    Provence Sante soaps

Lovely store filled with high quality textiles, kitchen, bed and bath items, and unique foods to stock your pantry. Even cookbooks focused on Turkish, Palestine and other Mediterranean cuisines; one dedicated to ripe figs. Plus scarves, wraps wallets and handbags. I'm in! There are so many Turkish towels it's mind blowing. I'm a big fan of Turkish towels because they are super absorbent, dry quickly, and fold up without bulk. I keep one in my gym bag because it's light. I use daily after my shower and wash several times a week. After 6 years it still looks brand new! Indigo Traders has solid towels in every color of the rainbow and every hue within a color palette. And an equal amount of striped towels. They come fringed, no fringe or with tassels. In every size: bath, hand, kitchen and even table cloths and napkins. Truly an amazing and vast collection displayed beautifully along the walls on shelves with easy visibility and access. In the kitchen area, the copper tea pots and coffee pots are beautiful and functional. I bought one several years ago while in Turkey and I keep it out on display all the time. Olive wood is all the rage these days, the grain in the wood creating patterns that make these pieces beautiful to look at while being functional. Indigo Traders has a varied assortment that includes charcuterie boards, ladles, salad bowls and serving tongs, small round dipping bowls, salt containers, cheese spreaders, mortal & pestals, serving dishes and more! These olive wood pieces speak to me! I have several; they add warmth to your kitchen and home. For the foodies - myself included - there are jars of honey, bottles of Moroccan olive oil, pomegranate syrup, rose water and seasonings. A selection of Turkish coffee and black tea. Lots of drinking glasses, ceramic bowls, cookbooks, and kitchen towels. The bed and bath selection is just as impressive with big chunky soaps, bath bombs and lotions. Provence Sante pure vegetable soaps in soft colors and scents. Bed linens and covers, baskets, colorful Turkish rugs and pillows. Don't forget to look up, the hanging mosaic lamps are exquisite! Service is friendly, they let you browse on your own while being available to answer any and all questions. There is no getting around it, everything is expensive. Some items feel excessively so. Yes, it's top quality, but I have many similar items and paid far less. One example is the olive wood serving spoons, ladles and salad tongs. The ladle was $65 and I paid $12 at another home store. Loved browsing the store and admiring everything. If the prices came down, I'd shop here regularly but for now, it's just for special occasions.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this store as we were headed to dinner. When I say everything is gorgeous, I mean everything is GORGEOUS. I was so in love that I forgot to take photos but I'll post the two kitchen hand towels that I purchased. All the textiles are stunning, high quality and simply classic and the hand feel is unforgettable. The price is not low (each towel was $25.00 each) but once you feel see and touch, it's worth the splurge. They have beautiful wood pieces (bowls, spoons, dipping bowls), towels of all sizes, throws/blankets, Turkish treats, the most amazing smelling soaps and even apparel. I need to remember to frequent this place when I need a hostess gift. They have pre-made gifts that anyone would love to receive. Samir, the gentleman that assisted us, even get us a little Turkish sweet to try. I love love love this store!

    The beautiful rug I got.

Love this place, the old location as well as new, down two blocks. I bought a beautiful rug on sale at the old location (still open and still sales). I also have their highly absorbent cotton flat weave Turkish towels.

Gorgeous iron garden tools with wooden handles; lovely scented Twig & Moss luxury candles; local artisan jewelry - necklaces of many lengths, earrings and rings; bright melamine salad bowls with bamboo interiors; vibrant dishes and serving pieces. Backpacks and crossbody bags mingle with scarves, warm camping blankets, placemats, table linens and ceramics. There is a little bit of everything! Any item purchased here will elevate your space and experience. I was seriously impressed! For example, they have round, portable charcuterie boards that when you twist the top, a bottom drawer is exposed and contains four different cheese slicers and spreaders. Now that's clever, functional and beautiful! With all the wine tasting I do, I need one of these! The shelf stocked with specialty teas was it icing. The canisters were adorned with stunning papers collected from around the world and hand wrapped making the canister as special as the tea contained within. If you purchase one for a gift or for yourself, it would be proudly displayed on counter and not behind a cabinet door. The orange poppies were my favorite in case someone wants to buy me a gift! At JP General, ordinary items are anything but ordinary! Hellagood brand blankets that have warm faux fur inside and a durable fabric outside that fold and strap so you can easily bring camping, keep in your car for outdoor concerts or use around the house. This is just one example. The store is just delightful! We spent so much time walking slowly, checking everything out, reversing order and making additional laps - we didn't want to miss anything! Nestled amongst the many stores on SW Capital Hwy in charming Multnomah Village, JP General is a must visit! Heck, it's even a worthy destination.

The store is really warm and welcoming--I loooooveee all the plants draped around the place. They support many local artists, which is why I love visiting small businesses. They carry some really beautiful jewelry, a nice selection of clothes, and other gifts (for yourself or someone else). The jewelry always catches my eye and I found some really nice earrings and other pieces, but what really caught my eye was this awesome bracelet. It is rather dainty and has some small gemstones in it--the one I chose has multiple stones, but they also had a garnet one that I considered as well. What's particularly cool and unique about the bracelet is the closure system. It doesn't have a traditional (or even non-traditional) clasp; instead it has a bolo closure. I know that there are bolo bracelets but I've never seen it on a piece with gemstones. Since this was my first stop of the day in this shopping trip, I decided not to go too hog wild in here though they had several things that I could have taken home with me. The parking right in front is rather sparse, but there is street parking along the various streets nearby for all the shops here.
