The class itself is very slow paced and very chill. It didn't feel like a super intense workout that a lot of the hot yoga classes I usually take are like - there were no downward dogs or ab intensive yoga moves / flows. In addition, since this wasn't hot yoga, the room wasn't a sweltering 100+ degrees. The yoga instructor (I think her name was Francine) was very nice and super knowledgeable. She's also really hands-on and will come to help you or adjust your body if it's not quite right (which I really appreciate)! You can hear the sound of traffic since it's next to a large road, so keep that in mind if that bothers you. The studio doors are locked once class starts. You can bring your own yoga mat but they also have mats that you can use there. My class was 5 students total - but the studio can fit around 10-15. They have one gender-neutral bathroom where you can change in. Parking is street parking only, but luckily street parking is free and there is lots of it on the main road or on nearby residential roads.

Not sure if it's closed or I was locked out since I got there late…read more Had ClassPass scheduled for 5:45PM, on the way there googled studio to get directions and Google showed studio opens at 6:45, then pulled over to try to verify on yelp it says open at 6:00. Called in at 5:25PM to validate open time but no one picked up. Decided to make the trip anyways, but because pulled over earlier for some time and it's rush hour, didn't get there till 5:52 PM. Door was locked, no one in the front, called again and no one picked up. Waited a few minutes at the door and a weird guy passed by calling out to me so I went back to wait in car. Ended up leaving, drove almost 1hr round trip for nothing.

Location and studio very good. Great classes and teachers to do yoga in the area. Need to go more!read more

There are two long mirrors in the front, but you can't see yourself unless you are positioned right in front. I took the slow flow class. I brought my own yoga mat. You need props for the class which they provide. Instructor/owner demoed all the moves. She provided modifications for some of the moves. She only did verbal corrections. At times it was kind of hard to see her if we were facing the east/west Direction. They currently have a deal for 3 classes for $45, which isn't bad for $15 per class. They are also on ClassPass if you want to try them out there. If you Google the address, it takes you to the back of the Police Department lot. The location is actually in front on Sierra Madre next to Nano Cafe. Plenty of street parking in front or on the side streets. Watch out for street sweeping days.

The space is clean so convenient to get to and park. I find that having the space and people that care for me and my body, with all it's pains and aches, figuring out exercises and everyday actions that will improve my life, is so fantastic and invaluable for my busy life.

Gyro helps me feel calm, alert, limber, and strong. Francesca is so attentive and it feels as though she can really see what's happening with my body. Every time she helps me make an adjustment, it's the right suggestion and I connect to my body even more.

Tere teaches the majority of the classes here. My issue is that even though her classes are small, I would have hoped that she would actually come up to a student and show the proper form if necessary. Yelling instruction to me over the music from in front of the class isn't helpful to me if I don't understand. I wasn't the only one in the class having issues of poor form or not understanding the proper way of doing the exercise. One of the students in the class told me I was doing the sandbag exercise wrong, I figured she might be right because later that day, my back was hurting a little, and not from the exercise, but I think from improper usage of the equipment. I think the instructor should have guided me properly. Gabriela is another instructor there. I didn't see her last year, but she is a GREAT addition. I tried her bungee pilates class and I LOVED it. It was a challenging class, but she definitely approached me when I was doing improper body mechanics. I wish she taught more often because I would definitely only take her classes. Tere has many interesting classes to choose from, but if a client isn't doing the exercises right, it could be a painful mistake.

I came across this great studio via Groupon a month before my wedding, so I figured, why not try…read moreout the Unlimited Classes for a month. Tere is the owner and she teaches all the classes. It's nice that she tries to get to know each of her students because in other studios, you don't get that special attention. She also sets up her classes throughout the week so that it's easy to switch from one high intensity workout one day and then a low intensity/stretching workout another day to give your body a good all around workout. What caught my eye about this studio was that it offered Aerial Pilates. I've never tried Aerial Pilates before, so I thought it would be fun and something different to try. The first class I tried here was Aerial Pilates and she was so patient with me and other women in the class. Make sure you do not eat too much or drink too much water before this class because you go upside down and push down on your stomach a lot. After about 4 Aerial Pilates classes, I feel a lot more comfortable on the hammock, but I am definitely still a beginner. HIIT is the High Intensity Interval Training where it's pretty much like Bootcamp. She sets up several stations around the room working different parts of your body. You will be sore for a couple days after! If you're not a super active/athletic person, I would just recommend doing a HIIT class once a week so it gives your muscles time to heal. Barre is a sweat dripping class. You up and down on your tippy toes the whole session, so your legs will definitely be shaking at the end of class. Mat Pilates was actually my favorite class at this studio, but that's because I prefer low intensity workouts. I like that I am not dripping sweat at the end of the class, but I feel that my abs, back, and butt were really worked out and felt so firm afterwards. At the end of the unlimited month (I took about 3 classes a week), I was very happy with how my upper body toned up. I had a backless wedding dress, so I think my back muscles were my biggest concern. The workouts all helped strengthen my back muscles a lot more and I could see a lot more definition around the scapula area. I got so many compliments after the wedding!
