Their hours were listed incorrectly so we waited a little over an hour. Hopefully, we've fixed that. This eatery is another case of four of our friends thought it was alright and four friends couldn't stand it. Here we are again. Mr and Mrs Tiebreaker. Strike one: they do not offer combination plates or anything remotely like it. Strike two: Yes, the menu lists Chicken/Beef/Shrimp fried rice. NO VEGETABLE FRIED RICE. (In a vegetarian/vegan rich culture?) Strike three: The portion size was incredibly small. Cost/portion ratio was the absolute worst. The food tasted fine. No frills. Just alright. They are parking challenged because of their location. They've also decided to NOT Re-open their small dining room, so it's carry-out only. The young man taking our order was definitely disinterested. I'm beginning to think that they are the only game in town. People in monopolous situations sometimes feel they can afford to be offensive and/or distant. I think it was more a lack of patience in dealing with Old people who are obviously new in town. I usually don't ever leave bad reviews. And it took me a few visits to Indo China to actually give them a chance. Their hours are inaccurate. They list that they are open, but when you call it goes to voicemail. The quantity of food is very little. Expect to get a lot more of the cheaper veggies in your chicken/shrimp beef order. Also expect to pay over $15 for any decent menu items., and finally don't expect to have any form of leftovers . Portions are fairly small! read more

Amazing food. Large portions. Great service. We love Indo China! My family is partial to the sweet and sour chicken, but everything we've tried is delicious. The egg drop soup is one of my favorites with the nice thin broth, lots of cabbage, carrots and eggs. read more

Ive been going to this restaurant for years. I love love love their sesame chicken. I get it all the time. Over those years, the flavor remained the same. HOWEVER, the sauce portion has gotten less and less. NOW when you order, there is NEVER enough sauce to moisten the grains of fried rice to finish eating the dish. In the beginning while dining in, I'd always have to ask for just a small ramekin of sauce. Now only half of my rice is covered in the sauce. The last resort was I had ordered 4 servings of this special treat for friends who spent the entire day watching their house burn to the ground which I mentioned to the disinterested person taking the order. I paid over $80 for the entire meal. We all were sorely disappointed when we couldn't eat the entire meal because the sauce barely covered the chicken portion. The only place in Boyne city for Asian food, Indo China garden used to be done in and take out but has since moved to take out only post Covid. Solid Asian and Thai it the only option in the BC E Jordan area and it fills the spot nicely. read more

Indo China Garden is one of my family's favorite places to eat! I recommend their crab rangoons.

We're new to the area and excited to see that Boyne has a Chinese food place that's also Thai! Two-for-one! I ordered my standby comparison meal; crab rangoon, sweet & sour chicken and chicken fried rice which was heads and tails better than anything we had in FL. The dinner portions were big enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. We'll definitely be patronizing this place often. Even if there was a dining room, we'd still order to go. read more

Used to be the best Chinese in Northern Michigan, hands down. People would drive for miles for this food. Now, we don't know what happened, but the food is the *Worst* Chinese I've ever had. And I'm old. Absolutely horrible, not joking, not exagerrating. I've had frozen off-brand Chinese better than this. Four meals for 80 bucks - total ripoff. Just disgusting. I've eaten here many times, and when it was open and carry out. The quality of food seems to have slipped last time. I ordered chicken almondine, which was the special there wasn't an almond in it. Ordered Kung pao and Sichuan chicken. Both say HOT on menu. Neither were what we would consider hot. Both sauces tasted the same and it was very salty. We thought it lacked the vegetables mentioned in the menu. My friend likened it to the Chinese you would get in the school cafeteria. read more

Passing through Boyne decided we would try this place. We ordered wonton soup, crab Rangoon, beef and broccoli, and beef lo mein. This place felt very cramped and COLD!! We came in December and every time the door opened we got a blast of really cold air and we were sitting in the middle of the room. Waited a terribly long time for some hot & sour soup; my husband got his right away... awkward watching someone eat soup while you go hungry!? Felt like the waitress could care less!! Then all of s sudden three cooks show up!!! They were doing a lot of take out orders but sitting there like that 45 minutes for some hot & sour soup?? Why could they not say to order the other soup instead?? Felt like a peice of furniture covered up for the winter!!! They don't seem to have any common sense when it comes to people eating in!! Ate here in the summer months and did not have to wait very long at all but it was stuffy.. Seemed kinda dirty... There was a could care less attitude that was very painful to watch and experience especially when an elderly gentleman eating by himself just asked what was good and the waitress said a noodle dish with curry sauce was good and when she brought it out he did not like it at all !!! I saw all this because I was still waiting for my hot&sour soup!!! It seemed as though she played a bad joke on him!!! By the time we got the rest of our order it was getting late so instead of eating it there we had to wait even longer for take out boxes!!! I would have had a better time fishing off the dock for a fish in freezing cold weather than waiting there forever for a simple bowl of soup!!! I used to really like them, but now they never answer their phone even 1.5-2 hours to closing and the phone blasts a high pitched noise half the time to kill your eardrums. Thanks for ruining a few nights where we budget and slot Chinese for a meal. I love planning around that and end of scrambling to find a replacement plan because someone can't answer the phone. Food all tasted the same! Don't know how they managed to make everything so bland and tasteless. 2 entrees and 2 spring rolls tasted all the same. Two employees at the cash register when I came in to pick up my takeout - neither one acknowledged my presence, which was standing at the cash register. There is no seated dining, and they do not delivery. It's take out and that means you come get it and then you take it out. They also don't have a menu on line, or on-line ordering. My wife and I came in at 5:30pm on a Friday and this place was PACKED. We didn't expect a Chinese restaurant to be this busy. There were only two waitresses running the show and you can tell they are busy doing the roles of hostess, bus boy, cashier, and more. And our waitress did it with the best attitude and a smile on her face. We were amazed how hard she was working to make sure all her tables are taken care of. We loved when we asked for to go boxes, she added a scoop of rice to each box for us. The food was amazing too and big portions. read more

Service terrible. I called to see if they had soup for takeout. The person who answered said yes and that the soup was ready so that no need to order ahead. I was feeling sick hence the soup. My husband went to order/pick up the soup and they now say a 30 minute wait. I was willing to change it to any soup that was available except the only soup is egg drop soup.
