I stopped in quickly today on the way home for a snack. I ended up buying the chicken snack which came with a thigh and a wing. You got a roll and a side as well. The price was $6.85 and a little over seven after tax. I got the original not the spicy. The chicken was flavorful and juicy and crispy on the outside. It was delicious. I chose to get the yams as a side and they were also delicious, just sweet enough without being overly sweet. I did look through the case at the other sides and I will say the other sides did not look very good. The macaroni and cheese Was not as appetizing looking as I wanted it to be. This was another staple in Lexington when I lived there. The wings were crisp, the wedges were just as tasty as I recall. I did order the green beans, because who doesn't need a veggie?! I also ordered the lemonade. The service was quick and I was in and out in no time. You can do drive thru or walk in, it wasn't very busy at the time I went just after lunch. On February 19th Sunday at 10p I ordered Regular 20 piece chicken and was told they only have Spicy chicken and anyways they close at 11p the cashier stated. That says that after a certain time they stop cooking and chicken only takes 15 minutes to deep fry and it was closing in 1 hour; this has happened to me on multiple occasions that they only have Spicy chicken even 2 hours before closing so I will not be a customer anymore at this location very poor management and customer service. read more

The breading falls off the potatoes. The mashed potatoes were bland. The roll was good but there wasn't any butter. The chicken was only so so and the regular had a kick so if you can't do spicy, don't eat here. The chicken strips are fake like Mac D's and not actually fillets. Pretty sad when you are pulling apple peels out of your mouth while trying to eat the apples, I took 3 bites and threw the rest out. The mashed potatoes with gravy had zero seasoning. They seems real (not dehydrated because there were chunks, but now that I am thinking about it, they were probably frozen as well. Indi's . . . the REAL Kentucky fried chicken! So, I'm not a fast food person. The fact that I actually ventured through the drive-thru at Indi's is a shocker. I've passed Indi's so many times, but this one day, the chicken clucked to me, and I made a calculated U-turn. The spicy version of the breast is perfect for my hotter-the-better tastebuds, It was succlent and tasty. The potato salad, too was excellent. The sweet potato pie on the menu called out my name loud and clear. I couldn't wait until I arrived home to dive into my lunch. The pie was creamy and not overly seeet, the crust flakey. I even stopped at an Indi's in Louisville last week after my initial discovery. The only thing about Indi's that is fast, was the service. I regret the last 3 years of my eating life. Best fried chicken I have had in a long time. I had the two piece spicy with macaroni and mashed potatoes. The sides were good. No more than that. But the chicken was great. Decent amount of spice and the meat was juicy. Messy and Good. You cannot tell from the outside but the interior is very clean and up to date. There is nowhere to sit inside so I had to eat in the car. Would probably take home to eat next time. I read a lot of reviews that said the people working there were rude. I understand that. The guy taking my order was not happy to be there mid day on Sunday. On the other hand, the woman who gave me my food was very nice and was doing everything she could to keep up with demand. So they equaled out the service factor in my mind. I am looking forward to eating other things on their menu like the Jack Salmon Sandwich and the wedges.
