Proceeded to do the math in front of me and stated with insurance it would ~$630 vs with store discount and not using instance would be ~$600. You would think awesome savings? Wrong. She either accidentally quoted my benefits wrong or did it on purpose. Stated I had 20% off lenses when my insurance eye med covers it entirely with $15 copay, states anti reflective coating would be $99, when per my insurance should only pay $45 and stated I have $175 off frames when in reality I have $175 off and 20% off price above. When I did the math myself would be  $359.20. When she told me the insured priced it gave me a bit pause because I thought wow my insurance barely covers anything, did my benefits change drastically this year?! So I left to price shop and review my benefits. I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is perfect scheme to entice a customer to use their coupon instead of insurance so they can maximize profits without having to deal with insurance reimbursement. Funnily enough if they actually quoted me the real insurance savings I would have purchased immediately. Now I certainly will not be back.

To my delight, Leonard Opticians was listed as a licensed provider so I made an appointment, discovered the price was very reasonable ($35) and met Ana Amarante, who not only gave me a wonderful eye exam but helped me process my vision test on the internet, saving me the time and agravation of making an appointment and sitting at a motor vehicle office for hours! Once Ana finished with the " paperwork" I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the incredible display of sunglasses as well as eyewear that was beautifully displayed . Leonard Opticians is a great store if you want to be fitted by top notch professionals. Luckily, my insurance was accepted and I was able to get an appointment same day in the afternoon. Josh is the person who took care of my needs. He was so easy to talk to, personable, & informative. He had a good vibe & made my experience absolutely seamless. Even went over my insurance policy in detail. He prepped me for Dr. Kaur who was not only adorable, but also very kind. I felt at ease immediately, she has a very gentle touch. Josh was forever patient when it came to helping me choose my frames even though I was beyond indecisive and most likely a little annoying lol. He was a good sport and laughed at my corny jokes. Fine service, helpful staff, nice eyeglass frame selection…read more I've been doing business with a few Warby Parker locations over the years, and this NEW location is convenient for me. This NEW LOCATION IS ON THE Northeast CORNER OF THIRD AVENUE AND EAST 69th STREET. I can say that every Warby Parker location I have ever walked into has consistently had staff people wanting to help me, providing polite, professional service. I paid $25 extra so that I could EXPEDITE delivery of my new (progressive) Rx eyeglasses to the store location, so that I could pick up my two new pairs of eyeglasses at the store location rather than have them delivered to me. I did this because I lost my prescription eyeglasses and you do save a little bit if you order two pairs at the same time. For any reader who may not know what I mean, when I say progressive prescription, it means I can see distance and I can read using the same pair of eyeglasses because there are two prescriptions in the lens. And over the years, a lot of improvement has taken place with progressive lenses, so if you tried them years ago and have not tried them lately give them another look because they are much easier to use than years ago. I can recall with my first pair of progressive prescriptions the people telling me to be very careful when you step off the curb, be very careful when you get onto an escalator ...that was many years ago, but today it's fine. And last but not least, this new location is near the Target store on third Avenue and 70th , and it's also near the cookie store called crumble (CRUMBL) so I tried one Crumbl cookie for the first time and OMG the chocolate chip cookie was delicious, at about $5, for one large cookie. So, to sum up if you want to save money, $$$, consider ordering two pairs of your prescription eyeglasses at the same time you place your order. You will save a bit, and you will have a spare in case you lose a pair, or if you want to keep one pair in your bag at all times, and one at home at all times which would make it more convenient for you, consider the double order. And remember, you can use your flexible spending money to pay for your eyeglasses. So, remember to keep that in mind when you figure out how much money you want to put into your flexible spending account each year.

Would recommend him. The women in the back who deal with the contact lenses are also very nice and easy to deal with. But the front area is a mixed bag. Some of them up there are very nice and respectful and helpful. But a couple others are irritable, fake sweet (calling you "honey" and "sweetie"), and are quite pushy and manipulative when it comes to buying frames. Those people will immediately show you the most expensive ones, assuming that everyone wants to drop $700 or $800 on the frames alone (before the price of the lenses and all else are added). They do a lot of fast talking with the numbers and they tell you everything you put on your face looks absolutely fantastic. And if you want something less expensive, they will look irritated. They won't even show you a range of prices unless you push for that. And there was a feature on the frames I got that was unusual and it was not pointed out to me, which it should have been as a courtesy because it was not obvious and would have changed my decision to buy it. Again, this is not all of the employees in front, but one or two in particular and the other ones seem fine. Bottom line: Come here for your eye exam and contact lenses, and if you want to purchase glasses, they do have a wide range of decent frames. But don't be afraid to be assertive if certain salespeople try to push you to buy outside of your budget.
