I highly recommend Indigo Remodeling for any renovation work that needs to be done in your home. After coming up with ideas and a general design theme for what I was hoping to accomplish with a remodel I found Indigo simultaneously through a web search and a recommendation from a good friend who had just remodeled his place. From the very first interaction through the completion of the project the team from Indigo was responsive, honest, and great to work with. During the initial walk through I was really impressed with David Itah's - (the owner) honest and straightforward approach. His realistic response that some ideas were just not worth the potential cost was greatly appreciated. The estimate was reasonable and right in the ballpark of what I had hoped. Next, I worked with Lisa as we finalized the different components of the design including trips to countertop locations to see stone, tile shops, and comparison of paint colors. All the while we compared notes online as different fixtures were selected. The main project coordinator (David H) and the rest of the team from Indigo as well as all of the subcontractors that did the construction were fantastic. They showed up when they said they would and were nice to be around. Most importantly, the craftsmanship was outstanding. During the process a few other items were added to the scope of the project and the team's response was always to find a way to make it work. Perhaps my strongest recommendation for Indigo comes from creativity in solving a problem in the middle of the project when the bathroom vanity arrived damaged. They facilitated returning the vanity for a refund and then came up with a very creative (and less expensive) way to semi-custom build a bathroom vanity to ensure colors were correct and matched the rest of the bathroom, allowed additional use of leftover stone from kitchen counters and ensured the fit would be perfect. In the end the team from Indigo was able to stage the project so I could still live in my house while construction was ongoing, was responsive to all of my requests and was a pleasure to work with. Apart from additions to the scope of the project that I added along the way we stayed right on target with the estimate for cost and timeline. I am so happy to have a completely refreshed home with an entirely new look. Indigo will definitely be my first call if I move and need to remodel a new place. read more

We needed a total refresh of our space and after careful consideration chose Indigo for our project. We had a good vision of what we wanted and David Itah (owner) and the Indigo team brought our vision to life. From the original walkthrough, David and Lisa (Project Manager/Designer) understood the challenges of the project and were excited to make our home functional, beautiful and done right. The Indigo team brings industry knowledge, resources, professionalism, patience, and - when you need it - a sense of humor and optimism to the project. Everyone was quick to respond, accessible and helpful; if there was an issue or concern that we brought to David's attention his response was "I am going fix this for you, we want to get this right." Our project required us to be thoughtful with the design, as a 3rd-floor walkup unit we did not have the ability to add square footage. The Indigo team worked with us on the design, bringing their experience to further enhance our ideas. For us, our project was enormous and disruptive. Indigo made us feel like we were one of their top clients working with us patiently to guide us to decisions. Lisa was tremendous with resourcing products and helped guide decisions to ensure that measurements, timelines, and the design would work. Highlights include the chef's kitchen and walk-in shower in our master bath that Indigo converted from a Jacuzzi bath. Overall our experience was fantastic. Renovations are stressful however choosing Indigo minimized the stress as we selected and trusted the team with our project. We have been back in our home for 6+ months and the Indigo team remains committed. We cannot thank this team enough and frequently say how much we love our space. In full disclosure - I didn't end up working with Indigo remodeling due to timing and some complications with my homeowner's insurance that I just didn't have time to deal with. However - was soo, so impressed with David and Lisa's very sincere and timely assistance in pulling together a quote. My condo was damaged from a water leak and after water mitigation came in, the damage was a bit shocking to me. I work in the UK so it's a very lucky situation that I was home right after the leak was discovered and for enough time to get a couple quotes. I called several, several groups and either didn't get a call back for a quote, or no one was able to come out for a week or so. Or, couldn't do the work for at least several weeks. Indigo was able to send both Lisa and David (he's the owner I believe) out after 5pm to get measurements. They sent me an estimate the very next day and were cheaper than the other quote I had, and willing to be flexible. They were willing to get the work done within the next few weeks. If my insurance wasn't so difficult and I was more willing to continue waiting for them to "approve" Indigo's quote - I would absolutely work with them. They have great yelp, google and Angie's list reviews and it means a lot to me to have responsive, professional and caring people on the other side of the contract. read more

