Weather was mid-90s but didn't feel like it with the breeze and being splashed with cool water throughout. Excellent time and highly recommend this company! Thanks guys! read more

A very knowledgeable and entertaining young man, took care of our PPE and introduced us to our van driver Taylor, and Captain Mitch (super guide and oarsman!). I've rafted the Upper Klamath with Indigo Creek 3 of my 4 times down the river. They've consistently been excellent but our 7/9 trip with Miles and Ian on the river and Darby driving was the best rafting experience I've had across countless outings on 5 different rivers. Miles, who captained our boat, provided the most competent, engaging rafting experience I recall--from the great storytelling and humor (They definitely tell butter jokes) that made the transit time to and from the river pass more quickly to guiding masterfully our raft and challenging all of us to step a little beyond our comfort zones to elevate our experience. We even saw 7 bald eagles during the run. I heard my 14yo niece exclaim during one break: "I never knew I liked rafting so much!" She and my 13yo daughter debriefed after the trip agreeing that while it was a VERY full day it was absolutely excellent; The highlight of our trip to Southern Oregon. The rest of the family completely agreed. Indigo Creek also provided the most thorough documentation of our trip of any of the company's I've rafted with, allowing family members unable to attend a more in-depth look at the experience of us who enjoyed it first-hand. I can't wait for my next run on the Upper Klamath with Indigo Creek! My only request for improving the next trip would be to provide dill pickles in the sandwiches at lunch. I very much enjoy bread and butter pickles but dill complement the lunch meat sandwiches better. read more

Indigo Creek is a very well run river outfitter. We were impressed with the care they took to make sure we would be safe and informed. From start to finish, we had an absolutely great time. We were in Ashland for the Shakespeare festival but decided this year to add a little adventure to our trip. We thought a half day raft trip that would bring us back to Ashland in time to return to the hotel, relax, go to dinner and a show would work. Our day was perfect and we are now planning to return to Indigo Creek next year for a full day raft trip. I highly recommend Indigo Creek. They have a convenient location near downtown Ashland and they'll take of everything you need. They even had sunglass straps to loan out and while I didn't want or need a wet suit or splash jacket, I took advantage of the water boots so I didn't have to get my shoes wet. A nice snack was provided after the triip and no charge photos too. Indigo Creek gets it. If you provide superior service, customers will return. We will be rafting with them again next year. read more

Just had an amazing trip with Will. Our family took the Rouge Valley Rapid Run with subdivided Creek, and we had a wonderful time. The level was perfect for our group of beginners (2 adults, two teens), and it was the perfect length for us to get a feel for rafting. Rafted the Rogue with Yann today! It was my kids' first time rafting and they loved it. We had a 2.5 ride with lunch. It was fantastic. The weather was amazing and the river was perfectly cold. Yann was incredibly hospitable, informative and hilarious. I would highly recommend this trip if you've never been and have young kids (youngest is 6) or need a refresher. Full day Class IV on the Klamath. The trip logistics were seamless and our large group of ~15 arrived at the boat launch on time. After clear and entertaining orientation, we suited up and practiced paddling before heading downstream. This is serious whitewater and many of our group had not done something like this, so the guides' interaction and attention--from orienting to interacting during the trip and periodic check-ins before each rapid--put everyone at easy and assured us all that we were part of team throughout the day. Made some good friendships during this trip in part to the way the staff got us working together. During the trip our guide pointed out some of the regional wildlife/landscape features we would have otherwise missed--this was educational and entertaining. The experience of powering through this kind of whitewater--and so much of it!--is incomparable. I've done guided trips like this back east but the Klamath is just off-the-charts fun, varied, and challenging. Something I would not want to do with a less-prepared, ragged outfitter. Every team member was attentive, professional, and down-to-earth and respected the elemental wilderness quality of this special area and made you feel miles away from civilization. This should be your go-to outfitter. It will be for me. read more

Was lucky enough to spend two days with the crew at Indigo Creek last weekend, and had a blast the whole way through. Day 1 was spent rafting the Upper Klamath river, and it was a BLAST! the rapids were big, but fun. The guides were engaging and humorous, Lunch was delicious, and everyone had a great time. Day 2 was the brew tour. An equally good time visiting some of the smaller breweries in southern Oregon. Will was our guide on the trip and you can tell he has a great relationship with all the brewers we visited. We got in depth looks at the different operations, as well as a great variety of brews. We had such a blast! If you have never gone rafting before, you have got to go! In the month of July, I was in Oregon visiting with my family and some old childhood friends. My fiancé decided to fly up to join me the first week in August. He being such a great guy and working so hard, I wanted to make his trip a special one and one he would never forget so I booked a surprise rafting trip (he had never gone before). Hee hee! He flew in at noon on a Friday. I scooped him up from the Medford airport, instructed him to throw his trunks on, and then we headed in to Ashland. We arrived at Indigo in time for our 1:15 afternoon trip- we were ready to go! It did however, take some time to get things going for there were some people that showed up late (who does that?!). Anyhow, we were super excited! Once everyone finally arrived, the instructors gave their safety spiel, handed out helmets and life vests, and we were off. It took about a 20-30 minute drive to get to the launching location. We had the pleasure of getting Miss Arden as our driver and guide. What a neat lady!! We arrived at the launching location, rafts were put in the water, and we were off. The first part of the trip, the water was pretty mellow so it was a nice little cruise down the river for practicing our paddling. While Arden gave us all a little history on the area, we saw deer and a few other creatures. We finally arrived to our first rapid, woo hoo!!! So much fun! Arden was a great leader, guided us through and told us all when to paddle, paddle, paddle!!! Then, after the excitement, another relaxing cruise along the water. We even jumped out of the raft into the water to cool off a bit for it was HOT out. The next rapid we got to "surf" a few times. We paddled out into this one middle section of the rapid and got to ride the rapid wave! So fun! The last rapid, the Monkey Fist, was awesome!!! What a great way to end an amazing trip! This entire experience fueled our white water rafting fire! There will definitely be more trips in our future. Thank you Arden for making my man's first rafting experience a great one! Mine too! On a road trip from Reno to Oregon, my boyfriend and I were stuck in Klamath Falls, bored, with nothing to do. We decided to take a drive to Medford and explore. I looked at TripAdvisor for activities nearby and found Indigo Creek Outfitters Rogue River Rafting half day trip as one of their deals! Man, what an amazing spontaneous trip it was! We booked our trip at around 10pm the night before... can you say last minute?! But they were able to accommodate us easily and the trip was unbelievably smooth. From the time we arrived that morning the crew was welcoming, helpful, and answered any questions we had (it was our first time ever). The guides were funny too! The safety talk was so entertaining, as well as the drive out to the river. Daniel was our guide on the rapids, and he was knowledgeable about the area as well as the river. I felt very comfortable and safe the entire time. When we arrived back at the office, they had refreshments and snacks. Best of all, they emailed us photos from the trip FOR FREE!
