I had previously used the Columbus Ave location for EuroOptica, but this was my first visit to their new Upper East Side location. First, the store itself is gorgeous--beautifully laid out and, of course, stocked with some of the finest eyeglass frames you will find anywhere. That said, what really makes EuroOptica stand out is their people. True professionals who have a passion for what they do and who treat their customers with great respect. For my current visit, I was interested first in updating my prescription, which was more than a year old. I had not previously had an eye exam at EuroOptica and was extraordinarily impressed. They used the most current digital technology from Digital Optometrics along with the appropriate human touch (which is clearer, 1 or 2, and so forth). My optical technician, Emily, was superb. She called in advance to confirm the appointment and patiently ran me through the entire exam, including a Zoom conference with a remote DO. The exam was very competitively priced at $125, which I could then apply toward the purchase of new glasses, which made it essentially free. Emily then helped me with frame selection--I am partial to the wonderful Lindberg frames and EuroOptica has the most extensive selection I have seen outside of Copenhagen! I am very much looking forward to my new glasses, as well as replacing the lenses in an older pair of Lindbergs, thanks to their two-for-the-price-of-one deal on progressive Varilux lenses. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do about my Maui Jims...buy a new pair or put my new prescription lens in my existing black titanium frame. I was greeted by Bee who was kind enough to let me in even a few minutes before they officially opened, offered me water and coffee and chocolates, and let me browse unpressured. I left unsure and returned after deciding I wanted to work with Bee to order blue tint lenses for my existing frames. Bee was so pleasant, kind, and she even measured my face and frame fitting on the state of the art machine in their shop. I was surprised at how quickly my order was filled, and when I returned to pick up my lenses, Bee was out and Constantine waited on me. He is also super kind, warm and professional. I even returned one more time to complain about Maui's existing case being too soft and Bee offered me a firmer one on the spot! Customer service is wonderful here. Never going back TO ANYONE ELSE! I would give them SIX STARS if I could. Here's what happened: I snapped off the temple of a pair of glasses purchased elsewhere and went in for an emergency repair with a spare with an old prescription. I was greeted by Konstantine who told me that his magician downstairs could do it. While I waited in their comfortable store complete with coffee and chocolate and bottled water, I was given a master's education on the latest styles and technology. Great! The magician emerged from downstairs with my repaired glasses and salvaged parts. I pulled out my credit card to pay for the difficult repair that took an hour and was told there was no charge!!! I insisted. Still Konstantine said no. I shook his hand promising to come back and I will! I have never had a nicer experience in an optician. read more

10/10 experience wowowow the people the staff the store the services the attention to detail just everything overall I have nothing but great things to say. They have some kind of futuristic scanning machine to ensure insane details and precision. The turn around time for my frames (I think bc my lens rx was available in store at the time) was super fast. I took some new fav frames that were reading glasses and asked them if they could change the lenses to my Rx which is for distance bc I loved the frame. Obv this is a case by case scenario if the frame has the space needed for the lens. I'm THRILLED with how they turned out and thrilled with the service. I've been wearing eyeglasses for over 60 years and the EuroOptica Upper East Side store is far and away the best eyeglass store I have ever used. It truly deserves the title Eyewear Boutique. The choice of frames is excellent and the selection very fashionable and of highest quality. The store has two dedicated Optometrists who are very experienced and knowledgeable, using state of the art equipment to evaluate your vision and perfectly fit lenses to the frame you choose. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating if problems with your order arise. The store even will serve you tea, coffee, or chocolates. Really! Over the decades that I have worn glasses - - First for distance and later for reading as well - - I've visited many places with optometrists, leading brands of designer frames, and the latest options in lenses. As a physician, I was extremely impressed by both the deep knowledge and wonderful personalities of Carolyn and Keith. They met me at the door and helped me find the best frame for my face and eye structure. A second visit used a machine to make sure that the lenses were perfectly aligned with the center of my eyes. Konstantin and his team are amazing! I got an eye exam, and bought two great pairs of glasses, IC Berlin sunglasses and a sharp Akoni pair with Shamir lenses. My wife chose Cutler & Gross and unique Matsuda sunglasses, also with Shamir lenses. We also bought contact lenses for our daughter, they had better prices than where we ussally get our refills. This was without a doubt the best costumer service i have received. I didn't purchase my glasses here but they were all bent up and crooked, I walker in to see it they could help and Constantine fixed them free of charge and was incredibly funny and friendly. They're basically brand new now and it was so quick and such a pleasant experience. they had so many cool glasses and i will absolutely be using them as my new go-to for glasses and get a back up pair soon. 12/10 recommend. read more

Such thoughtful service with amazing selection of really great frames. I have used both their east side and West Side location. I have two pairs of frames over 10 years old that are still in perfect condition. I had another pair that they fixed for me. They have the state of the art tech for fitting and provide a range of selections for glass. What's there not to like? The location is very easy to find on the corner. I was welcomed with warm smiles, salutations, and a beverage! I came in intending to have my favorite sunglasses repaired, but I left feeling refreshed and happy I chose to come through.