Why can't all contractors be like indigo remodeling? My life would be so much easier. Punctuality and attention to detail are of primary importance to me, and David has those qualities in spades. He is always responsive. When he says he will be there at noon, he's there at noon. When he says his workers will be there tomorrow, they are right on time. And they work hard, all day long. It was 93 degrees here on the last two days they worked, and it did not slow them down. His crew worked all day long to get the job done right. And it was hard work. They removed the stone siding from our house and finished it with new modern siding. Their stamina was truly incredible. Then they prepped the house, scraped off the old paint, filled the nail holes, replaced rotting wood and painted everything throughout the front porch. It looks amazing now. We hired them to refinish our ugly unlivable basement along with the front porch. We had very low expectations on the basement results as the basement was always dark with very low ceilings. Good thing I have before pictures to show the transformation. We are so thankful to have found this terrific company. There is still much to do in the house and we are definitely planning on hiring them again in the near future. A job well done. read more

After doing extensive research, my daughter recently selected Indigo Remodeling to add a bathroom to her Chicago home. It looked like an impossible job to me as it had to fit in an extremely small space. But the results were stunning! Naturally, when I decided to redo a hall bath in my own home, I hired Indigo myself and I have never made a better construction decision in my life. My expectations were high, and Indigo has exceeded them. David, a lovely person, was communicative from start to finish and all the workmen were pleasant and professional. Site manager Yakir--friendly, respectful, and articulate-- kept me in the loop and did a great job overseeing the whole event from start to finish. Designer Lisa is another of the company's assets, quick to respond and provide options for accoutrements. At the end, a crew came in to clean the work area and you'd never know my house was a construction site yesterday. Used Indigo Remodeling for our remodeling project - I learned about them from a friend who used them and I was super nervous about hiring a contractor as this was my first time renovating a house. I bought my first fixer upper as a single mom and needed all the help I could get - but I really needed to trust that I was being treated fairly and not taken advantage of. The only issue I had with David was a miscommunication about when to come for an estimate, but after that little mishap, it was only positive experiences from there. I even shopped around a bit and found David to be the most reasonable (not cheapest of all my estimates, but I trusted him the most and I believe you get what you pay for). I'm so incredibly glad I went with my gut feeling because his team really delivered. And best of all, they always cleaned up as best as they could so I wasn't living a ton of dust during the renovation. I would definitely use David again. read more

GREAT COMPANY, SERIOUSLY!!! We are currently having plans in the works for an addition, however we really should have reviewed them last summer when they did our kitchen. Long overdue! We had an amazing project manager and the office staff was always available and communication was smooth. Absolutely amazing team and very talented to say the least. Today we will be meeting up again to go over the new addition to start working out the plans. If everything goes the same way it did last summer we are going to have a beautiful new master bedroom and bathroom suite with walk out deck for the summer 2019! Our kitchen went smooth last year and was actually finished in about 3 weeks. I had my outdated kitchen remodeled by Indigo in March 2019. They removed an island, extended the wood floors, created a library/study area, and installed new cabinets and appliances. My suggestions and adjustments were well received by the owner David and the design team to realize my dream. I absolutely LOVE my new kitchen. Indigo just completed renovation of my condo in Chicago. David and his team are extremely good to work with. They completed the work with a good price and ahead of the schedule. Good communication. David recommended a neutral paint color for the walls which everybody likes when they see it. The kitchen cabinets are extremely nice with quartz countertops and backsplash. I wanted to update while respecting the architecture and design orginal to the house and honestly could not be more happy with the results. Completely happy and satisfied. My original contractor didn't show up for an appointment I had booked with them two weeks prior so I was in desperate need of someone to help us out asap.
